    taco salad with braised beef

Wasnt sure if this was a nightclub or resturant. I get that they want fun but blaring music sucks when your trying to figure what eat. we cane for what we thought were half price tacos as confirmed by calling. we have the taco salad.. 2 beef 2 fish 1 chk and 1 shrimp. Turns out tacos are $3.50 each. I would say the meat is on drier side.. no salsas just very plain cabbage.. salt. chopped jalapeños. Taco salad was equally unimpressive. baked torilla with lettuce meat of choice... braised beef was dry and unflavorful. Their tipping starts at 18% even if its not a group. I wouldnt return even if tacos are $3. maybe try leopolds on tues.

We saw this business months before we actually went there! We love Mexican food and one day we decided to go there! It was a pretty warm day and patio was open but we decided to go inside! The interior Devine was pretty good! The place was pretty noisy! There were multiple celebrations going on there! From birthday party to business gathering! The staff was pretty nice and helpful! Washrooms were nice, clean and well maintained! The food was pretty good and I'll probably go back there again!

A taco and cocktail gem! Okay right off the hop I have to compliment the hostess and the bartender! The place was bumping when we arrived I was worried we'd be waiting a long while! (Saturday night figures it's busy) Which the hostess warned us that it might be a bit of a wait but she said she would check at the bar if there was room for us. She came back and warmly lead us to a couple seats that had just cleared up at the bar. It was nice to see she did the exact same thing for the people before us as well. The drinks sounded delightful and at first we weren't going to even get one but then we read a couple spicy margarita options and had the bartender give us their recommendation. As soon as we said spicy he was quick to recommend the chili coconut margarita ($12) - the chili citrus has that lingering spice that we absolutely love! And the Flavor in this drink is unique and a full flavor sensational! A full 10 out of 10 on this one drink for us! Onto the food! And of course we had to order tacos! We got the most expensive option on the menu, cause you're eating out right! Go big or go home! The Grilled Fish tacos ($26) red snapper, garlic butter, red cabbage, sautéed onion, served fajita style with lime cilantro rice, refritos and jalapenos ranch dressing. I loved that you could make it yourself and found the meal super filling. I think they could have put in one more tortilla to make it a nice even 6, easier to split as two people. But there was plenty of toppings once all the tortillas were eaten. For dessert we ordered the Churro Chips ($5) flash fried tortilla chips tossed in cinnamon sugar with sides of cream cheese icing and caramel sauce for dipping. These sweet little bites were sensational and hit that sweet spot for us for sure. I enjoyed the decor and the bar seating was tasteful and still roomy. They also have a patio setup and it connects in a really cool way to the bar and they can open it up on nice days for fresh air and more bar seating which is really cool. Will definitely be back here again!

Had a couple of chicken tacos and a fish taco. My favourite was the fish. The service was great. Would possibly stop again if at south common.

Went back. And omg. Amazing. Tijuana Tots Chipotle Chicken Salad Enchilada And seasonal drinks I can't remember the name of. Manager (I think) came over and introduced drinks. Server was super chill and awesome. We had a great time.

Steak Fajitas, which lacked any flavour including salt. Needed more streak to make more than 1.

The service was quick, the ambiance was Mexican inspired. The food lacked inspiration, flavour and soul. Do not go unless you just want a fast season-less food. I feel generous giving it two stars as the food pictured below is what we left behind and we didn't even feel like we could give it away without offending someone.

We've been to the Calgary location before and recently tried the Edmonton location. The restaurant wasn't very busy considering it was a Saturday. The restaurant had both an outside patio and a covered patio which was great. They start you off with free chips and salsa which is always an enjoyable bonus! Tacos were tasty and tater tots were a nice addition as a side.

Decided to try this place and well'll it was ok. Service I wanna say it was better somewhere else tbh. It took a little bit to get refill for my drinks. The food was good but I've had it somewhere better. The food is a bit more canadianece than more, is missing the love and spiciness from the Mexican food and the tacos were pretty bland, the shrimp tacos were the only ones that I though were good without a sauce or anything. The restaurant is very nice and the ambiance is cute and traditional. I really do like this place and the deals but I wouldn't say is my favorite place for Mexican food unless I wanna have a good deal.

Ambiance felt casual enough, but the environment was bright and warm. And our server was a delight, she was very attentive and genuinely very accommodating. Food: - Whipped Ricotta: 10/10 Beautiful, a must get. My absolute favorite dish of the night and the reason I'm even writing this review - it was THAT good. The ricotta is smooth, sweet, and garlicky. We ordered the tomato dipping sauce on the side to add to it, and that added a layer of acidity that was reminiscent of a fancy pizza in itself - Green beans: 6/10 Nothing special, bacon was good. Sauce was fine. Really just a solid veggie dish if you're looking for something green to eat - Karaage: 6.5/10 Not really actual karaage, texture was stringier than a juicy piece of chicken, but it's definitely covered in togarashi (spice) for an added kick. The dill sauce was great though - flavored really well. And adding the tomato dipping sauce to the chicken was actually a next level elevation - Vegetarian pizza: 7.5/10 Those mushrooms were so flavorful in every possible dish and this was no exception. Crust was light and crispy. All the vegetables were seasoned so well. - Gnocchi Bianca: 9.5/10 Beautiful. Delicious. Gnocchi was perfectly cooked with a soft, pillowy texture. Sauce was creamy and not too salty even with the smoked bacon. - Pumpkin cheesecake: 8/10 Texture wasn't too heavy. Flavor wasn't overbearing. Whipped cream was thicker than expected - but its flavor was decadent without being too much. Great taste. Wonderful experience overall. Highly recommend.

