Oh, so so so good! Some of the best in Utah. I've had Leatherby's, Handel's, Brooker's and this beats them all. Such creamy ice cream, you can see the difference in its texture and flavor. I had the Caramel Cashew and the Honeybud. Both were outstanding. Honeybud is a lavender ice cream with pockets or swirls of honey with some bits of honey comb. Wow, so good! The lavender is not overwhelming and the honey perfectly balances the flavor with the slightly crunchy bits of honey comb adding to the texture. Wonderful. I went at 8:00 on a Friday night and they were slammed with no end in sight. Two lines takes care of everyone pretty efficiently, though. Whole families with kids, senior couples, those just picking up prepacks...a wide variety of ice cream lovers in line at the only business in old downtown Bountiful that's open. Run, do not walk. Get at least two flavors. Enjoy. Go to ice cream heaven. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Took my 4 kids with me this time and it was nice and easy! There is a sign that says only 2 taste tests per person but they were very patient with my kids and let them try a few before they decided on their flavors. I love the complimentary cone slice in the icecream. I like to crumble mine into the icecream. I got s'mores today based off of a recommendation and it was absolutely amazing. Tasted like a true campfire smore! Had an amazing Smokey taste.

Honeybud and peanut butter cup - separate scoops, not together - are our go to flavors. Tasty every time! Service was quick and friendly. Dining area was clean, but we sat at their bistro tables outside. We always come back.

Blacksmith Ice Cream is one of those places that makes you understand why people are willing to line up out the door. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the smell of freshly made waffle cones, and the whole space has that charming, small-batch feel. It's a cute, welcoming shop where you can actually see the creativity and care that goes into every flavor. The ice cream itself is incredible: creamy, fresh, and full of unique twists. I tried the banana Nutella, which was rich and perfectly balanced, and the cookie butter chip, which came loaded with extra chocolate chips for the perfect crunch. I also had to grab a scoop of their mint chocolate chip, and it was clear why it's such a favorite (refreshing, flavorful, and not overly sweet). Each creation feels thoughtfully crafted rather than just mixed together, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Between the smell of the cones, the variety of flavors, and the attention to detail in the mix-ins and texture, it's easy to see why Blacksmith has the hype it does. Yes, there's a line, but once you're holding a cone of their fresh, small-batch ice cream, you realize it's absolutely worth it.

Love ice cream places that offer flights so you can try several different flavors! Berry cheesecake and lavender honeybud were soooo good, I also enjoyed their hot honey seasonal flavor. They always come out with fun creative flavors that rotate!

So yummy! Fresh ice cream and fun seasonal flavors. I love the addition of the pumpkin cookie butter flavor for fall! Wish they would bring back banana Nutella. It actually tasted like legit banana...not fake laffy taffy banana lol. Their customer service has gotten so much better, thank you! I love coming here and I look forward to their new flavors every season/holiday. The added dairy free flavors are just as delicious too. I will happily eat my weight in the strawberry basil diary free ice cream. Clean and inviting environment..it always smells so delicious when you walk in. For the quality I think the pricing is fair. It's so fresh and delicious and they use actual, real ingredients. You get what you pay for which is quality. The whole family loves it here!

Walking into Blacksmith you are hit with the smell of sugary local ice cream goodness. The smell of waffle cones fresh off the press. You know it's going to be great. At the risk of the lines getting longer... I will die on this hill that this is the best ice cream in Utah. The raspberry is INCREDIBLE! I have never had a flavor that disappoints. I recently tried the Mango sticky rice which was such a new inventive flavor. The staff is always patient and a delight.

All dressed up on a Friday night, we joined the line going out the door for some local ice cream. It moved fast and everyone was in a good mood because... ice cream. Original and familiar flavors in a cute setting is hard to beat. The girls behind the counter were efficient and allowed us each two samples to make our decision. We went with chocolate brownie and mint chip. Both quite tasty. Good texture and full of flavor. I don't think you can go wrong with any choice. I would have preferred another chocolate option, but I ate every bite. I'm not sure I would drive to Bountiful for it, Salt Lake and Provo have some tough competitors (and my personal favorite). But, I might stop by again on my way through town for a treat.

