He wasn't pushy at all, with the exception of the retaining wall adjustment, the price never changed. I felt like the salesman who came out…read morerecommended a significant amount of work that was unnecessary, and the repair they ultimately offered was extremely overpriced in my opinion. The price they quoted me was around $3,000, and I've included some pictures below. What concerns me most is the lack of trust I now have in their recommendations. I previously hired this company to do tuckpointing work for me. About three years later, I contacted them about touching up a few areas, and I was told the work was already in bad shape. When I reminded them that they were the ones who had performed the original work, the response was essentially, "Oh, we can just repair these couple of bricks. It's not a big deal." After that experience, and now being presented with what I believe is an unnecessarily expensive repair, I simply don't feel comfortable doing business with this company anymore. When you hire a company and spend good money on their work, you expect fair pricing, honest recommendations, and quality workmanship. Unfortunately, that's not the experience I had.
