It's sad that they have a "build your own" option but Hailey gets upset when I asked for more cheese. . So why offer build your own. And her attitude toward every customer is depressing to know I will be obtaining my meal from her. She should not be here if she hates this job so much!!!! Update: the owner reached out to me about my concerns. I will definitely give them another try !!! Not every owner takes the time to read yelp reviews and fix them. Therefore I am grateful he did. Amazing pizza! Prices meh :/ Priced just the same as everywhere else. Probably best for a date night or night or with friends when you wanna drop $12 bucks for single a pizza Then again, food in California is expensive. I don't recommend college students with a budget going every Friday night. read more

I tried this place out for the first time since it recently opened near my house. I walk in and the person at the first station asked if I've been to Blaze pizza before. I said, No, but I've been to Pieology many times. So I choose the thick crust pizza with pesto and red sauce. Then my usual meats and veggies. I noticed mines took slightly longer than the regular thin crust orders. If I we're to compare Pieology and Blaze. They are about the same, but Blaze has a slight edge over Pieology. Literally, there is a raised edge on the dough to keep the sauce from spilling over. Also they offer a thick crust and gluten free crust as well. Prices are about the same about $9 a pie. We were in the area so we decided to stop by the glendora location. The staff did not seem fully trained and a bit confused. They ran out of tomatoes and there drink machines were almost empty. We had to wait 10 mins for them to refill one of the machines. Will definitely stick to the la verne and Claremont locations. Better service at other locations. read more

This place is pretty cool. My daughter and I love how they have vegan cheese and gluten free dough. The place is super clean, well organized, and fully stocked. The first time I went I did it wrong. I guess when you ask for toppings you need to tell them you want more. Kind a like Subway if they don't put enough on you ask for more. I didn't have a problem with any of the employees they all seem nice and hard working to me. The heaters outside are really cool too! They were kind enough to donate one free pizza gift certificate to GFWC La Verne-San Dimas Woman's Club. We were very appreciative of their generosity. The GFWC La Verne-San Dimas is a non-profit, 501 (c)3, philanthropic organization helping communities in and around La Verne-San Dimas. read more

Lots of pizza places to choose from, I don't get why this place is still in business. Go anywhere else but to Blaze for your pizza. TL;dr: crappy pizza, order was screwed up majorly, and a terrible payment system. -First: a lousy ordering system- First I couldn't order online and apply a gift card and pay the extra using my credit card. System shows "could not create order", no explanation or anything. After trying different things to get it to work, it still didn't. I called the store and tried placing my order over the phone. Worker says, the system can't split payments. I have to come to the store and order in person to split the payment. In other words, your order has to be less than your gift card balance. No sizable company on earth has this problem. "Fine, can I order now Andy pay you when I get there?" "Sorry, we can't do that" "I guess I'll have to use my gift card for some sides and pay for the pizza via Credit card. -Second: order was not ready at scheduled pickup time- Took an extra five minutes -Third: order was wrong. Not just a little wrong. Completely wrong. I ordered a large three topping pizza and two sides. I was handed a small two topping pizza, nothing else. "Sorry we'll have to make a new pizza. It'll be 15 minutes" -Fourth: the pizza was terrible 20 minutes later. I was handed a runny pizza with soggy crust. Why is this place pricy for crappy service and terrible pizza? I'm not going's back ever. My recommendation is not to even even bother with this place even if gifted a gift card from a friend. read more

This place is pretty good. I like that they're nice and clean. Got beer on tap if you like and a great selection of fountain drinks made with real sugar. They have a nice seating area outside which provide more seating obvi and is nice in cool summer nights. The pizza here is pretty standard make your own pizza type place. Personally, I think Pieology has the better crust and more variety of toppings but sometimes too many choices can just make an indecisive person's life harder. The hubs like getting the thick crust and having tried his, it's almost the same as my regular crust. Not sure why they bother, so 1 star taken off for that. The people working here are nice and this place is convenient and rarely over packed so I'd definitely recommend. read more

If this was my first time at a Blaze Pizza location I would never enter the door again. The music was so loud I could not hear the server's questions on what I wanted. The crew was disorganized and didn't pay attention to the oven. One server got offended that I requested he pop the bubbles brewing on the pizza, while it was cooking and extra cooking time for the thicker crust. The side Cesar salad came with very little dressing and no cheese on it. No finishing topping offer on pizza and The Last straw was when my pizza was boxed the guy tossed it on the counter then turned and walked away......WOW... so sorry I came to this location read more

I went into Blaze one Saturday when it was fairly busy and had a pretty decent experience. They were working which was expected and the food was good! But what got me was an employee working by the oven. His name was Ricardo. Although they were busy and focused he took the time to talk to me and make sure my pizza was cooked perfectly. I took my daughter there today for her graduation lunch! It's her favorite pizza. This was our first visit to this location and it was amazing! The kids in there were so professional and focused and the pizza was delish! I'm really digging Blaze pizza. I very much appreciate that they offer a keto crust especially when no one else does! Some other pizza places have cauliflower crust only, which still has a ton of carbs. I think the hardest food to avoid on a keto or low carb diet is pizza, but Blaze offers a substitution and makes it easier! I honestly don't feel like i'm missing out on regular crust. My family members love their regular crust by the way, so this is a place where everyone can be happy. Thank you Blaze for being creative, innovative, and unique! Their app/website kind of sucks for placing orders, but their in store service is really great. Blaze is now in my weekly rotation for takeout. read more

