I've been wanting to try Snelgrove for a while now and I am so happy I did! They had an abundance of unique flavors to choose from like Mint Brownie Batter and Mocha Jo Java Chip. Countless toppings to pick from, creamy milkshakes and baked goodies for takeaway. I got the mint Brownie Batter and Chocolate Brownie Batter on their iconic double scoops cone. The interior is decorated with a fun and colorful mural. They were pretty busy when we were there so we couldn't sit but they have indoor and outdoor seating. It seems like a popular family spot (I am what ice cream shop isn't) but they are open pretty late (11PM) if you're trying to avoid the crowds. Currently they have 4 stores open and a 5th on the way so I definitely suggest giving it a try when they pop up in your town.

Super cute ice cream shop! The staff were very friendly and the inside of the shop was bright/colorful! We ordered the ice cream sundae with one scoop of the bear lake raspberry, triple chocolate fudge, strawberry cheesecake. All three flavors were very yummy!

Yea! A Snelgrove opened here! It is a small store, but big enough to serve their wonderful ice cream. Definitely not one of their large capacity stores but good enough to get your favorite flavors. Utah certainly does not lack in ice cream stores. Snelgrove faces tough competition. But this location should serve them quite well, especially with their business hours. I also love their 60s and 70s playlists. The employees are cheerful. They are also enthusiastic about their store and products. The ice cream is high quality, yet the prices are on par with all the other ice cream establishments. As a matter of fact, I think they are cheaper. Only $4.75 for a double? Wow. There are a variety of cones and ways in which you can enjoy your frozen dessert. The ice cream has a very high fat content which makes for a very rich and creamy frozen dessert. The flavors are outstanding. Snelgrove was founded in Utah and after a decline (Thanks to the uncaring Dreyers who bought them out years ago) is in a resurgence and opening new stores, this being one of them. The granddaughter of the originator bought the trademark back after it went back into the domain. All the ice cream is made by her at her St. George location and she ships it out to her other stores. They have flavors that no one else has. I love their Malted Milk, for example. Their variety of chocolate flavors are SO good. Come and visit and try them out! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Super tasty ice cream with good serving sizes without being the size of your head. Quick service in a cute little place. Small though so I'd probably get it to go.

So happy they are back! Great service, iconic flavors and puppy friendly. Enjoyed the peppermint spray and Carmel cashew.

I visited Snellgrove Ice Cream recently and while the shop itself was lovely and most of the staff were fantastic, my experience was soured by one particular server -- Hartman. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional throughout my visit. Not only was he painfully slow, but he was also sarcastic in a way that felt mocking rather than playful or friendly. To make matters worse, I was absolutely disgusted to see him spit in my shake -- something that is beyond unacceptable in any establishment. Despite that, I want to give credit where it's due. Braxton was absolutely wonderful -- friendly, efficient, and made me feel welcomed. Even Tucker, who wasn't even on the clock, went out of his way to be kind and helpful. They are the reason I'm still giving this place a 5 out of 5 stars. Hartman is honestly lucky to be working alongside such standout employees, because without them, this review would look very different. Management should definitely take note -- great staff like braxton and Tucker lift the place up, but one bad apple like Hartman can do real damage. just joking hartman is very wonderful

Burnt Almond Fudge, Charles Rich Chocolate, both flavors of ice cream are fantastic!

Mediocre. Flavors were a little lacking. I'm not mad I got ice cream here but if I want ice cream again, I'll probably go somewhere else

He came right out and walked my order to my car and was so pleasant and personable. He shared with me his family's story about how these bite sized, individual pies came to be, and how him and his family take great pride in these pies and the family recipe. I sampled all their flavors and they were pretty fantastic. The lemon merengue was an instant favorite - the lemon had a punch full of flavor but not overpowering at all. The fruit tart was just a great balance of fruit flavor with the custard. The heavenly chocolate with Andes mints is a fantastic one to try as it's a seasonal one, but perfect for the holiday season. The coconut cream was an instant hit with just the right amount of sweetness. And the crust - wow, it's spot on that compliments every flavor of these bite sized little heavens-in-your-mouth. Overall, these miniature pies are the way to go for wanting a taste of every flavor of pie - without having to have a slice of a regular sized pie. Plus, in my opinion, it's more fun to eat, share with someone, or just to be able to give yourself a treat anytime.

