Lovely selection right now for the holidays! I stopped into this location for the first time because I was nearby for something else, just to kind of see what happened. I had stopped into another Home Goods the week prior to look at holiday stuff and not sure if it was the selection or the way things were organized, but I ended up leaving without getting anything because it felt a little chaotic and nothing really caught my eye. At this location, I ended up getting pretty much everything for the holidays! It's our very first Christmas in our house, so I was looking to add quite a bit to what I already had from Christmases in a smaller condo. Picked up many pieces that look great together for the fireplace mantel, stockings, ornaments, throw pillows, a cozy throw, candles, and some other knick knacks. So cute and festive and good prices. HomeGoods is the kind of place where you tell yourself that you're just going to stop by to browse for a few minutes then walk out with two gigantic bags of items from home décor to gourmet food and bath & body products. It's like its sister store TJ Maxx. There are so many things to browse, and the clearance section is awesome, especially after the holidays. The customer service here is better than the TJ Maxx in Canton. Some downsides: it could be better organized and it is smaller than the location in Novi. Besides that, I'm a fan, and HomeGoods is one of the best additions to Ford Road. It's one of the main reasons I even go shopping at Ford Road. read more

I love shopping at Homegoods, it really makes me feel good. Wide array of goods and well stocked store. They had lot of options for home decor. It is a good store for the purpose it serves. Anyone wondering if retail is getting back to normal these days need only check out this Homegoods on a Saturday afternoon. Fully vaxxed, my mom and I popped in for a little shopping for the first time in over a year and WOW was it hoppin'. But the good news is that everyone was masked and, with the exception of passing each other in the aisles or moving around the store, everyone was maintaining proper distancing. However, if you're not vaxxed yet or vulnerable, I'd definitely recommend coming during a more off time since there wasn't much by way of limiting the number of guests shopping. My mom and I were specifically looking for planters and this time of year they have a ton of them in a variety of colors, finishes, sizes and price points. I love HomeGoods, but I visited this location last night and was creeped out by the parking lot. Out of the entire shopping center, only the lights for HomeGoods were not on. So ladies, I would recommend going to this location during the day unless they fix this. Also as they were restocking merchandise from the truck, they left random carts of merchandise unattended in the aisles for customers to trip over/run into. I used to work at a TJMaxx and management would never let us leave unattended merchandise carts so that they aren't left to be in the way of customers. read more

This is my favorite home decor store in the area. If you love Pinterest this is the store of your dreams (with super affordable prices). They have beautiful, curated and organized displays, that will actually feel like that it is a part of your house. They have a kitchen area with all types of gadgets, dish ware, pots and pans and even Kate Spade collection hand towels. There is also a gorgeous selection of glassware and hand blown glass trays. If you are like looking for unique and right out of a Martha Stewart home catalog pieces. This is the place. There are lots of frames, art, furniture including hand crafted armoires. I could go on and on. The service is okay. The cashiers try their best but the staff in general doesn't seem to have much training in customer service. After three weeks of weekly visits to this particular location, my list is complete. Yep, you have to go often because they get new items daily. IF you find something you like, buy it ASAP. Don't wait, it won't be there the next time you shop. Plus they let you return anything (in new condition) within 30 days for a refund, or for store credit after 30. A great place to find relatively inexpensive finishing pieces (that bowl or chotchkie that completes your bookshelf, etc) or to fill a gourmet gift basket. read more

I like this location...it's clean and open and seemed pretty organized. I prefer the Troy store most of all but this store is one of the better I've been to and it wasn't overly busy. There's plenty of highlights but it's best to just go and see what you can find. What I love is that if you're willing to spend a little time you can find some unique pieces, and if you're a cook you can uncover some really quality kitchen gear. They have some basic items and some of the merch may be dinged up so keep a keen eye out but on the cheap this place is a gold mine if you're patiently browsing for good finds. read more

Some get outstanding stock or boast little secrets (like Kate notes, chocolate at this one!), others seem to run through the same tired collections of Yankee Candles and unmatched oddments I can never quite figure out how to incorporate into my decor. Canton wins for having a nice selection of varied items, and an addictive kitchen section that becomes a go-to stop every Christmas season for what man does not love knives, and what woman does not appreciate elegant glasses or some European tool that saves time? Like Costco, enter here with conviction. Purchase decisions need to be made at time of encounter, otherwise some other savvy shopper may well snatch up the item. If veering to the side of uncertainty, buy the object and take advantage of their return policy. I have more than once left something to chance, changed my mind, and lost out on whatever it was I wanted to buy. The changing selection means new trinkets show up, but you cannot rely on your favourite good hitting the clearance section unless you haunt the building. Cashiers are usually very busy and finding an associate for assistance can be tricky. On the other hand, they offer service with a smile, so win! read more

