Strawberry Matcha and Royal Dutch Chocolate

Needless to say, Blacksmith lived up to the hype. Their flavors are unique yet refined. You can't go wrong with any of their flavors, but as a lactose intolerant individual, I highly recommend the Golden Passion Fruit and Royal Dutch Chocolate. The Chewy Gooey Buttercake is also delightful for those who can indulge in dairy. All the workers were very friendly and efficient, and they certainly needed to be with the line that went out the door on the random Monday evening when we visited. The line moved quickly though, and I can't wait to come back to try more of their flavors! Just keep in mind that seating is limited, so if you're not lucky, you may need to wait for an open table or plan to take your treats elsewhere.

The top ice cream in Utah and one of the best in the U.S. there are some flavors better than others so use your samples to find the one that's perfect for you: personal favorites--Berry Cheesecake, Carmel Cashew, seasonal flavors are always fun to try. And now if there was only a way to get them to make Banana Nutella a permanent flavor again......

The line was out the door (as if often the case), but moved quickly and the ice cream is worth the wait! We sampled several flavors and it was a tough decision, but the mocha chip is my new favorite. The lavender honeycomb (I think?) is unique and we also enjoyed the cookie butter something (recommended when I asked for peanut butter something). Great, spacious location and super friendly employees, too.

We prefer hard ice cream to soft serve, so after ice skating at Millcreek Commons, we hunted this place down. There was no wait early on a spring weekday afternoon. We tried the fresh raspberry (okay flavor, a little ice burned), white mint chip (very good), caramel cashew (kind of nutty) and ultimately ordered single scoops in cups of fudge brownie (sooo gooey) and caramel cashew. We sat upstairs to eat while enjoying a beautiful mural.

This place is SO good!! The line is always out the door when I go (in the afternoon) and they do have very limited seating but their ice cream is worth it! The line travels fairly fast so no worries about being outside too long. They have so many flavors and some rotate monthly so def worth going and trying multiple if you can. Truly crave this place so I highly recommend, I go about once a month!

My new favorite ice cream spot has been unlocked! The ice cream is rich, creamy, and full of flavor, you can tell it's made with high-quality ingredients and care. Every flavor we've tried has been unique and delicious, and they're generous with their portions. The shop itself has a fun, welcoming vibe, and the staff is super friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is the perfect spot to treat yourself to some of the best ice cream in Salt Lake City. The sampler is a great way to try multiple flavors. Usually busy but the line moves fast!

This was the best ice cream I've ever had. I got the Campfire S'mores and it was perfect! It had the perfect flavoring of marshmallows, chocolate, vanilla, and graham cracker. The waffle cone was also the best I've ever had! It's light and airy, but crispy! The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be back!

Let's be real-I'm a big fan of ice cream. So when my dinner date suggested that we go for dessert, I didn't hesitate to agree. He knew right where to go, and I happily went along-always eager to try a new place. As we pulled into the parking lot on a Friday evening, we immediately noticed the line of people out the door. That's a good sign, right? Someone once told me that if you ever see people queuing up, you join the line. Figure out what you're waiting for later. Luckily, the line moved quickly-much faster than a hopping LA nightclub. Service is friendly and they are happy to provide a couple samples per person so you can try something new. This is where they got me. I'm usually a traditional ice cream flavor girl, but I was feeling adventurous and asked for a sample of the lavender honeysuckle. At first, my reaction was "nope, not for me," but as I gave it a second it grew on me. That's what I ordered and finished off with no regrets. Pro tip-take your sweet treat upstairs for a great view of the dining area below. It's terrific people watching.

After a long day of walking around, we decided we needed some ice cream -- and we're so glad we ended up here. The place is large, with seating upstairs that gives you a nice view of the operation below. They have two counters with sets of ice cream flavors, I'm guessing so they can serve more people without getting in each other's way. You can even see them making small batches in the kitchen, and everything looks super fresh. We were greeted by a super friendly staff member who explained the menu and offered us a couple of samples. We settled on a double waffle cone with Salted Caramel/Peanut Butter and Cookie Dough/Peanut Butter. They were way too big, but we still managed to eat every last bite. So yummy! Definitely a place we'd come back to!