Fresh raspberry and passion fruit ice cream

We have friends in South Ogden who have raves about Blacksmith Ice Cream, so I decided to take a trip down to Bountiful to give it a try. The first time, I ordered the fresh raspberry and passion fruit flavors (recommended by the employee behind the counter) in a waffle cone, and the second time, I ordered the berry cheesecake and cashew caramel flavors (also recommended to me). Thank you to both employees who recommended me the flavors -- my indecisive Libra in me could not fathom deciding between all the flavors. The verdict: it's good ice cream and at a great price! It's not my favorite ice cream place I've tried in Utah, but it's certainly a good one. I docked a star from them for not offering sorbet flavors which my husband loves. The ice cream is creamy and sweet, and out of the four flavors I tried, I think the berry cheesecake is my favorite.

I heard this place was good and I had other plans in the area so it was finally time to give it a shot. I easily found parking on a weekday afternoon. I appreciated the list of common allergens and which flavors contain them. You get two samples so I tried the mango sticky rice (which had hard pieces of rice in it and mango that didn't taste ripe so definitely a no) and the milk and honey which was super good! I wanted a more vanilla-y one and a more chocolate-y one but there wasn't a chocolate flavor that was gluten-free, darn it. So, after making sure the banana was not artificially flavored, I went with that without tasting it because I had run out of tasting chances. Luckily, it was very good! That banana ice cream tasted homemade- nothing artificial there!

I moved out of the area around the time this charming ice cream shop moved in, so this is my first visit--but it won't be the last. The Dough n Cookies ice cream was good, but the burnt marshmallow flavor of Campfire S'mores was out of this world! The water dispenser and little wafer in the ice cream were nice touches, too. Pretty much, I liked everything about my experience. Even the location on historic Main Street makes it a great place to visit during a stroll!

"Ice cream - we all scream for ice cream!" Well, now we scream for ice cream from Blacksmith Ice Cream because it is SO GOOD! It is such a cute little spot on Bountiful Main Street with a homey feel. The prices are fair and there are so many flavors to choose from. You can get rolled ice cream or just scoops and with any scoop you get unlimited toppings free! My husband got peanut butter cup and brownie ice cream with whip cream, chocolate sauce, and graham crackers. Ashley got peach and raspberry ice cream with fresh raspberries and homemade lemon whip cream topping (which blew us away)! The raspberry ice cream is our FAV! It's Bear Lake raspberry good! It's delicious ice cream. Highly recommend the kind with chocolate sea foam candy. Who remembers sea foam candy? We used to get bags of it at an old candy shop in San Jose in the sixties. We would cut church meeting and buy candy. read more

This is the best place for ice cream in Bountiful, UT. Service is always fast and polite. The facility is tiny so you will likely need to take it outside since the place is usually pretty busy. I love this place. read more

This is truly excellent ice cream. It's actually closer in consistency and taste to a very rich gelato. I greatly enjoyed every flavor I tried here on my visit. The double vanilla is truly phenomenal. The honeycomb Lavender was a very interesting flavor that stimulated all the senses; from the beautiful colors and contrasts to the aroma to the actual taste just sublime. The fresh raspberry tastes just like a bowl of fresh raspberries in cream with no taste of added sugar. My friends who live here assure me that they have never been disappointed in any flavor they have ever tried. You can chose to have your ice cream in a cup, a cone, or a waffle cone. You must try this establishment, you will not be disappointed. read more

A fun little place we found while traveling. Staff was friendly and helpful. A great selection of classic and unique flavors. I enjoyed the fresh raspberry (with real, fresh raspberries) and the banana Nutella. It was a great treat with great prices. The wall says that they make the ice cream on an anvil. That's a lie, but they do make their own ice cream on site so I'll forgive them the creative license. read more

So so good. Super heavy creamy ice cream, rich in flavor and fresh. Its quite pricey so I reccomend sharing, but because of how heavy it is you seriously won't even mind sharing. We got the fresh raspberry and boy oh boy was it FRESH, like im talking fresher then bear lake shakes on raspberry days fresh and its freaking OCTOBER! Great date night . *only outdoor seating which is limited and its getting cold, so keep that in mind when you go. We just ate in our car and that was perfect. read more

