I ordered my first Blaze Pizza when they opened in Alcoa, TN a couple of years ago. I was impressed. The toppings were plentiful, crust crisp, service (in-store) quick. I'm not a big pizza eater these days, but I'm stuck inside and thought I'd treat myself. TODAY, however, I didn't recognize the "disk" called a pizza I received - same type I ordered earlier, but this time a hot mess. The slice collapsed when picked up and needed to be folded to eat without tearing off the toppings. I'm not a fan of NY pizza, so this was disappointing and not what I call pizza "crust" - more like pizza mush. I ordered oregano and had to search for it - visually and taste-wise. My two toppings were about 1 or 2 per slice, instead of piled on as before. Door dash delivery, however, saved the day. The guy was fast, helpful and professional. As for Blaze, sorry. 3rd bad order in a row so I have to give y'all the 1 stars in hopes your management has yelp on their rotation. I arrive to pickup my online order, on the door thanking people for being patient because you were under staffed, no problem there. The place is dead and there are 6 employees standing around. My food is not in the pickup area yet, still no problem as I can utilize this time to go fill up my gas tank. As I return my food is still not in the pickup area. The young man running the peel has it on the glass in front of his station, marked with the ready receipt for maybe 10 minutes before I initially walked in your location. Still no problem, I needed gas anyway. The problem leading to the one star, for me it all boils down to the quality of the product I am purchasing. This time I get a cheese bread that is to a crisp dry with next no cheese on it and the wrong sauces. In my previous order, I pay for a 14 inch, I get an 11 inch. I politely show the young man running peel the ticket where it says "LARGE" Chest puffy kid who always seems to be standing around cuts in and says "That IS a large". Interesting. My time is too valuable to argue and/or wait for the order to be corrected anyway, I was simply pointing out to the person actually placing my order in the oven that if he read the ticket my order would not be wrong. The chippy kid was told "you may want to watch your tone young man" and clammed up quick as the image of possibly getting dragged out of the building by his 8th grade mustache and kindly told "No man with integrity chooses Morgan Wallen as a role model" flashed before his eyes as I concluded my conversation with the young man running peel. I'm giving you my business, don't give me botched orders with some punk trying to gaslight customers from the gate. I get it; it's easier to be lazy and unaccountable than actually earn a wage. Easy gives more time to dissect the ever so deep codex sewn by the lyrical genius of a generation that is Morgan Wallen. I am not here to tell other people how to live their lives. But if you're going to go out of your way to post a long form notice on your door about how you are understaffed, thanks for your patience, etc etc - perhaps management can ask the staff that is there on the clock to read the tickets that have a half dozen words on them. read more

I would highly recommend this pizza establishment. We always get the build your own pizza. You can have anything you want on it for aloe price. They have two types of crusts, regular or thick. Spicy marinara, regular or white sauce. Lots of cheeses to choose from such as goat cheese, fresh mozzarella, blue cheese, mozzarella and feta cheese. Lots of toppings. If you want more then what they put on the pizza just ask them if they could put a little more of that topping on it, their really nice about it. Make sure you tip them at the cashier as you check out, they appreciate it. Once your pizza is made to your liking they put it in a fire roasted oven. Yumm. They call out your name when it's done. I like being able to see my food being prepared and being able to see clearly and choose what ingredients are being used. Great atmosphere. We did curbside pickup on this, our first visit here. So, I don't have the knowledge to give a full five star rating (does it have alcohol? Is service good? Other questions I can't answer. First- the pizza...Very pleasantly surprised, especially with the price/quality ratio. $9 for a good-sized pizza that you can load with all the ingredients you care for! We prefer white sauce/pesto sauce over traditional red and we created two wonderful pizzas with lots of good toppings. I did think the dough was a little soft for our tastes. I noticed they had several different crusts (that all had an upcharge) but maybe some of them would be worth exploring. Both of us were very satisfied; both ate a lot and we still had a good other meal's amount of leftovers. The service for curbside was great. Designated parking, quick reply, and a server who was masked (by the way, the people who give bad ratings for having to wear masks....boo). I'm so freaking pumped Maryville got a Blaze! Blaze is amazing. I love the concept of the personalized pizza experience. They have several suggested pizzas or you can BYO (build your own) which is what I do. They have a few different crusts to choose from, several sauces and a plethora of cheeses meats and fresh veggies. You can pile it up however you want with as many toppings as you please for one price. Each pizza is individually sized but if you add salads, garlic knots or desserts you can easily split one with someone else but it's so delicious you'll want one all to your own! Once you've built your pizza they pop it in the oven and in just a few minutes you have your own delicious pizza. My only complaint is that they skimp on the sauce and cheeses if you don't ask for extra. I also highly recommend the smores cookie that they toast up and the blood orange lemonade! read more

