Contacted AAA today to assist us with battery issue for our truck and we were referred to Blacks Towing/AAA service here in Murrieta, CA. Our service technician Steve did an outstanding job and provided the best service we ever had with any towing company. Been a member of AAA since 2021 and this is the first time we've contacted and utilize their services. Steve was very professional, explained to me the step by step procedure of what he was doing and after the diagnosis, he offered me options on how to better resolve my car issue and I felt like he was genuinely honest with everything he was doing and the service and product that he was proposing. I ended up purchasing a battery from him with a 3 year warranty. A couple of hours later, had issue with the trucks power window so I called AAA back and Steve went above and beyond by coming back to assist with that car issue. I am truly amaze on the service that this company has provided and to Steve for being true to his word. Started out great got to my location fast with the requested flat bed, got my car up fast and brought it to my house. Then all of a sudden the driver got mad when taking it off saying I don't tow low cars if you weren't on the freeway I would've left it and said "raise it or go get new insurance" and was rude while unloading. We had to tow our spare car in because one the battery died and two the Audi service department said it may have been the computer that went out. And then said they couldn't do anything because the battery was dead and they aren't allowed to charge it in order to check the car out. She had to call AAA to come out and check the battery and they were extremely nice and helpful! They replaced the battery and checked a few things that the Audi service department should have done!! This is the absolute worst towing service, or lack of, in all of the valley. I needed my car towed to Burbank, less than 100 miles, set it up with AAA who told me at 12:30 that Black's would be there in less than 55 minutes. At 4:30, I got a call from the Murrieta shop that they never picked it up. I called AAA again who told me that they would get ahold of the driver. At 4:59 , I called Black's towing and got a bitch that I had to deal with before on another horrible experience who tells me they turned it over to another company as they didn't want to go out of the area. I demanded to know why they didn't notify me and she said they don't do that! I am calling AAA back and trying to get them to cancel Black's towing service contract as a carrier! I was in an accident and the CHP cloths me it's more efficient if they call the tow vs me using my road side assistance. The first words out of the drivers mouth were," Are you okay?" I told him I was fine and it was business as usual afterward. I had to go to their yard to get my belongings out of my car and the customer service could not have been more polite, professional and courteous. Giving a star because yelp made me but they truly dont deserve a star at all . They have the worst customer service! My son was involved in a Motorcycle accident in which he was taken to the hospital! This accident was not his fault and CHP had blacks towing take his completely totaled bike (because like i said my son was taken by ambulance to the hospital)!I called and spoke with them A day after the accident the lady said there was nothing for us to do since it was totaled and even sent us pictures of the totaled bike. I told them we were going to sign the pink slip over to them and she said that wasnt a problem . Fast forward a week or two and we got a noticed of lein in the mail . I called and spoke to brian seemed like a nice guy that cared for others. he told us we had to pay the towing fee of 450 and he would wave the lein fee . I told him we would be down there in a few days to take care of because my son had just got out of the hospital and hadnt been working and we needed to get the money ! Today my son went down to take care of it and they were COMPLETELY RUDE. My son has been through alot these last few weeks and for them to treat there inncocent customer the way Brian did is horrible! Brian was i guess pulled away from what looks like golfing cause he came up with a golf club in his had and YELLED at my son stating we were suppose to be there on friday and he wasnt going to wave the $70 lein fee anymore because we didnt come! Mind you my son hasnt worked in a month and had to come up with money to pay the fees to sign his bike over ! Not to mention it was never told to us that we had to be there by friday ! On July 24,,2019' I was taking my dogs to the groomers and when I lifted the the dogs carrier bag I accidentally brushed my keys and locked myself out and my other fur baby in the backseat! It was already hot and I immediately started to panic ! I had my phone in my back pocket and dialed 911 but was told that they were unable to open it because of liability and to break the window. I used AAA after my car wouldn't start to request a tow. They transferred me to Black's Towing. The representative on the phone, Anita, I think, was very helpful and accommodating. My car was in a parking garage and she said the tow truck wouldn't fit up there, but assured me someone could help me when they got there. I also didn't have an exact address and told her my approximate whereabouts and she didn't seemed bothered or inconvenienced. I waited the estimated amount of time, and it wasn't long at all! When Damon arrived, he was extremely friendly and helpful. I explained what was going on and he gave me his opinion about a few possibilities. When we told him what shop we were going to get it towed to, he offered alternative suggestions certified by AAA, saying that shop was probably going to overcharge us (we just moved to the area and haven't set up a mechanic yet). He gave us multiple suggestions and let us choose. Such a nice guy, with great hair too (not that that matters, but really cool hair). Thanks, Black's! On Friday, May 13, 2022 a Black's Towing Inc. tow truck driver at approximately 9 pm , towed my 2006 BMW 330i sedan from my garage to the towing companies tow yard against my will and my best interest, totally undermining the reason for why we requested the service of a tow truck, with the assistance of our local fire department (my vehicle's gas tank had leaked fuel in our garage as deemed by our local fire department). I'm the original/sole owner; paid more than $50k for my car in 2006; had it for 16 years; no car note, paid in full. At approximately 9:30 pm a flat bed truck from Blacks Towing Inc. pulled up to our driveway. The driver backed his flatbed, partially, into our driveway, leaving enough room for my car to be pushed out slightly. The tow truck driver proceeded to push my vehicle out of our garage, onto the driveway, and proceeded to pull my BMW onto the flatbed tow truck. When he was finished, I politely instructed him to tow my vehicle to BMW of Murrieta. The driver responded by flat out refusing, stating "I'm not gonna do that." "BMW of Murrieta doesn't have a night drop off." I told him to leave it on the street. He said "I'm not gonna leave it on the street with the registration expired." "I don't want it to be towed away." Making decisions arbitrarily, as a representative of Black's Towing Inc.. that are not in the best interest of the consumer. I spent more than $3000 on a relatively new engine (70k mile approx), replacing a blown 300k mile engine, and over $1000 in DIY repairs within recent months. Didn't even get a chance to test-drive my renewed 2006 BMW 330i sedan. My vehicle was sold by Black's Towing Inc. to Pick-ur-Part after being in possession of it for 42 days. I calculate my loss to be in excess of $7000, easy. read more
