Used to frequent the Groton location when I lived in Ayer... now that I live in Maynard, I eat at the Acton spot all of the time! "Breakfast all day" is basically music to my ears. Their omelettes are excellent! The salads and other items are good, too, but I almost always order the goat cheese scramble and sausage. Coffee and espresso are tasty. I like that they experiment with different specials, like lavender lattes and different teas. Employees are polite and efficient. Have had consistently good experiences and definitely recommend this cafe/restaurant. read more

Just got lunch there, a garden salad with grilled chicken. Fresh, excellent vegetables, especially considering it's January in Massachusetts. Very fast, friendly service. I have Celiac Disease and am always apprehensive about ordering out. The man who took my order this morning was extremely accommodating and genuinely cared about how my sandwich would be made and the safety behind it, I wish I got his name he was great. I got a chicken pesto panini on GF bread and it was amazing. Rarely does GF bread not crumble but this one was awesome! I also got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and I also really enjoyed! My husband and I came to eat here once. He had some sort of a burrito and I got the Mediterranean bowl. I was fairly happy with my bowl but he said it was just ok. I think more than anything we were surprised by how small his burrito was considering it's $12. We ate at the restaurant outside. It's pretty depressing to eat outside. There are no decorations. No flowers. You're essentially eating next to a parking lot. They could try to add something - anything - to make it look nice. You order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. They have real silverware, which is nice. They have a self service water station, which is nice. I guess if the prices were lower we would have been fine. food was extremely bland and soggy with grease (northender sandwich, eggs and toast, loaded homefries). food was missing sauces/toppings listed as part of the meal as well as any form of seasoning, and any prices you may see in store do Not reflect the accurate price as every item we ordered was noticeably more expensive when it was rung up on the tablet. two entrees and a side was $56 with no itemized receipt. please save yourselves the money and time. read more

Open early for breakfast. Guest WIFi. Clean, bright with a nice selection of folky music. Scone had the perfect mix of soft and crunchy, coffee is excellent. Menu had a solid variety. I came in here two days in a row and their almond croissants were sold out both times. Thats a good sign for them, but if I can't make it in as an early bird and at 9am I have no options it's not a fun stop. The third time I decided to try an egg and cheese on a croissant. I was patient, but It feels like it took a decent amount of time to come out. It was takeout and I didn't go far, just a couple doors down and then I opened it up and the entirety of it was so soggy. I know croissants are filled with butter, but this was soggy all the way through, it wasn't crunchy at all. Try it out, I'll be back to try something else out one day. read more

I ordered eggs benedict which was super flavorful. They also made a really great caramel latte. We also ordered a side of home fries which were really good. I wish you could a smaller portion because it could feed 3 people. Pricing for food/drinks are what you would expect to pay in Acton area but at least you get great tasting fresh food. :) Wish they didn't serve my breakfast on a mini cast iron dish(hard to eat/cut on). Good chicken pesto panini (I'll give it that) and Caesar salad. Only MAJOR take back is a panini and a side Caesar is $21!?!? WHAT? I almost hung up the phone when I was given the total before I gave my card information. I've worked in fine dining kitchens for 6 years, and there's almost no reason/justification for it costing that much just for two items. Given the information stated above, if I'm paying with a card over the phone I almost near certainly expect a receipt attached to the kitchen slip that's stapled to the bag . That should be standard so the customer can see the charges for the mods (modifications for short). Second point if I'm paying $12 for a panini it better be a big panini, not some market basket size panini that costs half of the price they're charging. Third and final point is why was i charged $8-9 for a side Caesar in a small takeout box? That's almost just sheer highway robbery. Most restaurants only charge $2-3 dollars more to add on a side salad if you don't want chips or something along the lines. This math is just off of the top of my head but come on, the Number one rule of working in kitchen/establishment is if you take care of your customers they'll be coming back = more traffic, revenue, good reviews. I hope they take anything of this into consideration. read more

This place sucks. Asked for a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, egg well done. Received Canadian bacon (either raw or spoiled) with two runny under cooked eggs. Two hours later I got unbelievably sick. I think that speaks for itself. read more

I paid $29 for breakfast here today. It was definitely worth the buy. I would pay it again 200 more times. I had been to 5 star restaurant for breakfast and paid like $80 for a small plate of food. This place was worth it. I will never complain of prices for good tasting food. For people that do complain about prices for good tasting food I'm laughing right now. The only problem I did have with this place is that I did not get my receipt when i paid with a card over the phone. But even then so what, that is what a bank statement is for. Really bad experience here-for $36, my husband and I each got two eggs, homefries, and two pieces of toast. The food was cold when it was given to us and undercooked. They messed up my order, giving me a skillet with tons of meat when I had ordered the vegetarian one. My "overhard" eggs were runny, my husband's breakfast meats had a weird taste, and the toast was soggy. The coffee was sour and tasted bad. We watched as the employees messed up two other orders, and those people got their replacement food before I did, even though we had shared our concerns before them. Shockingly bad experience. No clue who answered the phone as she gave no name (female with heavily accented English). First call, she asked me to hold and hung up. Second call, she was taking my order and told me they had a lot of customers and could I hurry up. As I was placing my order she kept talking, telling me how busy they were, and was repeating my order back incorrectly due to her not listening. When I asked her to please let me finish so we could get it right she told me she has other people to help and hung up.
