Truly underwhelming and questionable customer service. I made my order ahead of time, about an hour before closing. Two simple pizzas, with napkins and a few condiments on the side. I paid ahead of time for the tip since it was a pick-up. My partner grabbed the pizzas, before the pick-up time and they were not even close to hot. The sauces, packets, and napkins I requested were not with the order. I went back in to inquire and the server said it was weird, he knew he put everything in the box - I felt as though he was questioning my honesty. He obliged though and got me some sauces, one of which was wrong. I wasn't going to press him for the right product over $1. I then asked for parmesan as well and he gestured to a rack of packets. This was my first time at Blaze, Idk if it's normal to go grab these things yourself. I was only nice and warm towards this individual, however he seemed annoyed at my very existence. My family was on a special trip and we rarely order out these days. I wish I could rescind my tip. Two stars because the potential is there. I mean, I'm not expecting princess treatment, but if a meal costs me 3 hours of work, maybe a smile and some humility would've gone a long way. read more

First, I am a pizza snob! That all changed when I visited Blaze Pizza at Turkey Creek! I had a build my own and it could not have been better. I had the high rise crust and as many toppings as I wanted. The cheese was the balled wet mozzarella. The toppings included sausage, meatballs and bacon. It was cooked until the edges were both soft and crunchy. Perfect! The staff was led by a manager named Jimmy and everyone was out to make us feel welcome. Decided to give this Blaze Pizza locale a second try after our first visit several years ago was less than satisfactory. The pizza is top-notch as the original crust is crispy (keto or gluten-free cost a bit extra), and there are a variety of toppings to personalize your pie. This go-round I ordered a 2 topping pizza that came with sauce and grated mozzarella cheese; my two additions, red onions and fresh basil. The pizza maker topped the sauce with a generous helping of ringed onions, yet she carefully scattered about 10 small basil leaves on top (instead of a handful -- the leaves, whether fresh spinach or other greens, generally wilt and shrink once cooked). I was hoping for at least a few basil leaves in each bite, so it was a minimalistic serving at best. The employees seemed pleasant enough, though no one smiled or seemed enthusiastic about their work (we arrived 40 minutes from closing, and I expect they were thinking about ending their shifts.) The pizza gods have answered my plea. After several years in a town without an unlimited-topping BYO pizza joint, we have hit the jackpot. My husband and I both chose a BYO individual pizza via the app. We also got a 2-piece of their garlic knots. Be aware that one was drastically smaller than the other, in case you have food envy in your relationships. Speaking of food envy, hubby liked his original crust, sauce, peppers, and sausage a lot....but my cauliflower crust pizza (with white sauce, shredded moz, parm, tomatoes, spinach, chicken, meatball crumble, and pesto drizzle) was drool-worthy. I have never had a cauliflower crust this thick and crunchy before. It tasted like legit flour-based thin pizza crust. I don't know that I will ever feel the need to get original crust at Blaze. The garlic knots were good, but not enough flavor to crave them. Will stick to the flavorful pizza. Especially loved the meatballs and pesto drizzle. I got the meat lover's pizza, and just completely stacked it with toppings til it was basically overflowing. I guess I over did it? Honestly though, there isn't such a thing as over doing when it comes to pizza. Whatever your heart desires, Blaze will do it for you. It was great! The GF ordered a Red Vine, and customized it to her taste. Sadly though, since both pizzas were under my name I misunderstood the person who was going to put pesto sauce and olive oil and didn't because at first I thought it was the meat lover's pizza. Both pizzas were delicious. I'm just glad that my counterpart doesn't like anchovies, that in my book is a win. Definitely come check this place out. This Knoxville locations is super community focused too! I've seen them helping local schools and children's programs both with fundraisers and donations. Parkside Blaze Pizza? Not this location. We had to grab a quick bite to eat so stopped at the Parskside Drive location in Turkey Creek. We usually go to the Cedar Bluff Location which has earned a 4 star review, so needless to say, after this experience, we will never visit the Parkside drive again. Upon entering, the entire main seating area was roped off. Okay, we understand that businesses need to regroup. There was a male employee who had hair so long, it reached over his shoulders. It was not tied back or placed under his hat which to us, seemed to be a health violation. In addition, he kept "adjusting" himself which was a gross out, but at least he was not making our pizza. We entered the line and the person who took our order was on top of her job. After she passed the order to the next person, we were asked what we wanted on our pizza. The fact that we ordered directly from the favorite pizzas menu made us wonder; if we ordered the Art Lover pizza, why didn't they know what ingredients to put on the pizza? Question after question was asked as we proceeded through the line and when the pizza was popped into the oven, they had not put the tomato sauce on the pizza. I asked the person at the cash register if it was normal to put the tomato sauce on the pizza after it came out the oven. He expressed frustration, apologized, thanked us for our good attitude and had our two pizzas removed from the oven. He personally put the pizza sauce on top of the pizzas and then they were placed into the oven. When they came out, the ingredients were so minimal that we wondered wether or not we were in the midst of a food rationing event. We took the pizzas to our table and as we sat down, we saw a person who seemed to be the manager or owner come in and start to sweep under tables. During this time, he admonished a male employee for not having his hair tied back but he didn't address the other employee whose curly locks draped his shoulders. We appreciate the fact that he told his employee to tie his hair back, but the fact that he did this in front of guests was unprofessional. After this the manager/owner began sweeping under the tables, including ours but he didn't even engage us by asking us how we liked our pizza or how we were doing. It was as if he was on a mission to sweep but ambivalent to the customers. Before we left, we asked one of the employees for a to-go box. He ignored us and I had to ask two more times if we could have a to-go box. He then sighed in frustration, walked around by the drink machine and pointed to the stack of boxes. He was rude and left us with an impression that had no idea how to provide positive customer service. After boxing the pizzas, we walked by the manager/owner sweeping the floors and he never told us to have a great day, nor did he thank us for coming in. Until the management undergoes a major 180 degree change, we will never patronize this location again. read more

All hands were on deck in order to get everyone through the line quickly and friendliness was everywhere. From the moment we entered, I noticed how clean, friendly and upbeat the establishment was. Build your own environments can get confusing by this place was not. Everyone was able to go down the line and order their pizza/salad etc. The gentleman (Daniel I think) was so helpful in explaining the menu as myself and the student I was in line with hadn't been in before. I opted for the Take 2 (1/2 pizza and a salad). The pizza was great! Perfect ratio of toppings to sauce to crust. The salad ended up well but they had some bruised brown soggy romaine at first. I asked the young lady if they had anything fresher and she happily obliged! This is what made my review 5 stars! Excellent customer service from her and everyone in the joint.