Slap on your sparkly dress and a pair of heels (or wear whatever the heck you want) and make your way to Downtown's pink palace! You'll remember this location as the former home of Fu's Repair Shop and Prairie Fish & Chips before that. The Edmonton Food Faves We Crave 2024 list named Dolly's as Favourite Patio and the pictures that I've seen of the back terrace look completely adorable, complete with colourful lanterns. Unfortunately, my visit was in October and it wasn't quite patio weather anymore. I turned up on a Friday evening with one of my best girlfriends in tow and we were ready for the biggest Barbiecore night of our lives! Imagine our surprise when we discovered that Dolly's had been transformed into the "Black Lagoon" for the month of October in the spirit of Halloween. (I probably should have looked into this in advance but I was unaware!) I was expecting Cyndi Lauper and Aqua but instead I got Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. The whole restaurant was draped in the most spider webs that I've ever seen. There were giant spiders hanging from the ceiling and spooky skeletons in every corner. It was a vibe, that's for sure!! But certainly not the one that I had been anticipating. Bits of pink paint and sparkly chandeliers peeked through in some areas and the neon "Dolly's" sign on the wall allowed me to imagine what the Barbie dreamhouse-esque space normally looks like just a little bit. Otherwise, Dolly's was fully transformed into the moody Black Lagoon. I should've worn fishnets instead of glitter. The servers were all very friendly and we were quickly seated at a comfortable table along the hot pink velour banquette. Dolly's invites you to sip, snack, and stay in their minor-free glamorous escape. The house cocktails and mocktails are a major part of the experience (it is a cocktail bar after all) and I was excited to get a cute pink beverage into my hand! There was also a menu of Black Lagoon-themed cocktails that were all served in fun tiki-style vessels. This menu included themed foods as well. I personally had my eye on the Pink Palace Royale cocktail which I saw on the menu online. Made with a special collab gin with Strathcona Spirits and Licor 43 (one of my favourite liqueurs), this sounded like everything that I wanted in a cocktail and more! Other drinks had names like Dolly's Dreamhouse, Bubbilicious, and the house shot was called the Bend & Snap - exactly the sort of drinks that I had come for! However, I was sorely disappointed when the server told me that the drink I wanted was no longer on the menu. It seemed that I could only order a Halloween beverage. I fumbled to find anything that Elle Woods would approve of and settled on a mocktail called Pretty in Pink (Strawberry, cream of coconut, lime, soda, mint - $9.00) and the server suggested that the bar could add vanilla vodka to turn it into a proper cocktail. I agreed. Honestly, I was just relieved to get something pink onto the table! I enjoyed this icy-fresh cocktail a lot and it delivered most of what I had been hoping for. The sweetness of the strawberry and coconut was really fun! The lime and mint added a mojito flair. A very cute and well-composed beverage but I was sad that most of the girly drinks didn't seem to be available. When it comes to eats at Dolly's the food is what you would expect to see at a party, with the idea of sharing at the heart. I loved the idea of Dolly's Funhouse (which is an epic plate of nachos), and dishes like wings, tacos, and mac & cheese. However, the dish to order at Dolly's has gotta be the Girl Dinner (Truffle tots, chickie tendies, aji verde, aji rocoto, pineapple sweet & sour, Dolly's salad - $50.00 for two). It's a must-share so grab your girlies and prepare to chow down! They had me at tots. The Girl Dinner platter arrived looking extremely appetizing and somehow exactly what I wanted to be eating in a place that looked like this. The portion was exactly right for two people and I loved the pretty floral printed plates that we were given to dish our tots and tendies onto. As previously mentioned, I enjoy a tot. (I have a suspicion that Napoleon Dynamite really imprinted on me.) But truffle tots? Now that's just a home run! Topped with sea salt, truffle oil, and parmesan cheese, these golden potato nuggets were fried to perfection with a crispy outside and a soft and fluffy inside. I could have eaten them all. They were awesome to dunk into each of the sauces and when the rest of the food was gone we were still popping tots into our mouths. We couldn't even finish them all because the portion was so generous! The star of the meal were the chickie tendies; two giant chicken tenders, of which we each got our own. I loved this chicken! The batter was really flavourful and unique, and oh so crispy-crunchy. The chicken within was very tender and juicy, proving that an elevated chicke
