We used to come here when it was different owners and was more of a bar and grill kind of place. It is pretty much a bar, with bar food. Went in to grab some dinner and immediately you're hit by cigarette smoke. This is clearly a draw for those who want to smoke at the bar, not so much if you want to enjoy dinner out. Several empty tables; most people were at the bar or pool tables. Loud music that can be played via jukebox on the wall, 70% of what was playing was speed metal. Lots of TVs which is great for sports but unless you want to just go and drink and shoot pool, I wouldn't suggest it. read more

This corner restaurant has cool door handles! If you look at the front door, you will notice that both door handles are guns. That is kind of unexpected, and kind of cool. Walking into this obvious sports bar, there is a strong smell of cigarettes that will probably never go away. If you have a child that is seriously affected by the lingering stench of cigarettes, this place would not be kind friendly for you. They obviously had the whole family in mind because they do have a sandbox in the outside area. Only problem I could foresee with having an outside sand box is that animals may take it as a giant litter box, but that is neither here or there. There is a place for you to wait until you are seated that showcases their daily specials. Specials are always a great way to get people to frequent your restaurant. I am truly shocked that everything on the menu is kind of pricey. Considering that this is a sports bar, you would think that food would be a tad bit more reasonable, but it is what it is! There are a lot of choices on the menu, so you should be able to satisfy whatever craving your group has. I ordered the Grande Nachos Beef Fajita and chicken mixed, and was surprised that they piled the food on. I can definitely say that this is not premade food. You order the food, and then they take the time to prepare it. The nachos had a little bit of everything on it from jalapenos to guacamole. The cheese sauce was kind of loose, but was enjoyable none the less. They were quite generous with the meat, cheese, toppings and chips. After seeing the size of those nachos, I knew that any other food I would get would have to be to go. The server I had was quite understanding and very useful in all aspects of my visit. I ordered a rack of ribs, mixed steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes for the to go order. I also ordered a brownie sundae to go as well. When I finally did get around to inspecting this food, I immediately noticed that the ribs were very meaty, and they did not skimp on the slab. The sauce was good, and not overpowering of the meat itself, and overall was an enjoyable slab. I am not speaking about the vegetables because they are necessary evils! The brownie sundae was okay. I like that they did not use nuts in their brownies for those with nut allergies. The brownie was decent, but nothing to rant and rave about. The ice cream that they used was quite good. Not a bad way to end the meal. All in all, I think this place is too pricey for the type of food they serve and the atmosphere itself. I wished they had combos on the meals, such as steak and shrimp, steak and ribs, or any other mixtures, but they do not. With the Groupon I had, I would definitely go back to eat with them again. I think that Groupon value is what the true value of that food and atmosphere lies. If the Groupon comes around, give these folks a shot. read more

The happiest little bar in the middle of the burbs. One of guys in our golf groups decided to get his own bar and bought this place! One evening a few of us decided to scope it out. Having only been here once, I'm hooked. The biggest attraction about this bar is the personality, it's a Clint Eastwood(Good bad and the Ugly) outlaw motif on the outside, and a Clint Eastwood(Bridges of Madison County) warm sunny feel inside. Possibly the friendliest group of patrons I've met in a long time. They laughed, smiled, even over the bad karaoke. Food here is not like any bar food I've experienced. Now it's not fancy like a gastro pub, white linen, swarmed with stuck up sommelier. It's a loaded menu with plenty of diversity. There is a little lunch area blocked off on the other side of the bar for some privacy, and that comes at no extra charge! The nacho's are out of this world, friendly bunch of southerners, I think it's gonna be a hit. read more

A couple of years back my partner and I used to be regulars at this bar. The food was surprisingly good, the bar-staff friendly, the drinks solid and the vibe was good as well. What a difference a couple of years makes. We came in, sat at a table and were greeted quickly by a waiter. We ordered a round of drinks (Vodka/Soda with lime for me, Rum and Diet Coke for her) and then waited. It took a bit but the drinks came, this was OK because it was Friday night and that's busy times for a bar. That's when things went pear-shaped. The drinks were basically mixers with a splash of alcohol. Once we finished we had to wait a LONG time to get a 2nd round. The waiter stated that "she had to make a pizza" which she used to explain away the wait. We got our second round and they were the same as the first. I went to use the restroom and it was filthy. There was urine all over the floor in front of the latrine, the sink was out of soap and there were no paper towels to dry my hands. Plus, the sink was dirty. In an odd move for me, I skipped washing my hands after using the restroom because, quite honestly, that seemed to be the more sanitary option. After I got back my partner used the ladies restroom and reported the same sad condition. Also, no toilet paper. She had to jump over to another stall to get some. She also did not wash her hands because everything was so dirty. We decided at that point that we wanted to leave. Lo and behold the waiter had to "make another pizza" (although we never saw anyone getting said pizzas) and it was 20 minutes before she came back by and we could cash out. We used to visit this place a couple of times a month. Sadly, we won't be back in the future. Addressing the smokiness: I actually found it less smokey than it used to be, but it's still pretty smokey inside. This is more a bar than a restaurant but I wish there were more bars in the area that did not allow smoking indoors. read more

