Another AMAZING Springfield find!!! The burger was REAL beef. I had the burger with bleu cheese, bacon and avocado !!!!! We also ordered the Parmesan and truffle fries with garlic Mayo!! My husband and I devoured these! So huge you'll have to share. The burgers are totally generous. If you share fries and a burger with someone-you'll actually have room for the shake selections!! I was too full to get one. We have been both times when visiting family. You must go here. I'm from the Dallas area and I can't find a burger this tasty. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive and so NICE!!! They worked so hard to make our lunch enjoyable. Definitely a hang out with tvs (we got to watch college football -PLUS!!!) and music going! We'll be back!!!! read more

Absolutely delicious!! If you love burgers, you have to try this place! I was in town for work and got a recommendation to check this place out. It did not disappoint!! The food was so good, the sweet potato fries with PB & marshmallow drizzle were heavenly. The fries orders are very large, 2 orders was way too much for 2 people, but we had to try multiple kinds! read more

A friend's recommendation brought us here from Florida. Decent alcohol selection with some draft beers. I asked the bartender Wes, what was his favorite burger and he recommended the SpringPhilly. And holy cow, it was savory! I would explain the burger as a "beautiful mess." Prices are great, and customer service is solid. Only issue was the floors were really slick, so be careful! read more

Stopped in Springfield on our way back home to Indiana. Decided to try this spot out for dinner because they had a gluten free option for our daughter with celiac. Let me just say, Black Sheep hit the mark in every way. The gluten free bun was so good, I would have ordered it myself! The staff was Chick-Fil-A level friendly and the food was phenomenal. The burgers were juicy, the fries were perfectly cooked, and there are sauces for any taste. Our milkshakes were outstanding too! Best part was that as incredible as the food was, the price was more than reasonable. Cannot recommend this hopping burger joint enough!! read more

We fell in love with this place. The music the people the crowd so chill. The smoked fries are slap yo' mama delish!! We'll definitely be back again read more

Great place for a milkshake! My boyfriend and I stopped in while visiting from out of town - great spot for dinner and a break. We got the purple haze (non-alcoholic) shake and WOW was it good! Also got the foodie burger (delicious) and the paradise city drink ( and when it says beware, it's RIGHT - such a tasty drink but you don't need more than one! ) This place hit the spot after a nice summer day. read more

Sarah is the best server of all time!! She was super attentive and helpful for our groups dietary needs. The food was nothing short of amazing!!! Everyone enjoyed their meal and was stuffed. Fries are a nice large size and shareable. The shakes are amazing and great for dessert. Parking was tricky but the side streets were out best bet. Highly recommend this place if you're in town. read more

Loved this place! Spent the day driving and almost opted for chain fast food, but we ended up here and what a treat! This is exactly why you should not waste your time on chain store food when local options are available. Truly a foodie burger that was perfect! I ordered the bleus brothers burger and my wife got the born in the USA burger which were both exceptional. I also highly recommend the Parmesan truffle fries served with 6 dipping sauces - ketchup, Sriracha ketchup, roasted garlic Mayo, truffle Mayo, chipotle and ranch - all homemade and all delicious. The waiter, who was great, talked us into a boozy shake for dessert - we were stuffed, but happy! Highly recommend this place! read more

One of my favorite burgers! The fries are great. The service is outstanding and although we had a mixup around a dine-in order, the whole experience became endearing. Highly recommend if you've ever had great burgers down in Texas, this place seems just like home! read more

service was excellent, Spence took great care of us. The Bleus Brother might be the best burger I have ever had. I recommend the habanero cheese curds. read more

Y'all! Stop what you're doing, and go get yourself a Light My Fire Burger! It was incredible! From the toasted bun, to the perfectly grilled patty, candied bacon, even down to the jalapeños and onions caramelized.. it was perfection! For a side, we ordered sweet potato fries, also exquisite! Our server even kindly brought us out a tray of sauces, which were awesome by the way! The aura was so cozy and rustic. The leather on the seats, the dark rough wood, and the brick in the building gave the whole experience so much more character than it would have had! Point being, this was incredible food and a great experience! read more

One of the best food I have ever taste. I feel a little bad. I enjoy making burgers and had always fancy mine super great...but theirs put mine to shame. I'm gonna have a hard time, but an enjoyable one trying to top Black Sheep's WHAT THE DR. ORDER.BURGER. I love their decor and the service is top notch. I don't feel like a stranger here even though it's my first time eating here. I'm glad I did. read more

Black Sheep - WHAT THE DR ORDER BURGER and jalapeño chili cheese fries. - Burgers Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Great burger and crazy rich tasty shakes. We probably had 4 of the shakes and everyone loved theirs. Giving 4 stars because it was more a fast food joint than a sit down cozy spot, and maybe a tad highly priced for what you get. But some of the best fast food I've had in a while. I'm sure it's priced as is because they use quality ingredients which you can taste. Would Dflty recommend and I will return! Good vibes in here. read more

I tried this place after a Yelp suggestion. It was overpriced for what it was. The burger was tasty, but just not for the price. If I am going to grab an expensive made to order burger to go, I would choose five guys. I definitely would stick with the burgers over the chicken. The chicken lacked flavor. And you may want to get the sauce or mayo on the side, the amount they put on their chicken and burgers is really ridiculous. Worth a try, if you can afford it. read more

