I'm usually not a big pizza fan, but Blaze is not bad. There are a variety of choices, plus you can build your own pizza. Pizzas are freshly made. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Prices are reasonable, given the quality of food and location. (I'm sure rent is not cheap.) Millennials who work in tech in this up-comer area seem to love this place. There's meter parking on the street, but it's almost impossible to find a spot. And, don't even dream of street parking when Red Sox is in town since Fenway Park is just one street over. But, if you know your way, it's just a leisure 15 mins walk from the Fenway T (train) stop, or maybe 20 mins or so walk to St Mary T stop. If I fancy a bite of pizza, I'll try Blaze again. read more

This is the second time I've been here... First time I would have given it five stars, but that was at a Yelp Elite event where the service and product was on point. My second visit wasn't as good. Pros: -The create your own pizza bar is ingenious and nice. I enjoy being able to customize a pizza and have it cooked fresh within minutes. -The pizza bar has an incredible amount of topping choices, including many sauce and cheeses to add. There's something for everyone here, even gluten-free friends. -The staff are really friendly here, especially for a fast-food like place. -I haven't tried them myself, but they do have a few different flavored waters and tea which would appeal to non-soda drinkers like myself. -Price is right! Cons: -The workers must anticipate that you'll put endless toppings on your pizza because I find that they put each individual topping on sparingly. That's a problem if you just want 1 or 2 toppings because your pizza will look a bit barren. Be sure to ask for extra. -The spicy sauce was amazing the first time I went. The second time it was WAY too spicy! It also had a very chunky consistency the second time, with large chunks of jalapenos peeking out. The first time I came it wasn't chunky and it had a nice hint of heat, not an inferno. It worries me that they aren't consistent with food preparations. -I wish the atmosphere was a little nicer and more comfortable. If they had a more welcoming environment and better beer choices I'd would spend a lot more time and money here. They assured me that they had strict protocols, so I felt confident enough to order. The person that took my order was apparently in training, supervised by another one that had more experience. The first one kept resting her hands on the regular flour coated surface, other stuff members passed each other 2 things that were previously in contact with regular flour, over the supposedly GF pizza that was on the making. I pointed that out to the more experienced staff member, and she replied "If your condition is so severe, why did you come here?", while the person in training was dipping her hand in an ingredient that had gluten. When she saw that, they went inside and we went to another place, because I most definitely didn't feel safe eating there. Why do they specify on their website about their "supposedly safe" food for people with specific dietary needs and then ask you why you go there if you have one??? I had the worst experience ever! One of the crew member there is very rude! She is very unprofessional. I think she needs to be fired because of her service. If a person is that unhappy about their job, then they should not be working there. The girl was throwing around our food and got our order wrong and when asked for a refund, she was very rude in front of her manager. The manager and staff seems to be intimidated by her as well. I personally think that the branch should hire new members who takes their job seriously and who hold a professional position. When I arrived, after I was alerted that my order was ready for pick-up, my pizzas were nowhere to be found. I waited patiently to be assisted, while all employees ignored my presence, and no one would stop what they were doing to find out what happened to my order until I became hostile. Finally the General Manager was brought into the conversation, he refused to listen to me and rather than just remaking my order he insisted that my order was already picked-up. When I assured him I had not picked up my pizzas, he switched tactics and began telling me that I ordered delivery and I was mistaken placing my order with Caviar. The manager continued to insist this even when I showed him my confirmation receipt and emails on my phone. All of which showed clearly that I placed and paid for pick-up order that was supposed to be ready 30 minutes prior to my arrival in the restaurant. No matter what I said or showed him he refused to listen and continued to talk over me until I exploded and began demanding they just remake my order. This all culminated into a huge ordeal, screaming, other patrons were involved as well. I had to completely loose my temper just to resolve an issue that could have been handled quickly and quietly. The manager should learn to LISTEN, and go back to customer service school. Despite the fact that I live in a high-rise on Boylston, 4 minutes from this location, I will never order from Blaze Fenway ever again. I recommend trying a different location. read more

