Our family has relocated across state lines multiple times, but unfortunately, this was by far our…read moreworst moving experience. Several factors contributed to our one-star rating: Exorbitant Insurance Costs - The insurance options were unreasonably priced, nearly 50% of the total move cost, and still required a deductible. This felt more like a cash grab than genuine coverage. Unfair Pricing Adjustments - We conducted a detailed video walkthrough for the company to provide an accurate quote. To cut costs, we donated five or six large, heavy furniture pieces before the move. However, the company refused to adjust the price downward, claiming that additional packing time offset the difference in volume. Poor Load Security - Our belongings were not properly secured in the moving truck. Upon delivery, multiple, heavy duty plastic totes had crushed corners, indicating a lack of care in handling. Mishandling of Fragile Items - Despite being clearly marked "FRAGILE" with arrows indicating the correct orientation, several boxes were stacked upside down or sideways, leading to unnecessary damage. Property Damage - Over $1,000 worth of damage occurred during the move, including scuffs and marks on the floors of our new home, further adding to the frustration. Communication Barriers - Of the six or seven crew members, only two spoke English, and while they were kind, it was evident that serious miscommunication was occurring throughout the process. We feel terrible needing to leave a negative review, but want to warn others or encourage improvement. If nothing is said, nothing will be improved.
