Lunch at blaze pizza was great! Service was fun and upbeat.. they had a smile and chatted the whole time while happily made my pizza. The restaurant is big with plenty of seatings all around. I had a make my own pizza with thick crust! Light spicy red sauce with .. sausage, ham, pepperoni, basil, mushrooms, spinach, jalepeno and pineapples.. yes pineapples are delicious on pizza lol The pizza was baked in an open oven and came out smelling and tasting delicious! read more

The pizza place is very hot inside, not sure if the A/C does not work but this seems to be one of the few pizza joints where the oven seems to be the cooling mechanism. The restrooms are filthy. I have seen better porto potties than these ones. One restroom was out of order and the one unit that actually was working, looked like a 3rd world restroom. Blaze corporate needs to do some serious damage control here. read more

Pretty good build your own pizza. I haven't been to a spot like this since pizza press and garage brewing. I sure do miss those pizza joints. Service is good. There's seating inside and outside. They have fountain drinks, and Parmesan, pepper and oregano shakers. I ordered a salad and half pizza. Both were good, I wish the salad had a little less olives. I did my best to try not to put too many toppings on my pizza. I tend to do that and it becomes too heavy and falls apart. The wine was ok. You taste the plastic. I'm not sure if they had a glass for you to pour into. I'd definitely come back despite the wine being a bit off-putting. read more

$18.31 for a build your own, and no tip, I'm taking this food to go and am getting sick of tired of there being a default tip. Even restaurants don't do that it's disgusting. I can get two almost three Domino's medium pizza for the price of one Blaze pizza, and I think quality on ingredients is similar Blaze however does have more options. Service was friendly enough young kids working. I just don't see the major appeal to eat-in it's kind of not clean, women's bathroom is out of order, beers are $10. For a quick take home pizza okay, anything more than that I'm going to BJ's across the street where it doesn't feel like I'm being nickel and dimed. Pizza came out same good as always. If the owner can give me a reasonable explanation, why they have automatic electronic tips added during checkout I will be more than happy to change this review to five stars. read more

Last Friday I was really craving some pizza and figured I'd try out a new place close to me and blaze was that place . Ordered online and that was easy enough and pick up was easy as well. It wasn't until I got home that I was super sad to see my wife's pizza had franks hot sauce on it instead of the hot honey, that was upset #1. I then open mine and it was correct but it just looked blah, I don't know how else to describe it. I was hoping the taste would blow me away but it just made me more sad . It was just a floppy , uncooked all the way pizza . For the price of these expensive pizzas I was hoping for some top tier . The only thing we really enjoyed was the cookie and smore pie . I won't be back but that's ok, it's not for everyone . read more

I come here to get their vegan pizzas sometimes. I'm not always vegan so I know their vegan cheese isn't that far off from the real thing, they also have vegan chorizo. I like the crust, I always get well done and still I feel like it could be crispier. I ordered on Uber eats the other day and waited outside in my car, when it got closer to my pick up time I went inside and ask the lady when it will be done. She was frazzled a bit, I think the tablet for Uber eats was off or something cause she was not working on my pizzas at all yet. I wasn't in any rush, it was right when they first opened so I will give them some grace, but I did not get my pizza on time. The toppings and everything are yummy, be careful with some drizzles like the balsamic because they tend to be a little heavy handed with them Overall I do plan on coming back, the location is clean and convenient. read more

I came here at 5pm on the Saturday after the Fourth of July. The crust was crispy, and the cheese was pull-y. Where I think these pizzas stand out is the tomato sauce and the number of toppings afforded. The spicy sauce is indeed very delicious and spicy, and you can get unlimited toppings for $15.99. This is definitely a top pick amongst pizza chains. read more

This location is located at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall. I stopped by to get some pizzas to-go after shopping. I was there around lunch time. It was busy and the line moved slowly. Online it says they close at 9:00 pm we arrive at 8:40 and they said they're closed the employee told us he turned the oven off 10 minutes ago. Why are you shutting down at 8:30 when it says online yall close at 9. Change the times to be correct if you're shutting down the place 30 minutes before it says it closes online. It was a huge waste of our gas to drive all the way over there only for them to be closed way earlier than posted. read more