We try to come in when we are in town. Today we started with the Take it Easy and the Baaagarita. The Old Fashioned was delicious! The margarita was a little weak for our taste, but did have a really good flavor. We both got the Blues Brothers then added Sea Salt n' Pepper Fries and You Are Smokin' (pulled pork fries). Omg everything was amazing. Probably some of the best food I've ever had. For dessert we had the Purple Haze and Sugar Daddy (both alcoholic). Amazing!! I can't wait to come back. read more

Great place for burgers in Springfield. Love their selection of sauces for their fries. The service has always been great the the atmosphere is very nice... especially the patio. read more

Darn good, but not perfect. Patties are a bit thick for a smash, so no lattice and not much Maillard reaction. Flavors are good, but my bacon wasn't crispy. Tried the cheese curds too. Imperfect coating left them a bit underwhelming in the crunch department. Great flavor and very cheesy. Not very spicy. read more

Good food a little expensive not a whole lot of expensive love the blues brothers burger

Delicious burgers, creative fries and shakes--all classic rock themed. The exposed brick, warm lighting, mini-chandeliers, and prime bar seating make this the perfect aesthetic to enjoy a burger. Black Sheep has the best burger, and shake in town, bar none. That's why I was so disappointed on one of my recent trips there when the milkshake I took home one night had a large chunk of plastic in it. This had never happened in my previous couple of visits to Black Sheep, so I knew it was not the norm. I found a phone number on their website and reached out to Mike, who must be the owner or manager of the location. He was concerned about my experience and immediately made things right by comping me a free meal on my next visit. I'm glad to see that customer service isn't dead, and that Black Sheep puts their customers first. Thanks Mike and Hayden for helping make things right. read more

Best burgers in Springfield Missouri, and they know it. So it's the price that reflects this in Comparisons to other burger place. This would be considered more of a gourmet among burger places. Including delicious truffle fries, and other exotic things to put on a burger. I also don't believe this is a place you get burgers alone. It has a group vibe and I don't think I see hardly any one by themselves when I go. I do not recommend get the burgers for carry out, to me the quality isn't the same. read more

Ate there on Black Wednesday - that's what you kids call the night before Thanksgiving, the biggest bar night of the year? Ah, I remember it fondly but didn't have a name for it like they do now. Place was crowded but luckily there was one lone table available for seating when we arrived. Great! We only need the one table. The burgers were good. I had the one with blue cheese which is my standard order in specialty burger joints and it was juicy and I did not waste any, no. I've had better burgers, but in places like Atlanta, and St. Louis, and even in Flat Creek but I don't recommend you go out into the night to find them. Most people I saw were eating the burger with a helping of beef brisket piled on top of it and for whatever reason, I don't like burgers that also have other meats piled on top of them. Note: bacon doesn't count. Bacon is not a 'meat' as much as it is a 'life's complement'. Bacon does improve anything and everything. But no, keep your brisket and gyro meat and pulled pork and deep fried chicken patties off of my burger, thank you. No, today we're here to talk truffle fries and milkshakes made with Russell's bourbon. Fries do not come with the burgers; they are an extra. This is because their fries are worthy of their own consideration. And, no matter what else you are eating at Black Sheep, even the burgers with the extra meat piled on them, order truffle fries. Unless you are medically certain you are allergic to truffle, or garlic, order the truffle fries. It is required. Finally, I mentioned bourbon milkshakes. They have a good bourbon selection and if you've never had it in a milkshake, you aren't living the very best life you can be living. Two weeks later and I am still tasting it. YUM! The dude that said this was a 'standard burger joint' can scrape me sideways. Go back to Cali, jake. read more

Best burgers and fries. Awesome bloody marys. All around great place and prices. You also need to try a shake, they are like no other.

We had a great meal here!! Our service was good, the fries were amazing, and I actually really enjoyed the salad the most of all I ordered, but that's just because it hit the spot for my mood. We tried the chicken sandwich and the bacon burger, both were perfect and exactly what we were looking for! The atmosphere was really neat and I love the lights hanging from the ceiling. Our tiny table in the middle of the walkway left a lot to be desired, we got bumped into a lot and it was just too close to everyone walking by. That's my only complaint and their food was good enough to erase that mostly. We will come back when we're back in town! read more

I love coming here when I want a great big juicy burger! The blues Brothers is my favorite! I love the blue cheese, the avocado, the truffle mayo, and the candied bacon combined with the medium rare burger with that prime beef! It doesn't get better than this. Let's not forget they use butter lettuce (bibb lettuce) the french fries are to die for as well, and I'm not a person that usually orders french fries, but I do love my dipping sauces! I will order french fries here, as long as I have somebody that will commit to sharing them with me read more

Was in the mood for a good burger and decided to try the Black Sheep. It did not disappoint, food was awesome. Great dive with craft burgers. The waiter recommended a burger voted best in Springfield and it didn't disappoint. Fries were ok, probably should have gotten chilli instead of pulled pork on the loaded fries. Elvis milkshake was good, but needed more banana. Service was good and time to eat in line with craft food. Neat place was great for visiting while you wait on the order. Gray atmosphere, almost pub like. Parking can be a little of a headache, but that is anywhere downtown. read more

Great vibes all around! I will say, the floor is always superrrr slick so be aware. The rosemary and pepper fries with truffle mayo are always my favorite appetizer with the bluevcheese burger for the main course. As a visitor to Springfield, I hadn't heard of Black Sheep and therefore didn't have very high expectations. We went to the downtown location and ordered our food to go. The burgers and the french fries were incredible! Service was great: while waiting for our food to go, we were asked by multiple people if we had been helped yet. The inside had pretty tight seating, but the vibe was perfect for this place, rustic but clean and inviting. We will definitely stop by again before we leave! read more
