The food here is great. Not a Michelin lvl restaurant but its quality is good. I always order from here and love posting my experiences everytime I order. TH enteric is super fast and efficient. Especially with online orders. The interior vibe is quite surprising. Very calm and subtle for a dine in experience.

Great value for tasty fish tacos and chicken taquitos. I placed the order in the kiosk and the staff called us when the food is ready. Ambiance is casual and comfortable as Rubio's Coastal Grill is a fast food chain.

First time trying this place while stopping in Carlsbad. The staff were super friendly. The place was clean. The food was fresh and delicious! I love that they have a salsa bar with different salsas and onions, cilantro, and lemons and limes. I liked their citrus rice and my daughter liked it too. I ordered their fiber bowl it was full of veggies, sweet potatoes, black beans, and avo. It was filling and flavorful. My husband ordered the double protein bowl he chose salmon and steak for his protein. He really liked his bowl! We ordered my daughter a kids chicken and cheese quesadilla. The kids meal are a good portion and come with a choice of rice, apple sauce. Or a churro for their side. The only thing is that they didn't having a baby changing table in the bathrooms. So knocking off a star for the inconvenience.

We visited this location this Saturday while in the neighborhood, and we were very happy! We were BIG Rubio's fans but haven't been to any locations lately since the food amount, quality and the price didn't all add up any more. After multiple deflated "rice" burritos, we said "no more", and said goodbye to Rubio's. Anyway, long story short, we had a great "Rubio's reunion" visit at this location. We heard that Rubio's was trying to get the customers back and doing some new things such as making their burritos larger again. To be honest, we were a bit afraid to be disappointed again. My hub was happy that his chicken especial burrito was well stuffed with less rice and more meat, and was as flavorful as before. I ordered grilled fish tacos plate. The tacos were delicious, with a new touch of the street corn sweetness. We both loved the food again! We were so happy that we could love Rubio's again. Now we know we have been missing going to Rubio's. The place was kept clean, and the salsa bar was clean and stocked up. We loved the ambiance of this location. Can't wait to go to other locations as well and try more items to see what's new!

Love Rubio's. Sad we don't have it in NorCal anymore, so had to make a stop here since we're in SoCal. Their battered fish tacos are delicious! Love that each taco comes with its own lime slice. We also enjoy the variety of salsa offered at the salsa bar. The service is fast and the tables are clean. I also appreciate the Tesla chargers right outside this specific location. Very convenient. This is our first time at this location and won't be the last when we're in the area.

We visited this location today at around 7:00PM. I called prior to place an order for pick up since I was driving, and was told that they couldn't take my order at the moment. Okay, that was the first no-no. I ordered several items including a plain chicken "taco" for my daughter, and this is what I got (see picture). I was shocked to even think I paid almost $6 for this "taco." I went back and showed it to the team leader, and was told that they are doing portion control and that is what I get because I didn't include the other ingredients. So now you know how much chicken / protein you are getting under all the "fluff" ingredients.

Wow I couldn't wait to come to San Diego to eat this right after we landed. I'm from San Francisco and all the Rubios closed down now son I'm super bummed about that, but when I knew it was 8 minutes from my hotel I ran. The food was absolutely delicious. Besides the chips they were not fresh kinda stale. But the location was super clean and the man that took our order was super sweet and kind. He was welcoming and fast and efficient. I'm really going to miss this place :(

(Apparently, you can get your parking ticket validated at the restaurant but during our visit, the gates were all up so no ticket, no pay.) You can sit inside the very large restaurant or at the bar or on the west-facing sunset terrace. Outside on the terrace, there are gorgeous views of the ocean. For those non-imbibers, they offer three nice mocktails. They also offer special cocktails and a full bar, of course. The special cocktails looked interesting enough but the alcoholic in me went with a regular martini and it was what I wanted/needed. The food was good. We ordered the sourdough "boule" ("ball" in French) and you get a very good-sized, hearty, delicious, and freshly-cooked sourdough loaf with an absolutely wonderful pesto sauce and truffle butter. This is a heavier appetizer than you might think so order accordingly. We also tried the Bluefin Tuna Poke Tostados and enjoyed it. It comes with three decent-sized tostados. Before we ordered, we asked our server if we could offer off the bar menu (because the website specifically says you can do so), and were told no. Interestingly, the table next to us, with a different server, ordered several items off the bar menu. The bar menu has some really good items on it but we were shot down. This was disappointing. Worth a visit, especially for the nice terrace.

