I've always loved PPP & have been a loyal customer for many years. After yesterday, however, I'm not sure I'll go back. Here's why: Friday @ 12:45p, I called to place a catering order to be delivered tomorrow (Saturday) @ 5:15pm - over $200 in food. Everything was confirmed to be good-to-go. Saturday @ 5:30p as I was finishing the prep for 50 people arriving to our house (25 of them kids), I realized the food hadn't arrived so I called for the ETA. The girl was baffled at the inquiry - there was no such order - she then discovered it had been wrongly inputted as an order for Sunday! She immediately put me on hold to transfer me to the woman who incorrectly inputted my order w/o relaying any of the info to her. So when the woman got on the phone, I had to repeat the info, wait for her to understand & connect the dots, and discuss a solution. All I got was an offer to check with the kitchen and, if they weren't too busy, get the order made. She never apologized, but did agree to "rush" the order. Food arrived an hour later (after our guests arrived). No discount on the receipt, no apology - they did include a container of about a dozen mini-cookies - gee, thanks. not even enough for 1/2 our guests. And, to add insult to injury, some of the ham sandwiches had hard cartilage/ham bone (not sure) in them. Chew carefully I guess. Maybe the ownership changed b/c this is not what I expected from PPP .. how disappointing. read more

The order was ready in half an hour. I arrived early and my order was ready even before! I ordered; - Vegan Supreme Pizza 5/5 Vegan Pepperoni, Vegan Ham, Vegan Sausage, Green Pepper, Red Onion, Mushroom, and black olives. - Hawaiian Pizza 5/5 It has Canadian Bacon and pineapple. - Papa's Supreme Pizza 5/5 It has peperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, bell peppers and olive - Chicken Tenders 5/5 large pieces of chicken tenders, crispy from outside and juicy from inside. To paraphrase an old Clint Eastwood film, here's the good, bad and ugly of Papa Pie... The Bad- As a part time Uber Courier, I've made a pair of deliveries from Papa Pie and both times experienced first hand what other Yelpers have justifiably yelped about... Interminably long wait times of 15-20 minutes AFTER my arrival to the restaurant. Unacceptable given that Uber Eats orders are supposed to be ready within a couple minutes, tops, of when I get my notification of the gig. Doubly bad because these wait times cause my "prorated hourly earnings" to nosedive faster than a Nipponese fighter pilot at Pearl Harbor AND because at this point only my personal honor and integrity "to complete the mission" compel me to carry out each delivery. [Note: Uber drivers are given an opportunity to cancel late restaurant orders when the restaurant is to blame] On both of my deliveries, I noticed a plethora of younger, teenaged employees largely milling around, faces buried in their phones and paying little to no attention to incoming orders on Papa Pie's Kitchen Delivery System (KDS) screen. Both times I distinctly noticed how both of my client's orders hadn't even been presented to the KITCHEN before my arrival. A noticeable and candidly galling breakdown in training and work flow that can and should be addressed, stat. The GOOD?! My personal experience with Papa Pie this past Monday night was very good. I was jonesing for well made Italian pizza and had placed my order for a ten-inch BBQ Chicken pie w/ a side of garlic cheese bread when I accepted an 18-mile delivery from a rival Cucina to Rancho Cucamonga. Nonplussed and determined to preserve my order, I asked the lady behind the counter if they could keep my food in the warmer 'til I returned in around an hour. I subsequently returned 55 minutes later to find my food sufficiently warm. When I tore into it at the house, the pizza was very good, a rock solid 4 stars. Ditto for the cheesy, garlicky breadsticks. The lone reason I've deducted a star is because of personal preference for the sweeter crusts employed by California Pizza Kitchen and Papa John's. Papa Pie's crust is sufficiently thick, crusty and doughy ... but just lacks that slight honey wheat imbued sweetness that a pair of his rivals utilize. The restroom was suitably clean and stocked and my order cost me $23.47 incl taxes. read more

2nd time coming here...one of my favorite local-ish pizza places. They are very generous with toppings and cheese. Crust is fluffy and crunchy. They had a current deal of 2 med 2 topping pizzas and a 2 liter for $23.99 or something like that. Either way not a bad deal especially for the quality. Just threw away $55 of food. The person who delivered my food was messy looking and didn't say a word (that I could recall). All I could think about was, is my food ok. Call the store asking if the delivery person was their employee, thinking they might be a DoorDash type. The store assured me that he was their employee. OMG...I lived a half block from an amazing pizza spot in Downtown Boston back in 2006. I've been waiting for anything even close to that level and today is the day. We got 3 kinds tonight. Cheese for the kids, heirloom tomato slice and a slice of Jalapeño Prosciutto. Topped it off with the most crisp Cesar salad and some ranch dressing. Bottom of the pizza had a crispy crust and the most amazing flavors. Even my kids said it was the best pizza! Should have gotten a picture of the heirloom tomato pizza. We come here regularly for their vegan options, particularly their vegan pizza and vegan salad chef salad. We love how the pizza always tastes great and the salad is very well served. I like how they have a vegan menu with many vegan items. Although we've never ate inside the restaurant, there is plenty of seating . The people are always nice and welcoming. The last time we ordered from here, we noticed that there was a going to be a pizza party/gathering for kids, which is very cool! I placed an online order through the SliceLife site, and the whole process was quick and easy. They even had some great online specials listed at the bottom of the page, which was a nice bonus! For a birthday get-together, I ordered six XL pizzas, a half tray of Spaghetti Bolognese, and a half tray of Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo. Both pasta trays also came with breadsticks, which was perfect for feeding a crowd. Everything was delicious! The pizzas were great, and both pasta dishes were really good, but I have to give a special shout-out to the Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo which was exceptionally delicious and definitely my family's favorite! This reflects our personal experience. We had been loyal customers since the restaurant opened, ordering nearly every weekend. A couple of months ago, the service declined so sharply that we stopped returning. Despite placing orders well in advance, our food was never started until we arrived--an issue that happened repeatedly. Staff consistently let phone orders sit untouched, showing disregard for customers' time. The cause was obvious: during our 30-minute wait at the location added to the 20 minutes phone order, employees stood around chatting or on their phones. When I mentioned the ongoing problem to the cashier, instead of a simple apology like "sorry for the delay" or "thank you for your patience", I received a dismissive "It depends...," which signaled poor training and professionalism. Management should remember that employees are the face of the business. Hire and train staff who value customers and take pride in their work. Even great food can't make up for consistently unprofessional service. We haven't returned in months and have since found reliable alternatives. We may try again someday, but if the indifference continues, we won't hesitate to share our full experience to a wider audience. read more

I ordered baked ziti for pick up. I did not check it before I left the store. When I got home, I found the cheese was baked to a crisp and was inedible. I also discovered that ground beef covered most of the noodles. I have never seen, before this occasion, baked ziti covered with ground beef. I was not ordering spaghetti with meat sauce. I thought I was ordering baked ziti, which is typically cooked in a marinara sauce and covered with cheese until it is melted and covers the noodles completely, not baked to a crisp. It also came with a salad, so much of which was crammed into the container that the packet of dressing would not even come close to covering.
