    Medium Founders speciality pizza.

I have a special place in my heart for this Pizza Hoss. It's a local chain - after you've been there a few times the servers remember you and treat you well. There is a closer Hoss to me but I always go to the Clinton Highway location. The Pizza is good, it's a tier above the national chains, and their Wednesday medium pizza special is a good value. I like a pizza that has a fluffy crust. We go here once a week and get a "thin" crust which is about the same chew as a local chains, their normal crust is a bit more fluffy - I like both normal & thin honestly. Their bone in wings are on point! Huge wings, with a well cooked, skin is not soggy - perfect. It's close, I like their specialty pizzas, their wings are better than the other local cafe options - way better than any chain. There is better pizza around - but the servers, the wings, the specialty pizza and flavors, I find myself here nearly every week so 4 stars.

I am writing this to share some local love near by our area. I am glad to see this business come in and give us some variety away from the army of fast-food restaurants making traffic off Emory road tough to deal with. We've ordered in and taken to go and found no material difference in either; all are hot and made to order. I'm a big fan of the crust for sure! Come try it soon, will be interested to read of your opinion for the pizza!

Nothing to write home about, but enough to write a review! This is a typical local pizza place. Nothing fancy. Paper plates and plastic utensils. Good space for eating inside, although I noticed a lot of carry out orders while I was there. When I first walked in, I wasn't sure whether to seat myself or wait to be seated. There was no indication anywhere and it took a short time for a waitress to pass by for me to ask. I noticed everyone that had call-in orders went straight to the bar to pick up. I'm not sure if this was because they were all repeat customers or they were told where to go when they ordered. I would suggest signage indicating to "seat yourself," as well as an indicator for carry out orders to be picked up at the bar (even if they're notified when they place their order). For the food...I started with a small cheese bread. It looked better than it tasted, but it was pretty good. I, personally, would've like to had tasted garlic or something else to "pep" it up. The marinara was too tomato-ey for me and just didn't have much of a good flavor for dipping. Garlic butter would've been a good alternative for me. The pizza was your standard pizza. Good amount of toppings, cooked well. Just nothing special or that set it apart from any of the other many pizza places in and around town. The dessert, which I was most looking forward to, was disappointing. The menu says "half-baked" cookie, so I was expecting a gooey, chewy cookie. The cookie in the skillet was baked all the way through. It wasn't bad, just wasn't what I was expecting. The vanilla ice cream had lots of ice crystals throughout it, so it wasn't a good accompaniment to the cookie. I would suggest a thicker cookie in the skillet, baked for a shorter time, and a creamier ice cream (or it could just be a storage issue causing the ice crystals).

I am always on the search for the best pizza around me. I have eaten here now a handful of times and I fall more in love with this place the more I go. The NY style pizza is awesome!! It's 20 inches, and bigger than any other pizza in the area, still amazed they have boxes large enough for these pizza pies. The regular pizzas are California style and also really enjoyable. I love the BBQ chicken style pizzas. The bone in and boneless wings are both good for starters except I can never decide what sauce I want so I get them naked and then usually get the BBQ, Hot, and Sweet Chili Sauce along with Ranch to dip my wings in. The fried ravioli, and the garlic rolls are some other good apps. They have a bar, and the staff are really friendly. They have live music on occasion so go give them a shot. They also do a large amount of carry out business so if you don't feel like dining in, then call in for carry out. Hope you enjoy this little pizza joint as much as I do!! Cheers & Enjoy!

Not only is the pizza FABULOUS, But the owner, Justin, and staff make this place over-the-top with their customer service. Our office loves to provide lunches to local schools to say "Thank You" for what they do in our community. The guys at Pizza Hoss generously help us by delivering fresh, hot, delicious pizzas on time and out of their normal delivery range just because they also appreciate what we do. When we serve the teachers their pizza, they ALL immediately ask where it's from an compliment how great it is! This place is THE BEST!!

Couldn't ask for better garlic knots and pizza! Service is always fantastic. Don't let the old exterior turn you away. It's clean and hospitable inside.