Highly recommended! In fact this is my first yelp post since I really want this business to stay open. Their ice cream is incredibly delicious, so fresh (made in the store w the freshest ingredients and real fruit) & you get all the toppings you want included in the price of any item you order. The rolled ice cream is an individualized ice cream made w a base of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, 3 ingredients from a list of 15-20 choices and then all the toppings you want. What a cute little icecream shop. The service was good. Was given recommendations on what their favorite flavors were. We ordered raspberry which was refreshing and not tart at all. It was the right amount of sweetness, roasted rock road was satisfying with the right amount of crunch and marshmallows. The cookies and cream was perfect and the vanilla was creamy and smooth. The home made waffle cones are a must and the prices were affordable. You can take the family without breaking the bank, enjoy the cute outside tables and enjoy Main Street. Loved this ice cream place. There were so many flavors I wanted to try, so I ended up getting 3 scoops in a waffle cone! I tried the blackberry blueberry biscoff, s'mores, and cookie dough. They were all delicious and creamy. The cookie dough might be the best I've ever had, with loads of soft dough. The employee was knowledgeable about the ice cream flavors and able to answer a question I had. Cute atmosphere on Main Street too. I enjoyed walking and looking at the small stores while eating my cone. read more

This ice cream is the thickest and most rich ice cream I have ever tasted. If you love creamy textures, fresh flavors, and quality tasting ingredients, you have got to try blacksmiths! Each customer gets to try two free samples if they would like and you can get your ice cream in a cup or cone. They make homemade waffle cones for $1.00 extra. You can also buy pint versions of the flavors upon request. The inside of the shop is cute and well decorated, with seating inside and outside. Overall, definitely a delicious and unique ice cream experience! read more

If you're looking for a family run ice cream place, this is it. Watch them create ice cream goodness right in front of your eyes. You can sample their yummy hand made ice cream. Try the raspberry. It is excellent! There are tables inside and a few on the sidewalk as well. Friendly staff. read more

We came here on my daughter's 7th birthday because she's been wanting to try a rolled ice cream shop and everything we could find about this place indicated that they do rolled ice cream. They don't. At least not anymore. So we gave her a choice - have some ice cream here, or go searching for another place that does rolled ice cream. She decided to stay and we're so glad! It was the best ice cream I can recall eating in my life. So amazingly good!! It had that nice stretch to it, perfect texture, and amazing flavor. I had a taste of the Lavender/Honeycomb flavor which definitely gave off a "soap" vibe but was unique and fun. I ended up getting Raspberry and Banana Nutella and they were both incredible. We all loved our ice cream. We live in Utah county but will go out of our way anytime we're near Bountiful to stop here! read more

Great old-fashioned ice cream parlor. This place is hardly the "best kept secret in Bountiful". Everyone knows about this place and it is packed most of the time. The ice cream flavors are unique and full of flavor. I took my kids and we shared the different flavors: vanilla, fresh raspberry and Campfire s'mores. The campfire s'mores tasted just like marshmallows toasted over a campfire. It had a slight smokiness that was pretty unique. The other flavors were pretty awesome too. Try the seasonal flavors as they seem to change every few weeks. read more

At first I walked into this place thinking it was rolled ice cream but I was saddened to see that it wasn't. Not a problem, I just wanted some ice cream and it was my mistake but let me tell you...I wasn't not disappointed after eating their ice cream. I was excited for the rolled type but honestly this was much better. We got two different flavors, one was lavender and the other Nutella. The consistency is almost perfect and it's not too sweet or not sweet enough, it really is just right. In addition to that, the staff was very friendly and helpful so the experience was pleasant on top of the delicious treat. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Um yum! Saturday night the line was out the door and for good reason. Highly recommended the fresh raspberry. I also tried the lavender honeycomb which was light and refreshing. Really, really good! It's a fun experience to choose your flavors and watch them mix and roll the ice cream. My kids loved it. I do wish they had other drink options, but that's the only downside. I had vanilla ice cream with banana, biscoff and caramel mixed in and then topped with toasted coconut, toasted almond and more caramel. So yummy! read more

I love the ice cream at Blacksmith, but I cannot believe what happened on Saturday night. We were turned away before closing time (20 minutes before they actually closed and there was still plenty of ice cream), but we were treated so poorly by a male employee there. The employee made a paying customer hold a sign saying "Last in Line", which made the customer the bad guy, turning people away. Meanwhile, this male employee sat at a table outside, scrolling on his phone. We asked the employee if we could go inside buy pints. He said we could buy whatever was in the freezer. The freezer was empty. When we came back outside, the employee looked at me and I said "There's no ice cream in the freezer". He literally looked at me and said "shucks". I left so angry. read more