Update: Read the 1 & 2 & 3 star reviews to know why to avoid this places. No clue if the 4 stars are fake reviews or not, but no way this place legit has this high a rating. I Did ask asked per response on my review from 'owner' and still zero response all this time later. Zero customer service. Must be an automated response on Yelp to say message us and we will making things right just to do absolutely nothing. 3 years being their customer and it's been 3 years of bad customer service for decent pizza. Way too many other places to choose from that has great pizza AND great customer service. To add insult to injury, they changed their app and deleted all my points. Lost the free pizza and was 2 pts away from free cheesy bread I'd saved up for. That 58 could have also gone towards a free drink or dessert. Was told do these steps and they will put pts back on. I've done the steps 3 times now. Nada. Another email telling me to do even more steps and give them the date the first time I've signed in to their app.... Who remembers that?! the date the first time I've signed in to their app... what?! It wasn't this major event that yielded I mark my calendar to celebrate each year lol. And this was not part of the process. This was an added step they've added to this crazy process just last email. A lot of work for a place that stays unkept with tables and chairs customers must clean themselves before sitting, repeatedly new workers who do not know how to work the register (last time three workers couldn't figure out how to fix the register issue and it took so long that my order of two pizzas were ready and there I still stood waiting at the register. I paid and wanted a receipt. She'd taken my money and transaction was complete but no receipt so they put it all in the register again and expected me to pay... again. No, that's not how that works. So no receipt, and they still were figuring out if I needed to pay again... what? Thankfully the lady who I paid kept saying I already paid and transaction was complete but I just wanted a receipt to get the pts for rewards. Still no receipt, no rewards, and the other workers remained confused and fought the register saying the register is always having issues. I asked if I could please get my food so my family could eat while they figure out how to get me my receipt. She said go ahead but they hesitated as if to make me stand there longer... our food has been ready. Blaze pizza gets cold really fast, you gotta eat it in the moment or it's NOT tasty at all. And it's not good reheated at all. They finally all okayed me getting my food I'd already paid for. We ate and still no receipt. And no dessert either. I asked and they didn't know what to do. I'd gotten a dessert using my rewards. They couldn't pull up my transaction and as you know and they know... no receipt. She remembered I ordered a dessert but couldn't prove it. So I scanned my rewards again. It took so long for them to give me the dessert that's already prepared btw, that my family went on to the car. It was such an annoying experience. It was around 15 mins... that's a long wait for something already prepared. My family never wants to return. They said it's not that good and there's always an issue with the register. It's been dirty every visit and workers look as unhappy as the customers. I like the pizza, I like the set up. In Kentucky it's a wonderful experience and was our favorite pizza place. We'd go weekly there. I keep trying to retry this place every so many months since moving to SoCal... we are repeatedly disappointed. What happened Blaze? Did y'all sell out? Is it no longer family owned? Y'all had such a good thing going. Turns out they did. Sadly. Someone famous bought it and it went downhill since. Sad. Still waiting on my pts to be fixed... turns out they are having issues internally nationwide on top of the in store register issues so it may take a long while to fix it. Still no one is addressing any of the other issues. This location also will not honor any discounts or deals. Nada. Even deals blaze emails you. Nada. They will not give any of the blaze discounts via app nor email etc. They said manager told they to say no to any offers. Full price is all that's available at this location per manager. read more

They are a make-your-own-pizza place but just ok. We got here pretty late at night and it was empty. The guys manning the counter were a little bit confused about our orders, but we got them right at the end. I ordered the half and half signature bbq chicken with fast fired meatballs and my husband ordered the signature carnivore pizza. Both pizzas were just ok, nothing great to write home about but the carnivore was better than the chicken. I think I expected the meatballs to be fried because it said fast fired, but they were just regular meatballs. This ended up being a lot of food, so we took some home. The meatballs tasted better the next day when they were heated more. I was hopeful of this place delivering good pizza since we live within walking distance, but it is just average. read more

I'm so sorry to give this location such a low review, but the oven staff have not been trained to properly cook a gluten-free pizza. Regular pizza crust has far less moisture than the gluten-free dough, so the gluten-free pizza's need to be in the hot area of the oven or in slightly longer so the dough is properly cooked. I almost always make the drive to the Blaze Pizza in San Clemente because they consistently cook gluten-free pizza to perfection! They are well-cooked, crispy, and not burnt. I ordered a gluten-free pizza at both locations with the same ingredients on two different days and my pizza at San Clemente was delightful (and far cheaper!), but my pizza at Carlsbad was soggy and a mess to eat. Since I must eat gluten-free, I appreciate the effort that management at the San Clemente location makes to make sure their customers get properly cooked and delicious gluten-free pizza. It's a delight to eat there, not so at the Carlsbad location. Also, Carlsbad charges $6 extra for their gluten-free dough. That's absolutely ridiculous!!! read more

Excellent pizza the way you want it, lite or extra on the toppings, no big deal. Pizza is done in a jiffy,

