Ice cream here is honestly the best I've had. It's so thick and creamy and the flavors are 11/10. Have been twice now and will be back.

I got the flavors salted cookie dough, berry cheesecake, the lavender honey flavor (my favorite), and the avalanche cookie flavor. The service as good. Nice people. Everything I expected from a bougie ice cream place! Parking was easy, everything around is closed at night but I imagine day time might be harder. I love that they have kid sizes though they're still expensive and only have a cake cone option, so all the kids ask for the waffle cone which is 1.25 more. Get some basic sugar cones please! I love the unique flavor combinations and the inside ambiance vibes and upstairs seating. I think they ran out of wood on the upstairs ceiling which I expect more out of given the expensive ice cream prices! We did love that there's a huge dairy free section, yay! I don't like ice cream. This is a hard truth for many. I like to get ice cream in Portland at S&S and that is about it. Then we found Blacksmith. This is one of the places that you almost don't want to give a good review because it becomes that much busier. I used to look for an excuse to go to Bountiful so I could have the raspberry ice cream. Now they have a location by my home in Sugarhouse and I couldn't be happier. Whatever flavor you decide on, get a scoop of raspberry to go with it. I also love the Cookies and Cookies, Smore, Passion fruit, and berry cheesecake. Although, I have never had anything that wasn't absurdly delicious. One of their seasonal flavors was Mango sticky rice this summer and what a divine flavor idea for ice cream. I also love the seasonal black licorice flavor and take home a pint to eat a spoonful here and there. Hot tip, really for any ice cream place. I always order a waffle cone on the side to dip into my ice cream. Then I can control my cone to cream ratio. read more

Its location seems a bit odd, including navigating through a little construction and some random parking lot but we got there and it was totally worth it. The seasonal flavors were unique and delicious. Their regular options all looked so good, I could have ordered anything and been pleased. My waffle cone was perfectly made and filled with two flavors - lemon bar and milk 'n honey. The amount of ice cream was on point and I finished every bite! A great new addition to Millcreek! I was so excited to finally check out Blacksmith Ice Cream after hearing so many amazing things about their Bountiful location. Congrats on your new location in Millcreek! I know this place will do great here. The ice cream is SO. GOOD. I wasn't even all the way back home yet before I started writing the review. Between here and Normal, we've got a pretty regular rotation. This place is all about quality of the ice cream itself, with a secondary focus on unique flavors. My favorite is the caramel cashew, with whole frozen cashews for texture and the richest, most decadent nutty flavor. The line's often long because by now everyone knows it's top tier, so expect to wait of you're going during peak hours. Dog friendly outside, where you can sit on the curb of the parking lot. read more

It is a strange interior with minimal, inefficient seating, expensive ice cream, and it is an upscale business- not great for a group or kids. The line out the door when we left was not moving quickly and I don't know if it would be worth that long of a wait. There are non-dairy options which were also very good. Awesome experience from the moment we walked in to leaving! Staff (special thank you to the may 31, 2025 evening crew) was super friendly and helpful even though we squeezed in at the last second. One of us got the fresh raspberry and fudge brownie which was so good and I got the non dairy royal dutch chocolate which surprised me because of how creamy it tasted. Literally the BEST ice cream I've ever had! I'm more of a gelato girl because I prefer an intense flavor when eating a treat. Usually normal ice cream is good but not great in my opinion. But this place blew me away. I've been craving it! We got fudge brownie, chewy gooey butter cake, honey bud, rhubarb crisp, berry cheesecake and cookie dough. They were all phenomenal. Haven't had special ice cream in a while. Only disappointment is that they limit each person to 2 samples. We had a large group so tried a lot of flavors. Every flavor I tried was really good. Don't know if I have a favorite.... Surprisingly the non-dairy flavors were really good. I usually can't stand non-dairy ice cream. The royal Dutch chocolate is non-dairy and you couldn't really tell the difference. Other job-dairy flavors that were really good were blueberry lemon and golden passionfruit. I still like the real dairy ice cream better. My favorites were probably fresh raspberry, milk and honey, camp fire s'mores. read more

OUT OF THIS WORLD! Don't walk, run here now!!! I'd been meaning to try this place as soon as it opened but the flu got in the way of that. Well, happily recovered I went right over with my hubby and we were both blown away by the flavors and quality of the ice cream here!!!! We had the campfire snores and I kid you not, I felt like I was eating a toasted campfire marshmallow! Cold brew tastes like a long sip of smooth Columbe cold brew coffee (I can NOT remember the last time I had a coffee ice cream this good!!) Fudge brownie was chock full of chocolate gooey scrumptiousness! Carrot cake was amazing!!! Literally pieces of sharp spiced cake with cream cheese, where has this been all my life!! The waffle cone was sooo amazingly fresh and crisp. It hit the spot! The whole time we were there, our eyes were wide with how amazingly lucky we are to have Blacksmith so close to us! Soooo worth the hype. First thing I noticed was the long line but they had such a fast, smooth system of picking your ice cream and checking out we flew in and out so fast. Rachel & Jason were so awesome and patient they probably would've let me try all the flavors even tho they had a small sign stating only two samples per person. All the flavors we tried were seriously 10/10 it was so hard to pick! We had to go with the July flavor "Grilled Pineapple" and it was sooooo good. We also got Campfire Smores, Fresh Raspberry, Honeybud, White Chocolate Mint, & Berry Cheesecake! I can't wait to go back again. Another thing worth noting was there reasonable prices!
