I called this location because I had a coupon code for a free large pizza. I was told over the phone that they would give me the free pizza as long as I brought the code. I walked in and they said the full price. I said that I had talked to a woman over the phone and she said I could get a free pizza. She then "applied a coupon for $6 off for a free salad and also her employee discount." She said I owed $13. When I asked how much the total was, she said $30. That would tell me the salad was $17... I should have only paid for a side salad and maybe a ranch or two. I was hoping to get a free pizza, it's a good chain but not this location. Never getting Blackjack again. read more

I ordered a pizza and a calzone, the calzone had the completely wrong ingredients and I have been throwing up nonstop ever since!!! There was chunky white cheese on it that was really dry and curdled but tasted nothing like blue cheese, it had chicken, instead of beef, that nasty cheese instead of cheddar (which is yellow, not white, and isn't chunky) I called to complain while desperately trying not to throw up again, the guy just picked up the phone and said "hold on", I wasn't even sure if it was black jack at that point, and a girl came on the line 20 min. later and when I told her what was going on, she said that they put the sausage, green chilis, beef and cheddar on it (which was what it was supposed to be but wasn't even close, so she pretty much said that I was lying about what was on it), and asked me what I wanted them to do and I said I wanted my money back, she got the manager, who asked me if I realized I was bothering them in the middle of a dinner rush and I couldn't believe he said that ("excuse me!") told me the right toppings were on there and that they had sold hundreds of the exact same calzone in the last hour (obviously not accurate), said "we don't ever give people their money back!" and that no one else that got the exact same thing complained. He said they were too busy to deliver me a new pizza, and I told him that I don't want any more of their food anyway, it made me very very sick and he said, "we are too busy for this right now" and I can give you a $10 gift certificate, that's all I can do, take it or leave it!" I told him that I guess the customer is always wrong, and he said "I guess they are". I told him I don't ever want to eat their food again, and he said "do you want the $10 gift certificate or not?" I said, I guess I don't have a choice if I want to get anything back at all. He said he would send it and never did. Just a cheese and mushroom pizza and the crust was a bit thicker (deep dish). Would order it again but it didn't give me a mom and pop vibe. Just a local chain vs. national chain feeling. Opted for carry out over delivery to save some time. Came in and they unfortunately had forgotten a pizza in the order. Young woman inside was apologetic and offered me a free fountain drink while I waited. Store was clean. Television inside for news and sports while you wait. No issues with their shared parking lot even with delivery drivers coming and going. Staff was friendly and acknowledged me upon entry. We've ordered from this location numerous times with great food and delivery. Last week I ordered a pizza and wings, and when it arrived they accidentally gave us a cookie instead of wings. When I called the store to see if they could send the wings, they replied that they were too busy to send a replacement order, but connected me with a manger to get a credit for free wings for a future order instead. I was initially disappointed, but the manager offered us a free pizza and wings for a future order as a replacement. We ordered this replacement tonight, and you could tell they went the extra mile to get our order perfect. It arrived quickly (even for a Friday night) and the food was perfect! I have always liked that BlackJack uses "Real" ingredients on their pizzas... I can remember back when everyone else used Canned Mushrooms (UGH) and BlackJack used real, fresh, sliced mushrooms. Wow. My boyfriend is out of town, and I work from home on the weekends. I usually spend my lunch break taking the pup for a walk, so I didn't want to make anything crazy for lunch. I ordered this knowing my daughter, and I would eat it for a lunch/dinner. The 20oz sodas were $1.25, and while I live next to a gas station... I also live on the 3rd floor and am admittedly, lazy. I ordered four bottles of soda to hold me over for the next four days [and with that price difference... saved some money]. Our pizza and cheese bread arrived and came with a TON of peppers/parm. My sink was full of dishes. Using more plates was not something I wanted, but I didn't order the paper plates thinking they'd be more for offices and such. The fact that my delivery also came with paper plates made it that much better. That, to me, is outstanding customer service! And to top it off, the cheese bread was worthy of our love of cheese - and the cheese tasted real - not "blob of grease in my stomach -blech". The pizza was the best from a chain I've had around here. We got the square/pan Hawaiian with BBQ sauce [which is the only way, IMO]. Nothing will ever beat my homemade pizza, but this is pretty damn close. They are not shy with the toppings. It's nice to see that somebody loves olives as much as I do. There was easily four times the toppings that Dominos uses. It's good, but can be pricey. Make sure you use the coupons. Otherwise, you may be paying too much. Blackjack used to be my families go to place for pizza. Recently over the years the quality of the pizza has gone down as well as the size it seems. I got my girls a Medium Pepperoni Pizza for Dinner and was disappointed that it cost $12 and seemed to be the same size as a small. Used to be amazing, but what happened? When we first moved here, we discovered and fell in love with this Blackjack. The pizza always came quickly, was hot and fresh and full of awesome toppings with a nice mix of sauce and cheese. The pan crust was always crunchy on the outside and moist inside...and we were amazed at why anyone would order from any other more expensive joint... However, over the past several months the quality has been declining -- to the point that we've actually gone to a competitor for the past 2 or 3 pizzas. What's happened? Well, toppings have become chintzy--all but disappeared; the pizza arrives lukewarm and tastes almost like it was pre-made and then reheated; no matter which crust we ask for -- pan or hand tossed -- the crust comes exactly the same. I hope these problems are temporary -- maybe related to a bad crew or manager -- but we'll be staying away for awhile. Bad pizza is still bad pizza, no matter how cheap it is. read more

I have been wanting to try this place out for a while since it's not a big national chain to my knowledge and they are mainly a local Denver franchise to my kmowledge. We got the large bacon and garlic and it was pretty good, the crust was pretty good as well. It wasn't that busy when I went in to pick up, it took abiut 10-15 minutes from the time I ordered until I got so pretty quick. The staff was pretty nice and offered me a drink while I was waiting. My wife and I have been ordering almost exclusively from this Blackjack for the past 4 or so years, even though there is a Pizza Hut, a Dominos and a Papa Murphy's all pretty close to our house. About 3 years ago, I'm not entirely sure on the date, we noticed a dramatic improvement of the quality of the pizza from this location. We couldn't put our finger on it, but it was as if every single aspect of the pizza had been improved. Then just yesterday, my wife was out and about and I decided to treat myself with my favorite pizza: thin crust, pepperoni and black olive. Pretty simple, but it's never done me wrong. And oh my god, it was the best pizza I've ever had. The consistency of the cheese, the amount of sauce. Almost every single bite I took had the perfect amount of ingredients on it. I usually throw my dog a few scraps as his eyes silently plead for me to show mercy, but not yesterday. I ate that whole thing by myself and let the dog lick the plate.
