We hired Skyline to replace our wooden backyard fences (fences that flank both sides of our property) with steel/wood privacy fences. The entire experience was handled very professionally. The process started with Ramiro, the owner and leader, visiting us to ask about/listen to what we wanted in a fence. Ramiro spent a fair amount of time with us to ensure full understanding of what the project would entail. Within a few days, Ramiro provided a fair estimate. Based on the reviews we read about his team's work and on our initial experience with Ramiro, we hired Skyline Metal Fabrication. Within a reasonable time frame (about 8 weeks in our case), Ramiro and the Skyline Metal Fabrication team was on site to start work. We found the entire crew to be friendly, considerate, conscientious, expedient, professional and hard-working. The team always accommodated our need to let our dog in the back yard to do her business without a hitch. They arrived on time and stayed until they completed what they needed to accomplish each day. They were also careful to clean up at the end of each day. Within five working days, our steel/wood privacy fence was complete. The work is of the highest quality, as the team focused on every detail, spending the time it took to ensure a beautiful result. Highly recommend Chicago Porch Authority! We got several quotes and they were significantly less…read morethan the rest. We were able to upgrade to the higher end Trex and still pay less than what we would have paid with other companies using a lower tier Trex product. I was almost tempted to go with a more polished company with lots of samples and flyers on hand, but I'm so glad we didn't. Frank was incredibly easy to work with - very timely, communicative, friendly, helpful, and honest. He saved us money where he could and made sure we got exactly what we were looking for. Peter (foreman) and team were very professional, speedy, tidy, and meticulous. We uncovered a rotted support beam and a roofing issue during the deck rebuild, and Frank took care of all that as well with his roofer, and took care of the additional Trex materials that were needed after we uncovered the issues and added to the project. The extra unexpected work only took about an extra week or two to resolve. The team even poured some cement for us to fill in cracked stairs while they were pouring cement to secure the deck posts. All paperwork was handled professionally through their admin contact via email, and Frank was always accessible by phone or text if we had questions.
