Espresso martini flight: birthday cake, Carmelo, butter pecan
Alan C.

Stopped by Blackstone Herbs and Martini Bar for a casual lunch after seeing a lot of solid reviews. Overall it was a mixed experience for us. First thing to note, the service was pretty slow, which seems to line up with what others have said. We had to wave down our wait staff couple times and at points it felt like they just MIA. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. The ambience was a highlight. Very quaint and cozy with lots of eclectic decor on the walls that actually gives you something fun to look at. The vibe felt welcoming and relaxed, kinda like a neighborhood coffee shop mixed with a casual restaurant, which we liked, haha! Pricing caught me a bit off guard. It felt on the higher side, especially for flight style portions. That said, the espresso martini flight was pretty good. The caramel and butter pecan were the standouts. The birthday cake martini was a miss though. It did not taste like birthday cake, more like a drink with a lot of sprinkles mixed in and the color started blending in towards the end. Food wise, the deviled eggs were solid. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and the mayo mustard mix gave it a nice tang. The Cajun shrimp had a light bite and was enjoyable. The bacon was honestly my favorite, great smoky flavor and cooked well. For the burger sliders, we tried the buffalo chicken, fried chicken, and meatball. The fried chicken was easily the best. Tender, crunchy, and full of flavor. The meatball was a close second and reminded me of a classic meatball sub. The buffalo chicken was the weakest of the three. The buffalo sauce was pretty mild and the chicken was not as juicy or flavorful as the fried chicken. Overall, the biggest misses were the slow service and the higher price point for the portions. Some good flavors and a nice atmosphere, but expectations should be set accordingly.

Drink flights

Food/Drinks: Blackstone has a variety of flights. I truly love this idea, and I'm glad that they do this. The drinks are pretty strong and very aesthetic, which made it 10 times better, and they have a variety of not only drink flights but food flights as well. I got the loaded fries, and it came with so much that I shared it with my husband, and honestly, we both got our own things and regretted it because we could've definitely shared one food flight. I was very surprised with how much they served. My friend got the mac & cheese flights, and he said it was very good. Location: This location is pretty casual and perfect to go with friends and family. Honestly, a great place for a group of people to just hang out and enjoy flights together. This would also be a great place to go on a first date. It's pretty casual and has different types of seating as well. They do have parking as it is located in a plaza. Service: Our server was amazing. She got everything we needed and continuously checked up on us. I will definitely return to this location in the future !

This is now my favorite spot. So cute, clean and tucked away right off new London tkpe in Coventry. I'm so happy my sister mentioned this place (she saw it online and we could not resist) the girls working were friendly and helped us with the menu because we couldn't decide what to have, it all sounded so delicious.. and holy moly.. it was !!! We will be coming back here soon.. Mondays you can mix and match flights!!! Ahhh

Deviled Eggs Flight 2 with bacon and 2 with cajun shrimp x2

This place has more flights than La Guardia and I'll definitely be returning to try as many as we can. I played it conservative today with a deviled eggs flight and bacon double smashburger. The deviled eggs were some of the best I've ever had and tasted incredible. The smashburger comes with cheddar but I opted for American cheese and wasn't disappointed. I thought it was pretty tasty and they did not skimp on the bacon.

Cool concept with the flights of food, but not executed well. The restaurant itself is laid out nice with a bar and a large seating area out front, and a smaller section in the back with cute decorations, a small pool table, and comfy seating. But unfortunately the ambiance is the best part about this place. The service was friendly and really helpful at explaining the menu, since you buy flights of food. And Monday is a special day where you can mix-and-match 3 items from different categories i.e. you can have an item from the mac and cheese flight, with one from the fries flight, and one from the egg roll flight. They also were out of a lot of ingredients, which really limited what we could choose on the menu. Don't know if this is a regular occurrence. The food took FOREVER to come out, and we resorted to crackers and dip we had in our car to stave off the hunger. I ordered baked Mac and cheese, an impossible burger, and loaded fries. The food itself was good, and I liked the loaded fries the best, since the fries were nice and crispy. My friend, however, was sorely disappointed by the tiny taco that came with his flight. This taco, priced at $5.50, could within in the palm of my hand... My friend mentioned he went here a couple months ago the decorations were completely different, so I wonder if the management had changed and they were still getting organized. I also don't quite get how the menu is setup- they advertise flights of food, but outside of Monday's mix-and-match special, you can only pick three items from a specific category. But do people really want to order three different types of fries or Mac and cheese? I know I don't.

