I finally got the chance to try out this place, and I gave the iced chai tea latte a try, and it wasn't a very strong chai. Most chai lattes I have had have been much stronger in the spice department. However, I do think that this place might have other drinks that I might like, such as the smoothies and Italian sodas. I love the storefront and the interior is inviting to sit and enjoy coffee, work, and hang out, I love it that they collab with other businesses to provide various bagels and pastries from Bagel Sphere, New Day Bakery, and Elephant Elephant. The coffee, however, I did not enjoy. I asked for the most popular drink, which the barista said was the caramel blondie latte. I asked it to be 25% sweet. Unfortunately all it tasted like was thick syrup. I had one sip. I will give them another try in the future as order something else. Casual. There is a parking lot and overflow parking area. First time trying this spot while visit Oregon from SoCal, service was amazing, employee was super kind. I got the Mexican mocha coffee, this tasted good. My boyfriend got the French toast coffee drink, which he said lacked the French toast flavor but for coffee, was not too bad! I would definitely come back as the service was also quick! read more

4.5 stars I recently tried BRCB and like it! LOVE their chorizo breakfast bagel; using Bagel Sphere bagels. I go through their drive through between 6 & 6:30 am. They mix my odd decaf lattes perfectly. The only negative is for mochas they use chocolate milk rather than mixing their own base. Good responsive service, barista's are kind. I did learn they get in trouble if they don't mix fast enough at the drive through window which is only a problem when GH/DD orders come in, doubling or tripling orders they have to manage. read more

I would rate my overall experience as average at best. The food was overly sweet and unremarkable, and the coffee was average and expensive, especially compared to other options in Eugene. Watered down, weak coffee that reminds me of Dutch Bros. If you like super sweet, sugary drinks, this is the place for you. If you like good coffee, stick to locally owned sit downs or drive ups rather than chains like this. I had such a terrible experience when I went to this place for a meeting with a colleague yesterday. We were there from around 10:05am-11:10am. I don't know what is going on with the staff at this location but they are the most lazy pretentious terrible group of employees I've seen in a long time. Literally the worst customer service I've received in Eugene in the 4 years I've lived here. I just moved to this side of town and this company's coffee is pretty ok so I figure we'd give this place a try. What a terrible idea. My colleague waited at the counter for around 7 minutes with no line and 4 people working behind the counter and I guess the entire staff was too busy cleaning already clean counters and chatting amongst themselves for 1 person to help my friend. We had to get the meeting started so he just sat back down and we did what we had to get done. When we got up to leave I asked to get the restroom code. Mind you my colleague and I were pretty dressed down but you can see clearly we're not going to shoot up or bathe in your restroom. I was told by the guy working behind the calendar that I needed to buy something before I got the restroom code. When I explained we did wait an extensive amount of time at the counter to purchase something but could not get service, the guy actually argued with me that, "no it was only 2 minutes." No two buck Chuck Taylor it wasn't. And now you're telling me I cant pee because you're terrible at your job. I encourage the general manager or owner to review the security footage if they have any between 10am-11:15am on 4/11/24 and please do either get your employees some intensive training in how to prioritize customer service work appropriately or fire the members of your staff that were there at that time yesterday and just start over because I promise you, if they behaved like this once when it wasn't even busy, they do it all the time. Too bad. This place seemed like a decent coffee shop for my coworkers and friends and I to meet at that is close to my new place. I would have given them a decent amount of business. Now not only will I never go back ever again to ANY Black Rock Coffee, I will tell all my friends not to as well. Please someone train the darn staff over there to not be such discriminatory lazy terrible people. read more

Pretty good coffee , really fast for opening while selling free coffee, definitely recommend

Multiple nights and early mornings I have been accosted by the pop music literally blasting from the outside speakers of this store. The store is 4 lanes of street and a parking lot away from me yet inside my house I can hear every word of the songs coming from the coffee shop. When I asked if they could turn it down the barista told me no. Said it was to deter homeless from sleeping at their building. But it is keeping up people who work for a living and pay rent. Why should we suffer because black rock opened a business in a neighborhood known for its homeless situation and now have young baristas who are afraid to open the store? I asked the baristas in the afternoon and while they told me the same thing they did admit the music was set to full blast! They agreed to turn it down to a more manageable volume. However, I am rudely awaken at 430am today by blasting pop music yet again. Coffee is supposed to wake you up when you want it to, not when you are trying to sleep for your next work day! Bad enough that you open a business next door to a small coffee stand in an attempt to push them out of business. Rude. Now your employees are being rude to the whole neighborhood. Please figure out a way to protect your baristas witgout keeping the neighborhood awake. read more
