Like the Wixom location this store is HUGE and the sheer volume of what they offer is mind boggling. Seasonal decor, kitchenware, serving ware, organizing bins, storage, faux plants....SO MUCH! There are several aisles, like a dedicated section of the store, just for wall decor/art. And there's a huge rug section organized by the primary color scheme. AND LAMPS!! So many lamps!! An aisle of curtain rods! I could go on. But basically anything you could want that would be for your home you can find here. I love coming here in the summer to find garden decor like lawn stakes, planters, and decor like solar lawn gnomes and the like. They also have a great selection of umbrellas and cushions for outdoor furniture. And if you need the furniture frames, they have that too. From sectional couches to single seats, lounge chairs and more. Prices are pretty good, too. It's not the most high end stuff but things I've bought for my yard are going into year 3 now and have held up pretty darn well during the various swings of Michigan weather. All that said, there's just something about this location that doesn't feel as polished as the other ones I've been do. It's always empty, not just of employees on the floor but also shoppers. I often feel like I'm the only one there. Some of the stock is a bit lighter than other stores, (though it still dwarfs other big box stores when it comes to home goods), etc. But overall, it's still my go to when I need containers to organize my pantry, need a new throw rug, or just want to refresh the decor in the house.

I wish this place had Weetabix, but they no longer carry it, and due to the viral trend, they are sold out all over. I loved the variety of interesting foods. I would come back for some of the candy and other food items. They also have some interesting home good items for sale, like a yakatori grill, couches, etc... The people working here were extremely friendly and chipper. The only issue I have is that their prices are higher than most places that sell the same products, so I would not come here for items like Buldak noodles unless you really cannot find them elsewhere. Unfortunately I was not greeted when I came in nor when I was browsing, which I feel is such a small thing that can really make a difference when shopping. The person at the counter was with another customer, but even just a quick, "hi, welcome in!" can be so nice. That said, I would come back in the future just to check out what they have in stock.

This is a warning to anyone that is considering buying furniture from Arhaus! Stay away!!…read more We recently moved and our dining room table that we purchased in 2023 is still under the five-year warranty. I just talked to somebody in customer service who told me that they cannot service it because they did not move it to my new hone. I asked her what I should have done and her response was to call Arhaus and ask how to move the table. That is the dumbest response I have ever heard! So according to her thinking I need to call each individual furniture company to find out how to move each piece of furniture in my home. She did however give me the name of the company that Arhaus refers to for issues after the item was moved by someone else. Also, the manager of the store where we purchased the table told me to call customer service and there wouldn't be any problem since it's still under warranty. I'm not blaming the manager at this store. They need to train their staff properly too.

I did just that on a recent evening in Depot Town, as I had some time before our dinner reservation. As we walked past the shop, we realized we had never stopped in and decided to run in and check it out. Billing itself as a modern general store, you get the vibe of an old time general store with the rustic wooden floor, antique cash register, and basic necessities next to said cash register. But throughout the store, there are unique and handmade offerings on every shelf, table, and inch of wall space. I took my time looking over everything that evening, filing away gift ideas for friends and family as I saw items I think they would love. I also loved the Michigan- and Ypsi-themed gifts to celebrate local spirit. When we heard it was sadly closing down at the end of the year, we made a special trip just to stop in here. It's a beautiful store with more than just gardening supplies. We picked up some toys for our cats as well as some Christmas ornaments and postcards as memorabilia. And I especially love how despite Luis the store cat passing away over 10 years ago, you can still find lots of references to him around the store. Really wish there was a way to save this place. :(

Now I've been one for over 12 years and…read moreI've been here many times over for goodies for my yard, gifts, treats for myself, etc, and it's become one of my favorite places in town so I figured I should finally give them good update! No matter the time of year I love visiting Downtown Home & Garden. My previous review stated, "I love any store where I can get tulip bulbs, a new bird house, a winter hat shaped like a Christmas tree, a new cookie sheet and a loaf of Zingerman's bread" and all that still rings true. But these days I also add national parks merch, gear for my dogs, holiday decor, kitchen gadgets and cookbooks and, perhaps most exciting for a Polish broad like myself, a variety of Polish pottery pieces. In the spring and summer months I can be found perusing peony bulbs for my garden, hummingbird feeders, bird seed and squirrel proof bird feeders, planters, plants/starters for my veggie garden, pest control and fertilizers, plus a variety of lawn decor and sculpture pieces, etc. Some things can be kind of pricey but you truly get what you pay for. Even after years out in the elements everything I've bought for my yard here is still in amazing condition, my plants from here always yield the most delicious fruits and veggies, and the little birdies are so happy with the snacks we provide them from their bins.
