Of course, when you have great ice cream everywhere, it's difficult to choose which are your top places as they all are a top place! LOL Blacksmith ice cream is so creamy, lots of cream content. Their flavors are exceptional, you have to try them. This place is definitely popular. They have some tables inside and it is actually in this multi-purpose building that has several businesses as well as apartments in the upper level. You can go out the door into this lobby-like area where there are couches and other seating available if the main seating area is full. Such great ice cream, you need to check it out. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

This location offers the same early-American charm in its flavors, decor, and staff uniforms that makes it stand out from all of the other ice cream chains in the valley. On top of that, the ice cream is superb -- there are over two dozen flavors, all named after patriotic people/themed, in chocolaty, vanilla-y, caramel-y, fruity, and all sorts of other base flavors. They also make waffle cones in-house that are delectable. I can't recommend Brooker's highly enough -- go get yourself a scoop or two!

The workers all dress in revolutionary times clothing and garb and act like they are from the 1770s. They workers were friendly and patient as well, which is always welcoming! The ice cream was high quality...as it was creamy without a trace of ice. Their flavors are all named after prominent historical figures. A few examples are Patrick Henry's Give Me Chocolate or Give Me Death, and Thomas Jefferson's Declaration of Cookie Dough. They had so many flavors it was across 4 boards! We each got a different flavor in a waffle cone and we all really enjoyed our ice cream. My youngest son was being a little loud so I dragged him to the working stocks and locked him in! Another uniquity about this place is they have assorted flavors of 'drinking chocolate' for purchase. They have 13 flavors named after the original 13 colonies. Really clever! After arriving back to our home in Arizona from our SLC vacation, we drove by 'coming soon - Brooker's Ice Cream' in Chandler...really cool we're getting one of these ice cream shops!

Service was quick and ambiance was casual. I wish they had outdoor seating options as indoor seating was limited and only accessible by stairs (no good with a stroller). A Utah classic making a comeback If you have been watching…read morethe Mountain View Corridor area fill in over the past few years, Bluffdale is starting to reward that patience with some genuinely good finds. Snelgrove Ice Cream opened here just four months ago and it is already one of the good reasons to make the trip. Founded in 1929, sold off in the 90s, and brought back by the family in 2019. It is the kind of comeback story that makes you want to order a second scoop just to show support. Walking into this location feels like that comeback is in good hands. The walls tell the Snelgrove story with a nostalgic touch that gives the space personality, and the merch selection, small but creative, is worth a look on your way out. The menu covers scoops, milkshakes and malts, sundaes, dirty sodas, cookies, and gummies. The flavor list is small rather than overwhelming, and if you are on the fence they will let you sample before you commit. The signature flavors are the ones to know: Canadian Vanilla, Burnt Almond Fudge, and Bear Lake Raspberry are original Snelgrove recipes. I went with the caramel salted cashew, and added waffle chips. Creamy, rich, and exactly what a premium scoop should taste like. Bear Lake Raspberry is already on my list for the next visit. One honest note: the portion size is on the modest side. Worth knowing before you order, and worth sizing up if you are anything like me. Friendly staff, great story, and a product that backs it up. Four stars and a brand I am genuinely rooting for.

It is an Utah legend that was purchased by Dreyer's who did nothing with it. The brand fell by the wayside. The original two locations in SLC were designated historic landmarks. The granddaughter bought the rights when it became available again. She uses grandpa's recipes. So glad she is doing well to open up yet a fourth or fifth (?) location! They were totally prepared for the crowds for this 2 scoops for $2 grand opening special! Pop up tents outside for the line to funnel through. When my wife and I went last night, there were about 50 in line. But due to their efficiency, the line went pretty fast. They had two working outside to take orders, which were circled on pre-printed papers with the flavors. They had laminated menus passed out to everyone. The order slip was then given back to you. Once in, there were around 8 employees working behind the counter scooping, cashing out, supplying. You got to the beginning of the freezer case, they took your paper, wrote your name down, passed it down the line to someone who would scoop. Then they called your name and gave you your ice cream. Bam! done in less than 5 minutes. All the while all the employees are happy, being cheerful, enjoying what they are doing. The place is clean, brightly lit, has a seating area with four tables and a long bench with chairs. All fun colors. Very nice store.