I love blaze pizza. Usually they are great. I came to this location yesterday with my daughter to get a build your own. We got there waited a few minutes ( no big deal) then got helped. So I ask for my items then the girl asks me if I wanted salt and fresh oregano. I said " sure just a little ". Went back home to take a bite of the most salty food in my life. Literally spit it out. What happen to very little salt !? I couldn't let my family eat that. It's such a disappointment and waste of money. read more

I often come here as a go to place for freshly baked custom made pizzas. I accisentally ran into a door on my way out and dropped both pizzas I was carrying. Me and my hubby do frequent this location for the keto pizza and there's always such wonderful service. The pizza is killer and always hits the spot. This place is so gross I went in a few days ago and everything was nasty and dirty, cheese was in the sauces, it was all over the counter and it was sickening, there were ingredients mixed in with each other that shouldn't be, if you are vegan or vegetarian I wouldn't go there. Manager was super slow and he even kept his gloves on that he was using to press the dough, went to the back and did who knows what, then continued to use then when he returned back to the front. I got a veggies pizza and even one of the guys used the same pizza cutter for the meat pizzas as my veggie, I am vegetarian and meat makes me psychically ill I unfortunately wasn't able to eat the entire pizza because of this. It's almost sad because the actual manager was there and didn't seem to care about the mess and how disgusting it was, cross contamination at it's finest. I would never recommend going to this store ever. New management please! read more

I remember the Addams Family pinball table, the original Turtles arcade, King of the Monsters, Baseball Stars, the octagonal shape bar counter adjacent to the open pizza kitchen, the wall mirror tiles with yellow veins over the red leather booths and the RGB TV projector showing Raiders games on the walls. I remember the slices, pepperoni when I was that kid, the tomato sauce was thicker, chunkier. After Mikey's closed and moved I figured it was over, the end of an era forever. I learned of a Michaelangelo's in San Dimas through casual research in 2019, there is a Michael Angelo's somewhere in California but it wasn't until after the pandemic that I learned through more research the San Dimas and Monterey Park locations were/are the same place. I returned for the first time in 34 years May of '26. I ordered a medium meat lovers pizza to see what would happen. The dark red walls, the multiple flat screens and the modern arcade decor are a far cry from the 80's and early 90's. Still, they provide a welcome atmosphere of familiarity. The nostalgia builds all over again. The recipe felt so familiar and delicious to me but more than that. Michaelangelo's pizza tasted like memories. I tried the Michaelangelo's special in June. The Supreme pizza that you don't appreciate as a kid but only as an adult. The almost sourdough taste to the crust, the olive oil or canola oil flavor to the vegetables and cheese. I requested and got an extra layer of marinara sauce at no extra charge. It was sweet, tangy, I do miss the thick, chunky texture the sauce used to be on those slices but, as most of us old timers say, that was a long time ago. Based upon my three recent visits to Mikey's, because I am not in their 5 mile radius and I can only visit once a month, Michaelangelo's Pizza 1985 gets a solid from me. Do not order ahead of time except for catering. Walk in to order and visit as late as 7 to 7:30pm as they'll still keep those ovens on. Forget Domino's, bland. Forget Pizza Hut, it's spicy sponge. Forget Little Caesars, the cheese is Chef Boyardee. Chuck E. Cheese, WTF is that?! Forget Round Table, Shakeys and Straw Hat, their pizzas are the typical pay grade above DiGiornos but Michaelangelo's pizza tastes like memories, absolute bloody good memories. And nothing, I mean nothing has literally replaced the empty space that Michaelangelo's left behind in Monterey Park near East Los Angeles College longer than a few months. All those businesses failed and continue to fail. When I go there, it's not just the great pizza but the 80's and early 90's trip through time in TV and video games. That's what Michaelangelo's means to me.

She immediately put me on hold to transfer me to the woman who incorrectly inputted my order w/o relaying any of the info to her. So when the woman got on the phone, I had to repeat the info, wait for her to understand & connect the dots, and discuss a solution. All I got was an offer to check with the kitchen and, if they weren't too busy, get the order made. She never apologized, but did agree to "rush" the order. Food arrived an hour later (after our guests arrived). No discount on the receipt, no apology - they did include a container of about a dozen mini-cookies - gee, thanks. not even enough for 1/2 our guests. And, to add insult to injury, some of the ham sandwiches had hard cartilage/ham bone (not sure) in them. Chew carefully I guess. Maybe the ownership changed b/c this is not what I expected from PPP .. how disappointing.
