I asked the clerk how fresh the coffee was, he said well its fresh and I proceeded to taste it by taking 2 sips from a straw. I told him the coffee was old, it tastes old and I was going to just toss it. He said okay well you have to pay for it now. I said excuse me? He said well you drank from it and you are now going to waste it. I said because it was old. He became argumentative and I said fine and gave him the money. He said well I will just charge you $1.00. He could have simply offered to make another pot of coffee. I have worked in customer service for over 15 years. If one of my employees treated any customer this way they would have encountered coaching or disciplinary action. He knew the coffee was old.....