Even if it was just me I think the small is plenty big. They have plenty of seating and a fun photo op wall as well. They offer ice cream as well. The workers were nice and it was cool to see them make them in front of us through the glass. I got the Strawberry Shorty that had strawberry chocolate, white chocolate, fresh strawberries, cookie crumble, and whipped cream. It didn't have very many fresh strawberries at all, but it was delicious! My sister got the Funky Monkey that had Reese's peanut butter, milk chocolate, bananas and almonds. It was delicious also! So rich and creamy, I just wish it had more bananas with it. My dad got the Dulce De Leche that had white chocolate, Dulce De Leche filled, banana, and toasted coconut. Like the other two it was delicious! Just wish it had more bananas. We took ours to go and ate them at home. They traveled just fine and were still fresh by time we got home (20 minutes). We all liked all 3 of them and cannot wait to go back and try some different flavors.

We were planning on going to another dessert place close by but they were closed so it was a happy accident that we came here. Definitely not a place you want to miss.

In this case, I think it is for the better, as you can have ice cream delivered straight to your door! A month or so back I placed an online order right around their same-day cut off time of 4pm. I was so impressed when a bagful of ice cream was dropped off at my door within less than an hour! We enjoyed the following: Rocky Road features a mild chocolate base and small bits of nuts, but I never found even ONE teeny marshmallow in the whole quart (I just looked up the description to make sure I wasn't mistaken and it definitely mentions those squishy white delights!). Fresh Peach Gelato boasts local peaches from Kuwahara. Tangy, but just-sweet enough. Not quite as creamy as others, but that is par for the course with most fruit based ice creams. Oreo has mostly fine Oreo pieces, but a lot. If you had asked me, I'd have guessed my preference would be larger chunks, but I'd be wrong. This is delightful! New York Wildberry Cheesecake gelato has a great, natural cheesecake flavor. The swirls of berry are rather sweet, but tempered by the tangy base. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry was a surprising household favorite with it's uber creamy pretty-pink base and stracciatella style dark chocolate. They offer a variety of flavors, with some seasonal. All gelatos were a bit harder than ice creams, which is no surprise given they have less cream/fat in them. I am sure if left at room temperature for five or ten minutes (as you are supposed to do for all frozen treats), they would be perfect consistency, but I never have the restraint to wait that long. We bought everything in pint ($5.50) or quart size ($7.50), but you know those long rectangular containers seen at gelateria's? YOU CAN BUY A WHOLE ONE FROM BON BON ($30)! Can you imagine how perfect that would be for a party? There is a $30 minimum, which is extraordinarily easy to meet, and a $5 delivery charge. Go support this wonderful local business crafting such delicious treats!

It was early, and it was already busy. TIPs & TRICKs Follow the rules: Get the tray, then the wax paper liner, then use the individual wax papers at the stations to grab what you want. While you're doing that, pay attention to the pricing, because it can add it. To see the plain butter croissants empty already was shocking, but when we told the employee she came back to not only stock it but came to us first and let us pick which ones we wanted off the tray That was very nice The pain du chocolat looked good and were lacking in depth and flakiness of the crunch The Chausson aux Pommes - was really good - They could have used another minute or two in the oven to get that golden brown. They were looking like the pastly white guy at the beach while everyone else had a tan The mochi Dubai Chocolate donut was very good. The total was almost fifty bucks.... I told my wife that we could have about 40 croissants for that price if we were in Paris. C'est la vie! Look for a chain - Its pretty good. I didn't try the coffee but if they ever show up in Boise metro area, I would check them out to see if they match up with SLC.