We decided to try this place and awe are so glad we did. Our whole crew joined us and there was not a sour face in the bunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Garlic knots were so tasty. We both got a different 8 inch pizza because we couldn't agree on one. We narrowed it down to the Hawaiian with pepperoni and the Rocky Balboa. The 8 inch would have fed the two of us just fine with four large slices per pie, but as I said they had so many flavor combinations that we wanted to try we could narrow it down to one pizza. The pie did not disappoint. The crust was cooked to perfection, the sauce had great flavor, there were plenty of toppings. The staff were so friendly. The food came out fast. I literally have no complaints! We will be back!

On several visits, we have specifically requested that our garlic cheese bread and salad arrive before the pizza so we can actually enjoy the appetizer and salad course first. Tonight, we again had a very clear conversation about this request, yet everything arrived in the exact opposite order. What was most frustrating was being told that "the pizza comes out when the pizza comes out," as though there is no ability for the front staff and kitchen to coordinate timing. In an open-concept restaurant where the order staff and kitchen are working side by side, it seems like simple communication could easily solve this issue. We truly enjoy the food and want this restaurant to succeed, but proper pacing of a meal is part of good dining service. Appetizers and salads should enhance the experience -- not arrive simultaneously with or after the main course. We hope management will take this constructively because the food deserves service that matches its quality

Have none of these people been (knoxville) to Adopo or Tomato Head or Jabonis or even mellow mushroom? I would probably say the pizza here in my opinion is similar to your chain pizza delivery places. The pizza wasn't terrible just not special at all. I think pizza can be a very personal taste item. So first, the portion sizes are huge like one pasta can feed 2-4 people and the house sale was enough for 4. We ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and the sauce was mouthwatering the noodles were cooked to perfection and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. When you order pasta you get breadsticks! We didn't know that but they were good. The red marina sauce was homemade and very flavorful. We also ordered the buffalo chicken wedge and let me tell you it was mouth watering the hot sauce is mild and perfectly portioned with the chicken! Cheeseburger was good very plain because that is how my kiddo like it but they seasoned the patty. The ravioli pasta was so good they are not stingy with the sausage and sauce. Cheese bread was cheesy and that is how I wanted. They came out perfectly melted and the bottoms not burned at all so good they were crispy on the bottom so good House salad was a huge portion Last but not pressed we ordered the supreme fries and the fries were crispy and had perfect amount of salt on them. Ultimately 10 out 10 definitely fantastic and the owner was very kind. Go and eat there!!!

The space is cozy with about 4, 4-tops, a few outdoor tables, and a bar along the wall with stools in case you come in for a slice and soda deal at lunch time. We ordered breadsticks, a salad, a thin crust with pepperoni, and a stuffed pizza with sausage. They told us that we couldn't order the thin crust with half no cheese (for our lactose intolerant kiddo who still loves sauce, crust and toppings), as a heads up to anyone with similar dietary restrictions. This is due to the cook time being inconsistent for the cheese versus no cheese sides of the pie. We were asked if we were dining in or ordering to go. We opted to eat there since we live a decent distance away. Our breadsticks and house salad came out first, packed for transport and no plates or silverware were provided. They seemed confused and a bit annoyed when we asked for some. The breadsticks tasted like butter and parm doused funnel cake fries and the salad was fine...served its purpose but nothing special. Our thin crust came out next and was fresh and fabulous. My husband felt like it was a bit more overcooked than when we previously got it. Tons of cheese, slightly sweet sauce and crispy pepperoni. It is cut into squares. Lastly, our stuffed pizza came out. Again, no pie server given and we needed one desperately for the thick and gooey pizza. We waited awhile to get our requested pie utensil and then struggled to cut the pieces with our thin plasticware. The pizza was extremely fresh and tasty, however! If you are wondering what the difference is between the deep dish and stuffed, the stuffed is almost like a pizza sandwich. One pizza crust on bottom, toppings, and then another thin crust on top of those before spreading a thin layer of sauce. The crust is thicker than on a deep dish, too. I am sure that we will get pizza here again at some point, but never ever will we dine in. The trash was overflowing, every table wobbly and in need of cleaning, and unfortunately very uninviting service. They seemed quite miserable.
