Last month I went into Blackstone really frustrated with not having been able to previously get "usable" computer/reader glasses elsewhere, but Thomas the optician seemed to know exactly what I needed down to the type of material that should be used to produce the progressive lenses for optimal results. I picked up the glasses a couple of weeks ago and I could not possibly be more pleased with them -- they are PERFECT -- seriously, PERFECT. I cannot recommend Blackstone Optometry highly enough and as soon as my insurance resets in January I will be going back for new prescription sunglasses. read more

I have been going to Blackstone Optometry for several years now. Yearly check ups and contact lenses, etc. I have seen Simon in the past. All has been well. Most recently I saw Deborah for a stye and eye irritation. I have been plagued with styes since 2020 and quite honestly, "over it". Unfortunately, my GP didn't seem to assert herself and delve into why this kept happening. Well, to my delight, I do indeed have issues with my eye. Blepharitis and MGD. How vindicated I felt, as my GP wasn't very interested in figuring it out. Disheartening to say the least. I'm on the road to recovery though. Meds and all! I hope to finally put this all behind me! Truly, a gem of an optometry office. I have special glasses that I wear for my light sensitivity, and they recently broke. So I brought them in offering to pay for the screws to be fixed. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. And they have such an adorable little space. And they fixed my glasses free of charge since it was such a small fix. Martin and Ailene (I hope I spelled that correct), we're so friendly and welcoming. I'm so bummed. I have Kaiser insurance now. If you don't have Kaiser insurance, I would 100% recommend this optometry office ! read more

If there were more stars I would truly have selected them. Blackstone Optometry is , hands down, the best optometrist in Los Angeles. They're SO professional and classy!!! Here is my awesome story. I had purchased a pair of Gucci frames and then went to have my eyes checked at Blcakstone. My prescription is always Progressive and expensive and with transitions it adds up. So we sent off my frames to get the prescription filled. I was told a week to 2 weeks and they would be ready. When they arrived I got a call from Brandon saying he had checked the prescription and it was not good enough so they had to send back to be redone correctly. Thats a pain, but I loved the care and desire to get it perfect. Then about a week and a half later he called and said unfortunately the lens makers lost my Gucci frames. I was in shock, but he was so nice and understanding it helped me stay calm. He said I could come in and pick out anything they had and they would get them filled for me. They have a fantastic selection of frames and some seriously high end frames as well.. He also said if they found my frames later I could have both pairs. So I went in and immediately fell in love with a pair of Tom Ford frames. I actually really loved them more than the Gucci ones. After a couple weeks I checked in and was told by someone there that my original frames arrived. I was glad but really had my mind set on the Fords. To make this story shorter- Brandon fought the lens company for me and made sure I would get the Tom Ford glasses even though my glasses did finally end up arriving before the Fords. It was important to him that I was left happy after the big delays and inconvenience . Those frames were $600 without prescription . In these times when everyone is out for themselves and businesses don't care about the individual, to have someone like Brandon , in my corner and looking out for me felt amazing. Everyone there was so supportive and kind, but Brandon really saved the day. I am so happy with my glasses and my prescription is absolutely perfect. I forgot to mention- the eye tests etc. were state of the art and the lady who was my optician was so fantastic. It took about 15 minutes. If you're looking for a classy optometrist here in LA, I highly suggest Blackstone Optometry . They actually care about you and make sure you are happy and taken care of. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else from now on. I never write reviews, but this experience deserves to be told and Brandon and Blackstone Optometry deserve my time in writing this. read more

Love this place! I walked in, no appointment. I had two pairs of prescription glasses frames that needed to be repaired. One of which was a pair of very rare, gold, aviator, classic, old-school Ray Ban's. Dan repaired both my glasses frames and were ready for pick up the next business day! I am extremely happy that I found Blackstone Optometry! They're absolutely terrific! My son is diabetic and autistic and I was concerned that he would have a hard time with it all. This was his first eye doctor appointment. From the moment we entered, the staff was warm and very friendly. The office is comfortable. The Optometrist (Pamella Chang) and Dan were the best of the best! They are so great with children! My son was at ease and actually enjoyed the entire visit, he said he had fun. I had an appointment with Dr. Pamella Chang at Blackstone Optometry today. I don't normally write reviews but given how great she is, i just had to. She was incredibly informative, pleasant and helpful. Hands down the absolute best optometrist I have experienced, and i have been to many. If you live in the area or even if you don't, her practice is absolutely worth a try. As an added benefit, the staff is very pleasant and helpful as well - and not pushy.