I have ordered from this pizza chain numerous times. The pizza has always been consistently good! There is a wide selection of toppings/ingredients to choose from. From crispy bacon bits to fresh basil.. you name it! In addition, there is an option to get the spicy tomato sauce as your base if you like it hot! The standard pizza there is New York style so the dough is very thin which makes it extra crunchy! I am a simple guy so I usually just go for the spinach, pepperoni, sausage, and bacon pizza. The workers are very nice! They are willing to remake your pizza for you if the finished product is not up to par with what you are expecting. With the assembly line in placed, the pizza always come out lightning fast and efficient. The pizza toppings are excellent, even impressive, in terms of choices available to the consumer. The ingredients are clearly delectable. Five stars there, and with the lemonade. The staff are friendly and kind, and the look is clearly modern and atypical of the archetypal pizzeria: these are folks who clearly take pride and joy from their work, and it obviously shows. I ordered online, so I can't exactly attest to the ordering process in-store. What irks me, however, is that I ordered a dessert, a S'mores Pie, to go with my pizza. When I arrived, I asked it to be placed in the oven to be warmed for a bit. I admit, I promptly forgot about it -- but so did the staff, just packaging my pizza and letting me leave. While not entirely the fault of the staff, and the popularity of Blaze does mitigate the error somewhat, I'm just miffed that I lost out on something I ordered (and it's not something that justifies a eighteen-dollar round-trip). This is a typical Blaze pizza. Surprisingly, there is an Oath pizza just down the block, which is sort of the same concept, but in my opinion has much better choices. I cannot give advice on this particular Oath as I have not been to it, so cannot recommend one over the other in this city. But.... here's the scoop on Blaze... We were there on a holiday weekend, Black Friday, eating a late dinner. It was pretty empty because of the late hour. No line, plenty of tables available. Blaze is an efficient quick service line, a la Chipotle. You go through a line and tell the person behind the counter what you want. Pick your size pizza and type of crust. Then salads are the first thing you'll see. My problem with Blaze in general, not just this one, is you can't get a regular salad. They are all sort of fancy salad choices. **Insiders tip- you can get a smaller salad than the two sizes listed. There may be a window sticker in front of salads with the smaller side salad listed, but it's not on the regular menu up above. So really there are 3 salad sizes and the smallest one is what you want if you want a pizza with side salad for one. If you're splitting a side salad between two people, get the medium sized. If the salad is your main meal, you may want large or medium depending on your size and your portion control desires. So after choosing your size and type of crust, deciding if you want salad, you go down the line and choose sauce, cheese and toppings. You'll see them put everything on. Then it will go to the oven. At the other end you wait for it to come out, they call your name and then you can finish it off with more toppings and drizzles. Here's where my problem lies with this particular Blaze location. Normally at Blaze, when you start at the beginning of the line and you choose your size and type of crust, they put your name on it. If everyone in your party is getting their own pizza, everyone has their own name on it. But for some reason at this Blaze, the guy behind the counter put all of our pizzas under the first person's name. So my husband was first, his name was on his pizza. My son went next. Instead of HIS name being on his pizza, they put my husband's name once again on the second pizza as well, and then I went last and again, my husbands name, not mine! So when the pizzas came out there was a mix up because all three pizzas had the same name. That was the stupidest thing I ever heard of and I have no idea why the person at the front of the line chose to do that. That stupidity brought this review down from 4 stars to 3 stars. Maybe it should even be 2 stars because basically my husband's dinner was ruined and we didn't want him to have to wait for a whole new pizza to be made while we ate. And if we would have had a whole new pizza made for him while we waited, our pizzas would have been cold. So here's what happened. The first pizza came out. My son was waiting there. Even though his pizza was second in, he thought the first out was his because the toppings looked very similar. Since all 3 pizzas had the same name on them, my son thought it was his. It's not a conveyor belt, it's an oven manned by a human, so first in is not necessarily first out depending on how they are cooking. He put unusual drizzles on that he likes, but my husband does not. But you guessed it...it was not his pizza. So basically my husband's pizza had stuff on it that he did not like at all. Then the second pizza came out, which was actually my son's. And then mine. But the damage was already done. It wasn't a simple mistake with toppings that would be considered normal and someone could have just eaten. It was unusual toppings that most people may not have wanted as a combo. This could have all been avoided if the stupid worker at the front of the line had done their job properly. We weren't familiar enough with the routine to catch the stupid mistake. If I ever venture into another Blaze, I will know better. So buyer beware. Pay attention to what the workers are doing. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it's not the worst. Pretty standard pizza. Don't like the salad choices. If I'm back on this street looking for pizza, I'll check out Oath. read more

This is a great spot if you like pizza. I ordered one of their "pre-set" pizzas (I forget which one, something with peso, chicken, and arugula on top) and a custom monstrosity with basically all of the meat, cheeses, and veggies they offered. As others have mentioned, they aren't huge but are still a great deal at $9 each. The staff were very friendly and it only took a few minutes to cook. I will definitely be back, but when I do I will avoid the temptation to load up on a bunch of different toppings and instead opt for double (or more) helpings of a few select ones. read more

Gster loves the trend of fast pizza, which seems to be everywhere these days. Fast pizza being it goes through the oven in 90 seconds. Blaze is similar to others, however, the production, service and flavor options seem to all be much better here than others. Everyone there was super friendly, helpful, and happy. The production was easy, working down an assembly line to create your pizza.The cheese/sauce/ratio was perfect, with crispy crust and lots of cheese. My only complaint would be that for the size of it, it is expensive if you are getting just a cheese, as there is not much price difference between cheese and one with toppings.