Wish there was a "Zero Star Option" for this place. It was horrible. In a nutshell, the young and rowdy waitstaff was inattentive, loud cussing could be heard from the bar area and kitchen (all coming from the staff) and it took forever to get our food, let alone refills of any kind. All that being said, the food was EVEN WORSE. My husbands "homemade chicken fried steak" was actually a frozen patty reminiscent of school cafeteria food, instant mashed potatoes.....it was simply gross. Now, maybe we went on a bad day when they were out of the fresh stuff or something......but then tell us that when we order.......I guess that goes bach to the bad service again. I would give this place zero stars if it was an option. I just left one minute ago after sitting in there for a good five minutes. There were about 15 people in the place sitting around the bar, and not one person acknowledged my husband and I sitting down at a table and looking at a menu. My family and I use to love to eat here quite frequently when we lived nearby. The food was always great and consistent....until a recent visit last week. It had been several months since we came here, since moving a few miles north, but I decided bring my kids here so that they could play in the sandbox while I ate in peace. When we arrived there were several people smoking outside where the sandbox is located. Not ideal, but we went ahead and sat next to them. The sandbox was running low on sand, and my kids were scooping out cat turds one-by-one. Yuck. It was never this bad in the past. Despite this, I was hoping the food would make up for the yucky smoke and cat turds....but it was a big disappointment. I ordered a sirloin with mashed potatoes and green beans. The waitress didn't ask me how I wanted my steak (and I forgot to even tell her). I usually like it medium, but since she didn't ask and I forgot to specify, it came out WELL done (burnt and dry). I had to cover each bite in mashed potatoes to get it down. The green beans, which in the past were delicious, with bacon in the broth, were terrible and tasted "Off". There was something just not right with the look and more importantly - the taste. When the waitress checked to see how everything was, I nicely told her the green beans did not taste fresh. She got the owner to come out and chat with me. He was very nice, and told me he and his partner just bought the place in November and that the chef had made the green beans on Sunday (4 days ago) and that maybe they should cut their 7 day period down to 4. Now, I'm not in the restaurant business, but at home I never eat leftovers past 2-3 days. Seven days just seems too long to serve something, despite it being refrigerated. It just doesn't taste fresh, and why serve that to people and charge for it? Anyhow, I'm hesitant to go back here ever again. The food use to be SO good, but it was really gross this last visit. When I first moved to Houston this was the closet pub to my home so I went a few times but I am a red wine drinker and after at least 6 inquiries about them carrying a decent red wine I just gave up. I am also not a fan of smokers and they have a ventilation system in place but never seem to have it on. I drive a few more miles to a smoke free place with great wine. If you are a nonsmoking wine drinker I do not recommend going here. read more

Ok first off this place is great! My girlfriend and I recently went there and noticed that there is a special for each day. We have been here multiple time and I guess we just noticed the sign, and wanted to kick ourselves for it. With that being said we thought it would be fun to try each day and have a date night. Great prices, food is amazing and drinks are a little heavy handed depending on the bartender, but who would ever complain about that. They have a shelf of games, two pool tables, darts and I believe a poker arcade game. There is also a patio with a great night time atmosphere surrounded by lights. The only downside is that the waitresses are the bartender's and if you aren't sitting at the bar you need to have your hand wave down to get their attention. Working in the restaurant and bar scene I totally don't mind this because I know that they are working and not just on their phones ignoring you, however I can't speak for other people. Also this place allows smoking inside, so if you are not a smoker I feel that you should still try this place out just because of the great prices and specials. The menu has drastically changed (with many items removed), the pricing of drink specials has nearly doubled, and the quality of service is nonexistent. I used to love this place. I just moved back to the area and couldn't wait to go eat there again so last night I went with one other person and I am so sorry I did. The place looks like they thought about remodeling and started to but forgot to finish. Menu is missing so many things that used to be on it and food took forever and was cold. There was hardly anyone there when we arrived at 6:30 (should have been a clue). Service was just OK, however when I paid I didn't count my change (big mistake on my behalf) and left a tip. When I got in the car and counted my money I realized the waitress had already helped herself to a tip, so she got double. Taking your own tip out from your customers change is not a tip but rather a fee being charged! Will not return. Don't know if there are new owners or they just got lazy but the place is a mess and doesn't even resemble the place it used to be :( read more

The food was horrible my husband said it was the worst meal he has ever had. The mashed potatoes look like they had cut up a baked potato and put it in the container. This was, by far, the worst order that we have EVER received via Door Dash. We have visited here before, and the food was okay then. However, having food delivered was a huge mistake. My husband's chicken fried chicken was unseasoned, hard and dry, there was no gravy sent, the plain baked potato was truly plain...a potato wrapped in foil...that's it- no condiments were sent/offered. My appetizer sampler was deplorable. The boneless chicken was only partially tossed in the buffalo sauce, the fried cheese was sent with NO marinara sauce, and the fried pickles were really salty. We live relatively close to this place, so the food should have been the correct temperature, but it wasn't close to being hot and was barely even warm. This bar was everything I'd hoped it would be after moving from the inner-loop to the soulless suburbs. As others have written, great food/cheap beer and Clint Eastwood authenticity in both decor and patrons. My bf thought the cobb salad was the best he'd ever had, and our nachos were amazing. The waitresses were attentive. There's just one big caveat: This place reeks of tobacco. Cigarette smoke permeates everything and there is no place to sit to get away from it. Smokers are allowed on the patio, too. I have no plans to return, except for to-go orders. Unless you are a heavy smoker Blackjack's is not for you. Definitely don't bring the kids. read more

Having read the review about the new owner admitting that they serve leftovers for SEVEN...7!!! days we DEFINITELY won't be back. When Ms. Debbie owned it there was never a problem. Yes the staff seemed to be young and not always on the ball but I never had a bad meal there. It was always good if not very good. This is the first smoking restaurant I've encountered since moving to Texas eight years ago. The first time we went in, the smell of second-hand smoke as so strong, our group unanimously agreed to find food elsewhere. I tried it again after the urging on a friend who said the food was good. This time not only was the smell of second-hand smoke as bad as ever, two tables who came in after me lit up within 10 feet of where I was sitting. I can't comment on the quality of the food because eating in this environment was not only unappetizing, but down-right dangerous for health-conscious non-smokers. Unbelievable. read more
