The laziest and rudest night staff. This store advertises that it is open till 11pm on their app and on Google. So keep that in mind before I describe my experience this evening. We placed an order for pick up on the app at 10:30 PM. We were emailed a confirmation that said it would be ready at 10:53 PM. We arrived at the store at 10:50 PM. The lazy guy working the counter said that he canceled our order because we ordered at 10:30 PM but we never received any notice of a cancellation. Making us feel like we did something wrong by ordering a pizza during normal business hours on a Friday night. What is the point of saying your store closes at 11pm if you aren't willing to cook a pizza that was ordered at 10:30pm. If you stop taking orders at 10:30 for pickup then you should disclose that and not waste customers time. If I was in management or an owner of this franchise and found out that an employee turned away a customer during business hours..... that employee would be needing to fine another job. It doesn't help his case that the guy was extremely rude and short with us. I saw your cameras so management should go back and look at it. Do better Donatos! There are way too many other pizza options in our area for your customer service to be this poor. You won't survive in this market. The sad thing is that we loved Donatos in my household, but will not be ordering from there if this poor customer service continues and they continue to employ rude staff. Place was clean and music wasn't too loud. Service was young, helpful, timely, and respectful. Food was good. I got wings and a medium Hawaiian pizza. Wings I got were garlic and Parmesan. They keep those two seasonings separate so you'll have to order both of them. Heads up-- they put cinnamon and almonds on their Hawaiian pizza. I didn't know that and was willing to give it a try. I don't think I'll get the cinnamon or almonds on it again. The crust was thin and tasty. I asked for mine well done. Wings and medium pizza was $27 + tip. read more

We have traditionally been very happy with pizza from here. Tonight, we did carryout, and a 20 minute drive later discovered something sticky and sweet (maybe honey) under the pizza. Never had that before. Maybe a mistake. My complaint is not about the food. My complaint is the inability of anyone to answer the phone at the location to answer my question. Open day one and I'm already a fan of Donato's. Popped in on their grand opening day and was overwhelmed with the service and smell of great pizza. They have thin, hand tossed and thick pizza for your liking but today I selected a thin pizza which is cut into party squares. It was great. Plenty more on the menu so will slowing work my way through them. Desert, I ordered some cinnamon bread and a perfect match to the pizza. Glad it's so close to my house as we will visit regularly. read more

We ordered some pizza for lunch at the office. The pizza was delivered piping hot. The thin crust was AMAZING! We got a couple of pizzas to go. Although they didn't get our dough type right, both ended up on thin crust, the freshness of the ingredients and portions were very good. Thin crust gets you edge to edge toppings. Very happy with the two pies. The chicken wings we ordered a little well done with dry rub and could have done without them. Note buy pizza at pizza place and chicken wings at a wing place. Staff very nice. read more

Came today for their grand opening and was impressed, did not take long at all for my order and the staff was friendly! I got some of our favorites the pepperoni is a must and also the wings which I love because they are huge and oven roasted. I also got the Founder's favorite to try and the garlic Asiago bread, and to not feel so bad about all the carbs I am about to eat a salad, lol. Overall I am super happy they are finally here in Knoxville, we used to have in FL and I missed them. Hopefully we will get one on the North side soon because the west side is a trip, but it is worth it for some good pizza! read more

Been waiting to try this place here for a while. I used to love their pizza back home. And did not disappoint. How I missed that squared cut don't properly altho might take some work to get my kid to get used to it. The doneness was on point. Most likely the worst experience I have ever had with a pizza place. Ordered online for pickup, said the estimated time to be picked up was in 30 minutes. Well I live right down the street from this place and have wanted to try it for awhile. I waited 25 minutes and then went to go pick up the order. Arrived and the few parking spots they do have were mostly taken. Walked in and the place was a mess with what looked like 8 people waiting to pick up their orders and one couple who were seated and eating. Tables were dirty, no less than eight employees in the back. All the girls had visor hats on and none of the boys had their hair covered at all. Sounded like they were all getting along and moving at a snails pace in the back. I went to counter to check in and then sat at a dirty table to wait. Twenty minutes went by when my name was called. The young man had three tickets in his hand and explained to me that nobody thawed out the dough for the hand tossed pizzas. I looked behind me and counted twelve people waiting. I just asked him for a refund. Took him a few minutes to figure it out. Took my card, hope I got the refund because he never got me a receipt. Then a guy came up that had been waiting for what he said an hour. The worker asked him what he ordered and the man replied a hand tossed... I looked at him and told him he isn't getting his pizza. While standing there I ordered from Marcos down the street. Drove there straight away and walked out with a pizza in five minutes. Donatos to me equals Do Not even try to order from us. This is the only pizza I want -- original thin crust pepperoni. I grew up with Donatos, our go-to pizza was from the original location in Columbus. When I travel I always check to see if there's a location, so of course I am thrilled to have them here! That said, I have made three attempts to get my favorite pie and successful just once: "We're no longer taking orders for today" messages even a couple hours prior to closing :( read more

Worst pizza I've ever had. I actually think the nasty Dominos near my house is better. Was the first order ever. Is now the last order. Ordered a plain cheese. My biggest complaints about pizza places is the crust. To me a good pizza has to be made with a tasty crust. Probably the least tasty pizza that I've ever had and put together sloppily. Extremely difficult to transfer from the box to the plate because it was sliced into far too many small pieces. I ordered delivery. Today was my first time ordering from Donato's. The gentleman who delivered my food was AWESOME. It got here hot, on exact time and was delicious. Waited a couple of weeks because new restaurants often need to get the kinks worked out. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and their cinnamon bread dessert for delivery. The pizza was cold - actually cold! And I only live about a five minute walk from the place. Maybe I was last on the delivery drivers route since I was so close. But after you pay a delivery fee and a tip (in advance) you don't expect cold pizza. But that wasn't the worst part. The cinnamon bread was burned. And it was obvious because the edges were black. The bottom was black. But as soon as I opened the box I knew it was burned - it was impossible to miss. Apparently there is zero quality control. It's unfortunate because I had hoped for a great pizza place that was close. The best ones are quite a distance away. read more

I hate having to give a bad review but i have tried to order 1 pizza and 1 calzone online and also was on hold for 13 min twice before it just hung up on me. The generic guy also says hang up and place your order online....yea i just have a non stop circle. I know they are new but it says they are open until 9. Someone should be able to at least answer a phone. You cannot have a business that is primarily takeout and not answer the phone. There is just no excuse. read more

Some of the best pizza I've had since moving here from Chicago. Really enjoyed the buttery thin crust and of course the edge to edge cheese and ingredients. The cheese was delicious, and the sauce wasn't too saucy it was just right. The meats and veggies were fresh and delicious and not too greasy. Even though my order took longer than promised, and even though my pizza was not piping hot, the pizza was just so good. We are definitely going to order from Donatos again! read more