I love Home Goods!! This is such a simple yet amazing concept for a store. You can literally redo your entire bathroom in one shopping trip. I think the biggest con of these kind of stores is sales help. If you need to find something specific and have no idea where to locate it. The only sales help is the cashiers and they are busy helping customers complete their purchases. That would be my biggest improvements high people just to assist shoppers. I love the merchandise they stock and sell at their stores. The wall hangings they have many different themes and options to choose from. Aisles and aisles of shiny, soft, clean, beautiful, useful and unuseful things. Halloween is out in full armor here. I ended up getting a cool framed art piece that they only had one of. Will be bringing back the husband to buy more. Prices are pretty reasonable. Quality is excellent. Some items are one of a kind, maybe I shouldn't tell you about this little gem. read more

Homegoods has expanded their gourmet department for the holidays to two aisles! One aisle has nothing but chocolate goodies-great gift boxes from Belgium, Barvaria, Great Britain, Holland! The quality is exceptional. I found beautifully detailed chocolate Santas for $9.99, candy boxes for $12.99, chocolate champagne bottles for $9.99! The quality is better than Godiva, but what's even better is the price! 75% cheaper than Godiva! I've tried several of the brands and all were fresh and delicious! Plus, there are endcaps with baking supplies and cocoa and they are cheaper than Williams-Sonoma! Gourmet goodies on a Grinch's budget! Give without guilt! read more

Just visited Home Goods today. I was very disappointed at the number of people they are allowing in the store. It was packed for all of the sales going on. If social distancing is important enough to put "stand here" stickers on the floor at the checkout, why would you let 5 people down your narrow aisles. Literally I have never seen so many people in the store. In addition, there were tons of extra sale items on moving shelving units making it hard to do any social distancing. After a few minutes I just left, too dangerous health wise for me ( I was wearing a mask, like most stores are requesting). There was even an employee with a counter out front, but he was just letting everyone in. Even if we were not post COVID-19, there were too many people. Every checkout was open, which should say something. Normally I love my Home Goods store and their products, today it disappointed me. read more

DEAR CORPRATE: Store Manager Brandon is HORRIBLE at his job! He does not know how to deal with customers diplomatically. He is very rude and dismissive and completely lacking in empathy and clearly doesn't have any interest in emotionally connecting on even the most basic level with Your customers. When sharing my concerns with him, for every point I made he just countered with an irrelevant excuse. If you are going to be in management you need to have more skill than counting down a till at the end of the night...you need to know how to assist the customers that support your store and in a difficult predicament at least try to pretend like you're concerned (by your words and actions you showed that you absolutely have none) is for ALL parties concerned and come up with a way to try to offer some sort of solution to appease your customer. My experience made it crystal clear that Brandon is a manager in title only...possess no SKILL or wherewithal to handle or manage tough situations...NOT EVERYONE IS MANAGEMENT MATERIAL -YOU FAIL and you deserve an F! read more

Took my wife here for Halloween decorations. She liked the selection and pulled together a nice display for just over $100. Their items are unique and looked to be of good quality. Will take her back for future pillows, towels and general house decor. Ample parking and respectable hours. read more

I've never been here before and I have to say, I now get why they call it homegoods. It's officially my second home. I could spend hours in here shopping for house goods...and the best worst part, you don't have any service in the store. That could be a bad thing but majority of the time it was a good thing. Poor customer service Very disappointed. I recently purchased a metal flower wall decor from the Canton store. I was not given a receipt or even a bag for my purchase. When I got home and took it out of the box I noticed it was broken. I should have known better when the box was ripped and taped shut. I tried to return it the next day and the cashier offered me a store credit which was fine. She then called a "manager" over and she said there was no way to return it with no tag on the ripped box or the flower. I went with her to look for another one like it and couldn't find the same thing. I told her it was $29.99 and offered to show her my bank statement showing the purchase but she said no. I also pointed out another flower decor in the store with no tag or price sticker and asked how she could sell that one. There must be a way to look up the price or call another store. Again she said no, she couldn't call another store because she might have to call too many and that could take too much time. Poor customer service. Sadly I'm stuck with a broken item I can't use and Homegoods in Canton won't stand behind their merchandise. I went back to the store a few days later and the flower without a price tag or price sticker is still on the floor. read more
