I had done business with Vanguard in the past for minor storage needs. So, I decided to go with…read morethem for my intra-state move. Mike and Dave gave me a detailed and honest quote prior to the move. Dave came out to look at exactly what is being moved and gave me a price range based upon how much packing I did or didn't do beforehand. Although I thought we'd need a bigger truck, Dave's calculation turned out to be spot on. The crew arrived early, and worked incredibly hard. I've read reviews of other movers on Yelp taking smoke breaks, playing on their phones, and loafing. These guys were all business, and never missed a beat. They were fast, thorough in their packing and transportation, and didn't hesitate to ask questions along the way to may sure everything was going according to plan. I would absolutely hire this company again. The crew works very hard and they work smart without wasting time. No damage to any of my items or either location, and that's despite some VERY tight fits along the way.

They treated everything like it was their own and were prompt and professional. Of all of our moves over 50 years this was hands down the best. Dave and his crew were amazing on the packing and load out and Dave personally handled the delivery flawlessly. And in an industry noted for bait and switch, the price was exactly what they said it would be in their not-to/exceed estimate. You'd be crazy not to give them a shot.

I needed to store some items over a 3-4 month period in this area. I didn't want to use the storage…read moreservice that I'd used in the past based on recommendations. I looked online and came across Southbury self storage. Their website was so simple and direct that I didn't believe it. There was a sale on unit rentals when I was inquiring and it was a much more reasonable pricing than I'd seen elsewhere. I called and spoke to Paul and then Rob. Anytime you call you get an answering service where they call you back after you leave a message or someone picks up right away. I've experienced both and they are prompt about communicating. Paul and Rob are also very nice. You can literally set up an account, rent a unit, and access your stuff without dealing with anyone. The parking lot is well lit as is the facility itself. They provide dollies, carts, and such to move your items. They also have a broom and pail for cleaning up any mess you've creates while moving. If you are looking for a private, safe, clean facility that is monitored without being intrusive, this is your sign to go for it. My items were retrieved at the end of the rental and wete perfectly intact and in the same condition they were left. I've no complaints and can't refer them enough.

Their excuse...people were complaining because their workers kept spilling trash on customers property. How did they fix it? By requiring customers to separate and bag all recyclables. That is not "single stream" which allows for commingling of ALL recyclables. Not very helpful or accommodating to their customers either. Can't wait for NF to implement town wide garbage pick up.
