Just had our first visit to BJ's. Many things we liked. We found lots of useful items for my Fiancés cleaning business, and she scored some very pricey items that were on sale and paid about 75% less than she normally would have. We also found some OTC meds that were priced way lower than what we were paying at a local grocery store, so that was a plus as well. We are just a family of 2 and a dog son, so there were items that we wanted to get, but knew we would never use the amount. Great prices though. For a Family of 3-4 or more we could see this place being a go too. Overall, we really liked the store, thought Tally was amusing, IYKYK, picked up items that we can use at great prices, and loved the interaction with the cashier who helped us. She was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I wish I would have got her name so I could call her out for her customer service skills! I really wanted to love BJ Warehouse, however this location is apparently mismanaged. I have had several problems since obtaining the membership in January. I have had great difficulty in getting a dining room table delivered that I ordered online. It seemed to be lost in transit. Customer service was zero help. Today we went to pick up our online order for groceries and when we got home we realized half the order was not there. I called the store, they said the rest of the order was left in the back of their warehouse. They want me to come back and retrieve it. I feel like they should have delivered it. I asked to speak to a manager, they told me to call back tomorrow. They refunded me for the items they did not give us so I am without the groceries and yet again, ZERO cuzstomer service. read more

This is specifically aimed at tires. If you need new tires, RUN from BJ's. don't walk, RUN!! I have a second car - a Mustang - that I only drive in the summer - maybe 2,000 miles a year. I bought new tires and when was winterizing it, discovered a bubble in one of the tires. As it turns out, these Goodyear tires were discontinued, and so they ditdn't have any, but thought they may be able to get one from another store. Weeks went by with no follow up. oh, and they also informed me that the warrany limit is $200.When I complained, they said I should have 'read the fine print' -- in other words, go F%$$# off. The said they would check other stores, which they lied about and never did. I was able to find the tire at another tire store with one phone call. But it is going to cost $400 to replace, and they ware willing to give me only $200, I am have been polite and professional the whole time. If you call the store, press option 5 for tires and you will get voice mail 100% of the time. When I was finally able to get ahold of them, Dave, the guy I was dealing with, admitted to me that they don't call people back because there are only two people working there. Smallest in Metro Detroit and not that easy to get to from westside suburbs. Miles off of 275 and off the heavily traffic Ford Rd. Doesn't even have a gas station. Selection is not as good. I had many items with their coupons and even no shelf tag could be found. I was excited to have one of these closer but I hope they finally get some sense and put a bigger one with a gas station at the old Livonia Mall Sears store. Lots of space and easier to get to from all westside suburbs. read more

I'm not a fan of wholesale clubs just because the whole concept of paying to shop grates on me- however I'll join any of them for free purely for the gas prices. BJ's delivers on that! I paid $20 for a membership but will get $20 loaded onto my card once I spend $60. The selection was decent, the prices were decent- nothing really special going on here but nothing to complain about either. The app is great with lots of good coupons though, and again, the gas station is what really matters to me. All in all not a bad deal. read more

Discounts at a club like BJ's are expected, as are good service. But sometimes employees go out of their way to give Great Service! Sean Murphy, meat manager, is such a person. Needing a beef tenderloin for a special occasion this coming Sunday, and finding not one on the counter, I came upon Sean and he asked how he could be of service. After hearing my small dilemma,, he said that he had some coming in Saturday morning and he would gladly reserve one for me and call me when I could come to pick it up. He also offered to trim the filet's for me at 1.75 inches! That is by far beyond the normal call of duty in my book! I am an optimist, and I know there are many people like Sean out there. But it is up to us, the consumers, to give praise where it is due and tell all that they are out there. Sean, thank you in advance for your kindness and great service. Recently purchased a container of Wesley Farms chicken salad. It had not reached expiration date and had a dish for lunch next day. It was terrible. No taste, large clumps of chicken, not prepared correctly. This is not typical of BJ quality and recommend cancelling this product. Threw it out. read more

Normally I love BJs Wholesale, but tonight I was humiliated by multiple employees. I went through the cashiered line and not self-checkout, because I thought it would go faster. I had stopped in after work on my way home, so I am also wearing my work logoed scrubs. But the lady at the door accused me of stealing frozen dumplings, and it was right in front of the door and she made a big scene. Multiple other workers and shoppers kept making eye contact with me, people were upset they had to go around me to leave, and then a girl from the cashier area finally came over. It was maybe 15 minutes, but seriously, come on. I'm not going to steal a bag of dumplings, and let alone in my work clothes. During the pandemic I was a Healthcare Hero. It's not my fault they didn't scan everything. Why am I being treated like a criminal? The bag of dumplings is huge. No one can possibly steal that. There was no apology, just very rude, and condescending. I do not thrive in public humiliation. I shop there about once a week and have never had an issue previously. I'm just really done. I do not thrive in public humiliation. I'll just go to Costco. read more

BJ's opened in Canton in early September. Stopped in to check out. Not all that different from Costco or Sam's Club except it looks to be quite a bit smaller. Another key difference is their deli. You can purchase meat by the pound, half pound, etc where at a Costco or Sam's you can not. They offer grocery items, clothing, cleaning supplies, produce, wine, beer, liquor. And yes, they offer the $5 rotisserie chickens! This location does have an optical department, and tires, but as of the time of this review does not offer a gas station. Prices were comparable to other stores in the area. Staff were very friendly. They also offer money towards your purchase when you open a membership. I recommend! read more

Horrible service and manager is apathetic the location is out of the way and when we drove to get there, multiple things were wrong Support staff did not care that we were having a bad experience. We immediately cancel her membership after a blatant lie and deceptiveness on their online site with sure we had $30 in rewards but could only use 20 they had no explanation for why and then the manager proceeded to state that the reason they don't have pretzels is there is a shortage yet they have some in the frozen section at least at Costco, they will go store and sell what they stock who wont bjs? The manager came to the counter when we had a complaint but proceeded to ignore us and not address the situation in lieu of letting the subordinate handle it. So I made a pick up order to be picked up between 3-4pm went to pick up the order at 3:08 the order is not ready. So I call inside for 30 mins I man answered after 10 min and said let me transfer you to bulk or order dept and promised they would answer...not. Now we are about 25 minutes in I called each number no one answered except for Dave from the tire center went to get a manager to pick up but no manager picked up. At 3:38 the order was ready only half of it, then we can't get anyone to talk to get the order. This place is so ridiculous Dave told me they were shorthanded then don't allow outside orders. Or even better call the clients that made orders and let them know there is an issue and they can refund or come later. But instead no one answers the phone, no customer service, and anyone who made an just let them figure it out. The lady that finally answered didn't even understand the problem. Love shopping at BJs but don't recommend the deli counter! The miss working in that area was extremely rude to us (came in on 8/11/22) as we were trying to order what we would like to be cut. She kept rudely interrupting everytime we spoke & had a very nasty tone in her voice. It took everything to not walk away.