I had a draft pilsner, and my husband had a key lime martini which was delicious! Neither too sweet or too tart. We were seated inside in a booth by a window with a gorgeous view of the Pacific. They also have a lovely patio, but we opted for inside due to the heat. Our server, Micheline, immediately made us feel comfortable with great recommendations. The starters came out faster than we expected and were excellent. The mushroom dip was not what we expected. It was thick & rich with a little heat. Very yummy! It was served with fried bread that made a great vehicle for sopping it up. We got one wedge salad (which they split for us). Very fresh, crisp veggies. Generous servings of cheese & bacon. My hubby who does not normally like ranch dressing enjoyed it as much as I did. Our entrees came out quickly as well. I got the sea bass. It was cooked perfectly. The sauce was rich & had a kick. My husband raved about his cioppino as some of the best he's had. Throughout the meal, Micheline was attentive without hovering, joked with us, and made us feel truly welcome. She raised an already outstanding meal to new heights. We didn't have room for dessert, so we'll have to visit again to try out the sweets. The entire experience from the bar to the final check was phenomenal. We will be back and will recommend it to all our friends.

It really feels like The Camp Store has started listening to…read moresome of the feedback people have been giving, and it's nice to see things slowly moving in the right direction. One thing they absolutely deserve praise for is the events. Like Jurassic Beach (which I saw on the Instagram page) was such a cool idea, and the light shows have been awesome too. Those kinds of events make camping here even more memorable, especially for families, and you can tell a lot of effort goes into putting them together. I've also noticed the store itself starting to feel more like a camp store again. Seeing more Carlsbad and beach themed merchandise instead of all the Sasquatch stuff is a nice change. It gives the place more of that cozy campground feel that so many people loved about the original store. That being said, it still feels like the store is very focused on attracting outside visitors rather than mainly serving the campers who are staying here. The music and events can also be a little overwhelming at times, especially when you're looking for a quieter campground experience. Overall, I'm happy to see the changes that have been made. The Camp Store is not exactly like the old one yet, but it is definitely heading in the right direction. Keep listening to the feedback instead of criticizing the reviews and continue to bring back that classic camp store feeling, because I really think this place can become something special again.

Ordered the Small Boston White Clam Chowder ($6.99), 3 Piece Fish & Chips with fries ($21.99), and the Sea Bass Plate ($25.99) which came with two sides - opted for Spanish rice and black beans. The clam chowder was just okay and nothing particularly special. The sea bass with garlic butter was a little bland and definitely needed some hot sauce or tartar sauce for extra flavor. The Spanish rice also tasted like it had been sitting out for a while and was a little dry. I did appreciate that the black beans came topped with some cheese and were served in a little tostada bowl - a nice touch. The fish and chips were hands down the best thing we ordered. The fish had a super crispy batter and the fries were crispy as well. Definitely the standout of the meal. Pelly's is located in a shared plaza with Ralphs, so there are plenty of parking spaces available. Both indoor and outdoor seating and it's a counter-service setup where you order at the counter and they'll bring the food out to your table.

TINLEAF FRESH KITCHEN @ CARLSBAD…read more Parking is very tight, and it does get extremely busy since this place is shared with a bunch of other businesses and restaurants. That said, it's honestly a good kind of busy, the complex is super lively, and I absolutely love that vibe. I'd definitely recommend trying to find parking as quickly as you can, but we were able to snag a spot within about five minutes. I like how easy the set up is, you walk in, look at the menu, order and pay right away, then sit wherever you'd like while the food is brought out to you. Overall, the food quality was pretty decent. My family and I ordered family-style and tried a variety of items, including their salads, a mushroom plate, and the salmon. Everything was really good, although the salmon was a bit overcooked. I especially loved the fries that came with the salad. One thing I really liked is that they offer a lot of different combinations, so you can do something like half a sandwich with a soup or salad, or mix and match depending on what you're craving. They also have a convenient water station in the back corner, which is super handy. There's also an outdoor patio area, and it's such a cute spot, perfect for lounging with a drink, sandwich, or appetizer. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a quick lunch with friends. The vibe feels much more lunch-focused than dinner, and the staff was super friendly. There were also a lot of to-go orders while we were there, so it's clear this place is very popular.