This location truly goes above and beyond! When you have food allergies, you get used to people making you feel bad for having them, or dismissing them altogether. Stopped by to grab some pizza after the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The line was super long but it moved fairly fast and getting my pizza was pretty fast as well. I am super happy that they offer different types of crust. From GF dough, Keto, and even cauliflower! There is an additional charge between 5-5.0 more. I ordered one pizza with the red sauce and one pizza with the white sauce. The gentleman that made my pizza was very nice and didn't rush me as I was adding all my fav toppings to my pizzas. My white sauce pizza did come out a little bit bland, the white sauce didn't have much flavor to it. Def try adding some sea salt / some type of flavor if you want to taste more. The pizza was made pretty quick and it was easy to grab my pizza and head back to my table. The ambience is pretty busy during peak hours. I did notice that there wasn't any staff going around and cleaning the tables so it was pretty much clean your own table if you want to use it. read more

The Blaze logo with flames says it all, this spot is lit! Feel like a master chef and build your pizza from scratch. Not a fan of red sauce? No problem, go with white. Not a fan of white sauce? Then pesto is for you. Match your "finish" with pesto on top too, or go with a Buffalo or spicy ranch sauce, the selection is bottomless! But it's all about what's on top. No matter what you choose. Or if you go halfsies on a pizza pie, That's Amore - or Blaze pizza. Baked fresh in front of your eyes on a pizza stone, in a woodfire oven, it always tastes *chef's kiss* . My pesto sauce - mozarella, blue cheese, parmesan -everything but pickled peppers - soyrizo - spicy ranch drizzle masterpiece was all a blaze-in' glory. The flavors came together beautifully, a very unique taste that works no matter what you put on it! Service was quick, download the app to accumulate flames and get rewards. A fun spot! read more

A good option for a quick meal when shopping at the Outlet store in Carlsbad. Service is also quick. The only catch is that taste of their pizza is very average, nothing special. We tried to create own pizza following everything that came with the Meat Eater and we added extra meat like ham and bacon and also Ricotta. The sauce was a bit sour and it tasted like it came straight from the can. I think they need to make some improvements on their sauce, create something distinct. read more

I'm not a huge pizza fan, but today I'm like let's have a different appetizer and I grabbed a pie from Blaze. I've only been once for lunch, so I was intrigued at the process. A Jersey Mikes/Subway approach with John asking what I wanted and how.... Hmmmm. Ok, went red sauce (delicious) and then let myself slide down the line with choice of cheese, meats and veggies. Fun. At the end, I went crispy on the bottom and John gives a thumbs up. Maybe 10 minutes later I'm in the car with a affordable pie and cold Rosè waiting. Perfect and well run franchise! We arrived betwern 7-8pm and we waited for awhile as they cleaned the floor under where the food islands usually were. They wheeled them back in place and took their time to help us. The working staff was goofy and laughing, but not helpful. We finally managed to order two pizzas as the staff took their time putting on gloves. I should have left then. We got our pizzas, mine wad build your own, and The boyfriends was a meat lovers one. They tasted good. I ate half. He ate his own. The next day, we were both sick. Our stomachs rejected the meal. Unless you are living under a rock, you know by now that Blaze Pizza is a fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in customizable pizzas made with fresh ingredients and cooked fresh in a pizza oven. I've been to a few Blaze Pizzas, and this is one of my favorites. Staff can guide guide you through the process of choosing crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings. I was pleased to see a wide variety of fresh and high-quality ingredients available, including fresh vegetables, meats, and cheeses, as well as some unique and creative flavor combinations. I really enjoy the roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, and roasted garlic cloves. A dynamite combination! Once my pizza was assembled, it was quickly placed into the oven and cooked to perfection in just a few minutes. The crust was crispy and slightly charred, with a soft and chewy interior that had a great flavor and texture. The sauce was flavorful without being too heavy or overpowering, and the cheese was melted and gooey. The staff was accommodating and patient as I made my choizes, and they ensured that my pizza was cooked to my exact specifications. I prefer to order it 'extra crispy' so it has that extra crunch. The overall value for the price paid was also pretty good, with a reasonable price point for a high-quality and customizable pizza. Overall, I would definitely recommend Blaze Pizza to anyone looking for a quick and satisfying pizza meal that is also healthy and flavorful. read more

I ordered a pizza and when I received it the bottom and the crust was burnt. I showed it to the young man who was cooking the pizza's and told him it was burnt. He told me that is the way they make them. I then showed him the outside crust which was black and charred. He said, "I can cut off the edge for you". I tried to talk to the manager, but they told me she had left for the day. They were not going to redo the pizza and I was hungry so I ate some of it. It tasted like eating charcoal and was not good.
