There's street parking, but it's mostly accessible by public transportation. The ambiance inside is similar to other blank streets, good for pickup or a quick stop. I wouldn't recommend coming here with more than 2 people as there's limited seating, but it is cute inside for pictures. We waited in line and it took a bit for our drinks to come out, but we weren't in a rush so it felt serene. We ordered the Pistachio Latte, Vanilla Latte, and Blondie in the small (12oz). It came out in cute cups with fun latte art on top, which was conducive for Instagram pictures. The coffee blend felt warm and comforting, not too bitter which I liked. The pistachio latte had a nice amount of pistachio flavor which complemented the drink well, but didn't overpower the coffee. Had to wait in a line going out the door to order! I did not mind at all as the matcha selection available was very exciting. They even had two limited edition spring; cherry glaze and lemon. I had to go with the cherry. The line moved quickly and it did not take long for our drinks to be ready. The cafe did have some seating but not enough to accommodate the amount of people in store. We took ours to god. I enjoyed the florals on display and the overall look of the shop. The cashier who helped us was so sweet and happy to answer the questions I had about the seasonal flavors. I did not feel rushed to move along despite there being a line. My drink was incredible! Pretty to look at and flavorful. My husband was unhappy with his cold brew and felt it was watered down. Have been wanting to try Blank Street coffee for a bit since seeing it on NYC friends' instagrams. Being from SoCal, I was patiently waiting to try this coffee. As soon as I saw the sign, I had to go in. Although a small spot, they make great use of the space and they're able to fit a decent line inside. The staff is very friendly and was able to give recommendations. I ended up getting the espresso martini latte (there's no alcohol). Ooowwee it was a TREAT!! The flavor was so delicious and the hazelnut addition was perfect. It's a good thing. I don't live near a Blank Street because I would go too often. read more

Blank street coffee was recommended in some travel vlogs and I saw many people holding matcha lattes from there so I thought to give it a try! The cafe itself was a small space where you mainly just order and pick up your drink, not much space to hang around. It was very crowded and took at least 15 minutes to order. There was a friendly worker at the front, she was sweet and gave me suggestions. I ultimately chose the seasonal banana bread matcha and their seasonal gingersnap latte. The banana bread matcha latte was so awful, the matcha flavor was lacking and the banana bread flavor was also faint. The drink mostly tasted like oat milk. I'm surprised so many people get the matcha here! I'm wondering if its because there aren't any good options in the area. Great addition to the Boston Café scene! Personal favorite is their Strawberry Shortcake Matcha :) It has a refreshing balance between the creaminess of the matcha + milk and freshness of the strawberries. The shortcake part tastes as if they added some clear vanilla extract to get that cake flavor. Very yummy. Plain Croissant was okay. Not the flakiest croissant you will ever try, but still decent. Also the shop is small so it gets cramped very easily. The line is usually long but the staff is efficient so the wait isn't too bad. read more

I tried the Strawberry Shortcake Matcha after seeing it all over TikTok. The aesthetic is great, but the taste didn't live up to the hype. The line wasn't super long when we got there but we ended up waiting about 1 hour in total just to order and another 10 for the actual coffee itself. Though the staff was super kind, the coffee itself wasn't amazing. I got a small hot gingersnap latte and the flavor was a bit hard to nail down. This was my first experience at a Blank Street Coffee and I can't say that it made me want to go back if given the chance. They've done it again! This is my go-to Blank Street, being in such a great location right by the library! The workers here are super fast, helpful, and kind, making the their drinks deliciously every time! As for the matcha itself, I absolutely life for their unique seasonal flavors!! The pistachio is up there with some of the greats for sure, but I have to say the classic blueberry and their amazing banana bread matchas are still on top for me. We went later in the afternoon this time, and it was the first time this spot wasn't super busy, and we got a really nice seat up on the balcony! I ordered cold brew with whole milk. I didn't realize I needed to specify that we are not at a Dunkin Donuts and thus drowning the coffee in a dairy product is not ideal. I essentially paid for coffee flavored milk. Also, for whatever reason their system didn't register my name when I paid with my Visa CC. So the name assigned to the drink consisted of random numbers and letters. Ok no biggie - but they made no effort to figure out who it actually belonged to. The staff membered giggled when they realized and just placed it on the counter. When I hadn't heard my name, I finally inquired if the bot name was actually me. They didn't see another drink in the queue with my name so they said yes. So possibly Blank street product is great. I don't know. So could simply be that their staff would benefit from a little more training. It also wasn't crazy busy. I'm really sad to write a mediocre review for a place I really do enjoy. The Brookline location truly lived up to the hype, so I stopped by the Back Bay location to treat myself whilst recovering from stomach surgery. The location is way too small -- there's barely any room inside to wait for your drinks and when it gets crowded they just have people congregate outside. A bit disorganized there. I do really love the variety of matcha they offer and ordered the strawberry shortcake. Strawberry is my favorite flavor of matcha, so I was really excited. It came out really quick despite there being a line out the door when I first got there, which I really appreciated. Very kind staff too. However, my matcha had little to no strawberry flavor and tasted very sweet, I didn't even taste the matcha itself. It watered down very quickly too. I wasn't all that impressed for $6. I would rate Blank Street Coffee as a 7/10 overall. I had the iced Daydream latte. I think it's actually the first latte I've had with cinnamon that wasn't completely overpowered. It reminded me of a pillsbury cinnamon roll! It was actually pretty good. I also ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The sandwiches are all premade and warmed up (similar to Starbucks) and was a bit stiff when I ate it. Definitely not comparable to a freshly made one, but when it's made ahead - you can't expect freshness. The ambiance was really cute and they had an adorable merch selection!