Blacksmith ice cream has been on my list for a long time! All of my foodie friends rave that it is the best and creamiest ice cream out there... But it's a little far north and I'm never up that direction! I finally made a point to drive a few extra minutes up north to try blacksmith and holy moly... I'm addicted! The cute girl working was super patient with us and let us try as many samples as we wanted. I had two little girls with me and they were absolutely in heaven! This ice cream has the most incredible texture! It's absolutely insane and has to do with the fact that they roll it out and then swirl it together. It's absolutely unbelievable. The interior is really fun... Almost like you walked into an old saloon with crates, funny pictures on the wall, and hand written menus. If you get the chance, make the trip to blacksmith. I wasn't disappointed!! (And you won't be either!!)

Blacksmith Ice Cream A sweet surprise on a hot Utah day. My friend brought me here and I was impressed! They hand churn all their ice cream, and it shows. I tried the Honey Bud (lavender + honeycomb, a nice nod to Utah's bee love) and the Berry Cheesecake. Both had a smooth, slow-melting texture and weren't overly sweet. Staff was very nice and there is a bottom and an upstairs, so plenty of space to sit and enjoy some ice cream. Would love to see this expand to San Francisco

A hot day in Utah calls for a ice cream break so off to Blacksmith! Private parking lot - helpful staff- Winter helped us decide on the many yummy flavors neatly displayed. We got our 2 samples to help us make a flight selection. Fresh Raspberries- this surprise me - it was do creamy and I loved the fresh raspberry flavor - Dough & cookies- very different but yummy flavor Cold Brew- got to get this one again really yummy and loved the coffee notes Campfire Smotes - love the marshmallow flavor and ribbons of chocolate I just love how hard cold the ice cream is served - serve flavors are awesome- fresh great ingredients used - I really enjoyed the flavors we got and smooth texture of the ice cream. We'll be back - today we got in quickly but a line quickly formed behind us in no time. Lots of seating upstairs. The staff is crazy busy but are helpful and friendly. We went mid afternoon and they were busy but they get crazy busy at night. It helps to know what you want to order before you get to the front of the line! It helps the staff and everyone behind you!!

Single scoop spilt flavors in a waffle cone

SO GOOD! I've been wanting to try this spot for a while now, and finally got a chance to last night. The ice cream was fantastic! Creamy, great flavor, and fresh waffle cone. I got a single scoop split with s'more's and fudge brownie and both were perfect. My son got snickerdoodle and loved it, and his girlfriend got the mocha cold brew. We were all happy with our choices. The price is great -- lots of ice cream for what you pay. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the line moved quickly. Inside is nicely decorated with a room to sit upstairs. I wish they had an outside seating area, but that's ok. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to others!

Ice cream here is honestly the best I've had. It's so thick and creamy and the flavors are 11/10. Have been twice now and will be back.

At first we thought, "okay, this must be amazing," but it ended up being a huge letdown. We waited an entire hour for ice cream that was literally sitting out on the counter melting the whole time (photos included). There were only three employees working with easily 70+ people in line, no exaggeration. One employee was focused on cleaning (even though they weren't closing for another hour and a half), another was handling DoorDash orders (which honestly should've been paused given the situation), and just one person was scooping for that entire line. By the time we finally ordered, the staff didn't seem friendly or helpful. I get it, they were probably overwhelmed, but it still impacts the experience. The ice cream itself was fine, but definitely not worth the wait, especially since it was already soft and melting by the time we got it.

My boyfriend and I prefer the "original tart" flavor of frozen yogurt, regardless of where we go. Top It's tart flavor is a bit off, which we remembered as soon as we took a bite. It tastes too yogurt-y, which sounds silly if you don't like tart but if you do, you get it. I also got the pineapple flavor and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The toppings were fresh even at the end of the day. If you enjoy prefer flavors other than tart, I think it's worth a try! It is conveniently located in Holladay near other shopping and restaurants, plenty of parking available.

She even gave a couple animal crackers to my toddler as we were filling our cups. As far as the yogurt goes, it is as very different than many other frozen yogurt places I've been. It's much thicker and fluffier than other yogurts and has a bit of a different flavor. This was by no means a bad thing though! There also weren't very many flavors, but the 3 I had, chocolate, plain, and mountain blackberry were all very good Apparently they also serve curry which is really random ha. I definetly suggest coming to check this place out for yourself