Flight of fries Gasssss

Very great atmosphere. It's like in a very weird little plaza but I like it. The service is good you can really sit anywhere you'd like, unless they're really busy My only problem is the prices. They are a bit expensive for some of the things that you can get especially the wings. I don't think that they are worth that. If you're here for a small little drink, and a quick snack, I would recommend getting the flight of fries because it is so worth it with the waffle fries My friend who ordered the tacos and wings, said that they were underwhelmed with the flavor, and how much it filled them for the price

Matcha Flight
Nicole V.

Slider flight was amazing, my favorite was the cheeseburger with the caramelized onion Egg roll flight was pretty good, we lucked out having the thanksgiving egg roll as a special. I will definitely be inspired to make my own with thanksgiving leftovers this season. Loaded waffle fries were everything a loaded fry should be. I really loved the matcha flight, but I wished it had a stronger matcha flavor and in the future might request an extra scoop or so. They use fresh fruit which is really good but has a lot of seeds. I bet if you get a full matcha it's a little stronger as well. This was a really good place for someone like me who can't eat a lot, because you can try a little bit of everything! I have been twice now and both times the server was attentive and helpful when explaining the menu. There's a cafe right when you walk in, and a bigger dining area between the cafe and kitchen. They have a new providence location that is on my list to check out!

This place is great. Staying in town from VA and it's close to the hotel. Food was great, service was incredible. Madison gave some great advice and was very helpful in explaining the menu and process. Got a lot of flights of food and drinks and everything was incredibly tasty.

What a fun little find! Great assortment of breakfast / sandwich options (both vegan and carnivore). Drive PAST McDs, Applebees and Cracker Barrel to find this great little independently owned venue with something for everyone! Mimosas rocked too

Margarita flight

Fun place to meet friends for drinks and to share a bunch of flights! I've enjoyed the margarita flights and the martini flights, both were good. For food we have had the fries, sliders, tacos, and Mac and cheese...all of which were good! Inside the restaurant is cute with comfortable bench with pillows at our table. I like the eclectic variety of glasses and plates that they serve the food on. The outdoor dining area isn't great, as it was just tables on the front sidewalk.

Stephanie S.

After walking in, I almost walked out. Very confusing - no one there to greet you or offer direction. The setup is a very weird concept.. When we finally figured out that it's seat yourself... We went to the first table we saw. The table was dirty, and the waitress came over and started wiping it, with us sitting there, which was very awkward. When our regular waitress came over, she was very pleasant. She explained that everything was in flights of three... Food came out rather quickly, The only complaint I would have was my guests.Food came out a while before mine did, and it was awkward.Sitting there with nothing in front of me. I encouraged my guest to eat so his food would not get cold. Drinks were tasty but pricey for the size Things were a bit cluttered where we were sitting, I'm not sure what was on the floor in the bathroom, but it didn't look good.... I would definitely try it again, but perhaps on a slower night

Espresso Martini Flight (Classic, Dark, Birthday Cake)
Jariah G.

The best outing for indecisive people (like me). Food flights might be the best thing to happen to me. A high energy space with fun and upbeat staff, serving up some classics in a creative way. What's not to love? The wing and espresso martini flights are my go-tos. I really love their buffalo wings and dark espresso martini. Great for nights out with friends who love to share and hate to choose!

Before

Food looked good, but didn't taste good. Wings were really dry, fries were cold , Mac and cheese lacked flavor... flavors were more like toppings, not mixed in or seasoned.

Nice sauce and tender braised meats. My friend let me try her jambalaya, it wasn't like any I've had before, that's not saying it wasn't tasty it was just.... Lighter?! For lack of a better word. I wasn't mad about it because it's a beautiful hotel. Delta had told me that breakfast was included in my stay so I decided to check it out this morning. I had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes, I realize it's a Saturday morning but that was kind of disappointing. They had me wait in the lobby. The included breakfast is technically a good deal, I saw on the Delta travel website it's $11 and I believe my bill would've been $21.... That being said, you only get four entrées to choose from, two of them being pancakes, which was disappointing because I was craving a more savory breakfast. I'm kind of weird and that I don't like eggs, I think I probably would've ordered the American breakfast minus the eggs had I read the menu more closely, but oh well. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes, they were gigantic with beautiful presentation and very delicious. Waitservice was also fine, I was checked on a few times. They have an outdoor seating area with a view of the river, which looked nice, but I sat indoors. Be aware that this is a cashless restaurant but they said I was able to leave a tip in cash so that was good. My total bill would have been about $21 and I left a cash tip. I would come here again when staying in the area, prices were not too bad for breakfast, but the fact that I had to wait like 15 minutes when they had tables available was a little frustrating. Not sure if maybe they did not have a table for two (technically one) available at the time.
