Check in for the night and had some awesome cocktails and food! Shout out to the bartender Andrew who made a killer old fashion! Wings, 1/2nachos and salad was all tasty! Great service!

Husband and I ate here on a Saturday night after spending the day at the spa. Even though it was busy, we never felt rushed and spent several hours drinking and playing cards. For dinner we had: Blacktail Nacho Board (half order) House Salad (me) Blacktail Burger (husband) All of it was delicious! For drinks (and I won't share the quantity of each.. ha! we had a GOOD night): Wild Life Spritz - meh Blackberry Smash - yummy Ice & something (currently not on online menu) - good Magenta Passion - oh myyyyyy Our waiter forgot about our mains and then got my wrong, but was a super nice guy and quickly fixed things. AND, we weren't in a rush so no harm on our side of it. Price is what you expect for a bar in a resort. Our bill was high. But worth it.

Great drinks! A bunch of variety drink options from cocktails to beer to wine. There really is something for everyone. They have great comfortable seating and their drinks are amazing. Really great cocktail list! I highly recommend the Ice and Spice!!! This bar is right by the lobby at the Kananaskis Lodge and fireplaces are a part of this great vibe.

This is the upscale replacement for my beloved Bighorn Lounge, in which I've spent countless hours celebrating a good ski day or bringing in the new year with friends and family. Blacktail is an open seating lounge and restaurant located in the lobby of the newly renovated, newly branded Marriott Mountain Lodge, formally the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis. Marriott have completely redone all the eating establishments, the rooms, and are in the middle of upgrading the spa and pool facilities. The food at Blacktail can be excellent. Most of my meals were really good and they have wonderful local beers on tap, including one made exclusively for Blacktail. I wasn't overly impressed with the Cracked Fries, but I noticed they look much better in the yelp picture under another review. On one of my several visits during the Easter Weekend, I had the most beautiful salad in the world, the Mountain Green (see photo). It tasted as good as it looks. Every meal comes with an endless supply of kettle chips that are so good I think I could live on just those and beer! Service is excellent, especially Ally if you're lucky enough to get in her section. There are times when it looks like she's covering the whole bar so that may not be hard. All in all, a great spot and a worthy replacement for the Bighorn. Potentially a five with a bit more attention to food consistency.

Lovely bar to chill at as we waited for the Nordic Spa. The bartenders were all very friendly and attentive, and the drinks were perfection. Great intimate and relaxing vibes.

Had a nice ambience with plenty of seating inside and outside. However we found it was a little chilly inside the restaurant, especially near the windows where we were seated. The staff was friendly, but we found that service was a little slow even though it was not busy at the time of our visit. We appreciated the variety of breakfast items. It was definitely catered to international visitors. However, the food itself tasted just average. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato, pancakes, French toast, and the omurice. The eggs Benedict came out cold, the omurice needed some additional ingredients for flavoring, and the pancakes and French toast came out dry. They charged us extra for a little tablespoon of extra maple syrup. The only tasty item was the smashed potatoes. Overall, would not recommend this place. It didn't seem like the price matched the quality of the food or the service.

Bankhead Restaurant and…read moreLounge offers a versatile environment with its fusion cuisine, whether it be a romantic or family dinner. It's a great spot if you're looking for a mix of international and Western flavors. Reservations can be made directly from their homepage via TouchBistro. There are about 10 spots available in the private parking lot. While it was too cold to enjoy the patio during our visit, outdoor dining is available in warmer weather, and the mountain views from the restaurant are stunning. FOOD: 1. Firecracker Calamari (3/5) - Crispy calamari with sautéed peppers, soy, and sesame. Unfortunately, this appetizer had more side ingredients than actual calamari. It's shareable between 3-4 people, but I wouldn't order it again. 2. Canmore Pasta Bison Ravioli (3/5) - Served with a creamy au jus sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and parmesan. I didn't try this one personally, but those who did said it was just "OK." It comes with one slice of garlic toast. 3. Chicken Nirvana (4/5) - A coconut-based gravy with ginger, green chili, curry leaves, basmati rice, and Kerala parotta. The curry was a bit watery for my taste, and I wished the spices were more pronounced. That said, the parotta was nicely crisp -- always a win. 4. Alberta Beef Short Ribs (3/5) - Served with vegetables and gravy. I had a few bites and liked it, but something felt like it was missing -- I couldn't quite put my finger on what. 5. Atlantic Salmon (5/5) - Paired with a tarragon leek lemon emulsion and vegetables. I rarely order salmon at non-Japanese restaurants, but this was an exception. The salmon was perfectly cooked -- not dry at all -- and the emulsion brought everything together beautifully. The service was OK. The server was pleasant, and our drinks never touched the bottom. However, we had an early dinner time, and they were out of two items on the menu. Would I come back? Maybe. I'll explore other places before coming back.

The ambiance was romantic and comforting and all of the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. I mentioned that I had a sesame allergy and they helped me to pick out dishes that have no sesame and even took extra time to point out lactose friendly entrees. The dishes we decided to order and share were the crab toast, the maple bbq rainbow trout and the banana pie (which I took lactaid for). My goodness, just when I thought one dish was great each one blew me away with how delicious they were! Out of the three however my absolute favorite was the maple bbq rainbow trout. The fish was so incredibly buttery soft I could barely pick it up with my fork, and just the slightest tap made it crumble. It was atop this creamy mashed potato with a maple gravy and greens which melt in my mouth. I cannot recommend Bridgette bar more highly! It was one of the best highlights of my trip to Banff, Canada!

It took us a while to be seated although there was a lot of room. The manager seemed overwhelmed and was flying around. When I asked him what he liked on the menu he answered eggs, which is fun because eggs weren't even on the menu. Food came out slowly and servers were fine i just think they could have used a few more. my husband had a burger with fries and i had the falafel wrap with Caesar salad. Hubby was appreciative of the burger and said that it was "fine". My falafel wrap was excellent. The falafel itself were a little mushy on the inside but flavourful. The sauces and the home made pickles made an extrodinary combo. Totally reccomend this dish. The Caesar salad was lightly dressed, fresh and crunchy. A fantastic lunch. Come here for the view. However our meal was not one of the first served as some of our food was missed delivered to another table. I didn't feel that the bread and butter was outstanding for the price as it was over toasted. We did like our main course choices as all of us cleaned our plates. The view was outstanding as we were able to see both mountain and river. Expect the cost to be higher because of the location and the view versus just the food itself. Well we enjoyed our meal we did find that we enjoyed other places that cost a little less more while on our trip. Also our service was not bad but our server did enjoy chatting with other tables which might have led to some of the delay of our food being bright as we were in the restaurant for approximately 90 minutes total time from sit down to paying our bill.