This was our first visit and we visited due to the Bogo pizza coupon. I always wanted to try the place out, parking lot is always full. The easiest way to say it is, this place is being ran by mostly disrespectful teenagers. Not all are disrespectful, but majority are. If McDonalds opened a pizza joint, this would be it. I was told there was no extra cheese allowed when she only put a scant amount of cheese on the pizza that barely covered the sauce, with that being said the toppings were falling off every where once I received the pizza due to lack of cheese. I was asked about topping for my salad and the pizza by two different teenagers at the same time which is confusing and I ended up with things on my salad that I did want on it. I asked for caesar dressing, she gave me ranch as well. When the pizzas came out they were still cold on the toppings, toppings didnt seem like they were done at all. The drink station was nasty. There were cup lids everywhere and no clean one stocked up. We has to ask them to refill a parm bottle cause they had three out and all were empty. One kid rolled his eyes at us for asking. We tried this place for the first time last night. We were heading to the airport and had some time. So glad we did. I got the meat eater and added a bunch of other items. I really don't even k is everything that was on it as I told the guy fixing it to just add stuff. My daughter had the pepperoni pizza and that's it nothing else's on it. The service was quick and friendly. The pizza came out faster the. We thought it would and was brought right to the table. I love Blaze and the two in Knoxville have been regular eating spots ever since they opened - the concept is amazing! We were super excited they were coming to Maryville/Alcoa and eagerly awaited the opening. Well I've been twice and both times the employees were incredibly skimpy with ingredients, particularly the cheese. The first pizza I got here was over cooked and dry and not cheesy at all despite asking for extra shredded mozzarella, ovalini, and ricotta (I get a "build your own and add garlic and basil so I'm not going overboard with toppings lol). On the second visit (ordering the same pizza) we said something and explained what the order was, and got an incredibly snotty answer from the lady (complete with eye rolling) that cheese was "the most expensive topping and we've been instructed to ration it" and when we mentioned that we didn't have that issue at either of the two locations in Knoxville, we were told "that's probably why they're not doing very well." Well: 1. The locations in Knoxville are consistently busier than the Alcoa location. 2. What an unprofessional comment to make about a sister store. Definitely not interested in coming back at all until they get this mess straightened up. read more

His hat had a nickname on it that said Zo. I don't know if he was a manager but he was dressed different than everyone else. This was a huge surprise to me to see a company so trendy that they allow something a dirty as a cellphone to be incorporated with food. Upon my observation: we always go out to eat for date night on Thursday night. We tried somewhere we hadn't been in a while tonight . Upon entry we were asked to put a mask on just while we went through the line. Fine. The mask they provided broke . They then asked us to sit and they would take our order. Ok great. She then hands us our cups and says you can go get your drink yourselves. I went to get silverware and napkins and I find that part of their silverware is not individually wrapped. How is this preventing the spread? Also they were eating and drinking while taking orders. Their masks weren't covering their noses either. You want to put a policy in place to prevent the spread of disease fine. But please have your ducks in a row .I wish I could post the picture of the knives I took on here as well. read more

Last time I went the chicken was frozen, so the millennial had no clue what to do other than "we don't have chicken". I took a different meat and went on. My pizza was under cooked and the $50 I wasted there made me wish I'd just ate leftovers at home. Gave them another try tonight. My two favorite things are the spicy red sauce and roasted garlic.
