This is a warning to anyone that is considering buying furniture from Arhaus! Stay away!! We recently moved and our dining room table that we purchased in 2023 is still under the five-year warranty. I just talked to somebody in customer service who told me that they cannot service it because they did not move it to my new hone. I asked her what I should have done and her response was to call Arhaus and ask how to move the table. That is the dumbest response I have ever heard! So according to her thinking I need to call each individual furniture company to find out how to move each piece of furniture in my home. She did however give me the name of the company that Arhaus refers to for issues after the item was moved by someone else. Also, the manager of the store where we purchased the table told me to call customer service and there wouldn't be any problem since it's still under warranty. I'm not blaming the manager at this store. They need to train their staff properly too. read more

Upon walking into Arhaus, you are met with so much lovely furniture and light fixtures as tempting options! Jenny met us when we walked in and was very friendly and yet willing to leave us alone to browse. However, it was very helpful to seek her opinion and to have her answer our questions as we made our way through the beautiful furniture presentations. All we did was browse, so I obviously can't comment on pricing or delivery. The store caters to upscale quality tastes and provides many possible fabric, leather and faux leather options such that it can be overwhelming initially. I think that once one narrows a selection down, the store provides complimentary interior design suggestions. Since we were in the early "looking" stages (and I was actually there to provide morale support for my friend in browsing furniture), Jenny was as helpful as she could possibly be. If you're prepared to pay for quality furniture with professional consultation, this place is definitely worth checking out! Lovely selections! read more

First visited their store at Sommerset. The table we were looking for was at this location. So from Troy, we drove to the Ann Arbor location. As usual, the furniture/interior specialists were friendly and helpful. It's hard to decide between Hardware Restoration or Arhaus...they both have a great selection of sofas, dining table and chairs set, wood accents, beds, chandeliers etc. We haven't repainted the house yet so we will be back to do more furniture stalking ;-) read more

Arhaus Ann Arbor is above the rest in customer service. I have now purchased several items from this store and their customer service can't be matched anywhere else. My husband and I spent countless hours researching what couch and dining set we wanted for our new home. I only had to go into the Arhaus Ann Arbor store one time and I knew that's where we would be spending our money. Not only are the furniture items of great quality, so is the environment and culture of this store. Karl is such a warm person who immediately makes you feel like you are an important customer to him. He spends time answering questions and explaining the benefits of Arhaus furniture. I can walk in that store and I would immediately feel comfortable - no matter if I was dressed up or in yoga pants and no make up. There is no judgment and they are simply there to help. Karl has consistently went above and beyond answering questions and never makes you feel pressured. Johnny is also an INCREDIBLE designer. You can feel his passion and see how much he loves his job! Johhny spent so much time (even without an appointment) helping me find the perfect table for my space. He had no problem that I purchased some pieces from another store (no snippy remarks at all) and even put something similar in his design so I could see how it all fit together. As the two of them were working with me, Karl even said I could personally text him a photo from another store and he would let me know if it matched my decor! What other sales person does that? I've never had that experience anywhere else. So, thank you so much Arhaus! I am a forever customer and appreciate how you've all spent your time making me feel welcome and that my purchases matter to you. I came into the store looking for several pieces of furniture to purchase. There were 3 sales associates near the entry and none of them acknowledged me; they literally ignored me as a looked on two levels of their store. There were no other customers in the store and now I know why. Off to stores that value their customers. The quality of the furniture is no go for me. At first glance this place seemed promising. Both of us went in and shopped around. We were greeted by a sales associate who started off super nice. We proceeded to find a couch we liked and ordered it. We came to realize it was way too big for our space. I contacted our sales lady via email who said to call or email her if we had any issues. We didn't hear anything back from her so I called directly to speak to her. At that point it was said that they are "short staffed" and it would take them a while to reach out to us for a solution. I finally got an email with 2 options that she said would work. Upon review of the 2 options we took our own measurements and realized they still wouldn't work. I reached out to the store and our sales lady was off. I spoke to several people asking just to cancel our original order so we didn't have to get a new couch that was too big. Unfortunately that's where things went south fast. One person said he rather have the sales lady deal with it. I then called back asking for a manager. She said she'll be glad to cancel the order. But then tried saving the sale by stating our sales lady was a designer and could come to our home. I'm thinking that's great!!! But why not offer this earlier? My wife and I had a fabulous experience at Arhaus in Ann Arbor, MI. Johnny was our design consultant, and he was very attentive to our needs prior to, during and after our purchase. He recommended a beautiful bar cabinet for our living room (which we love!), and he accelerated the shipping by several weeks by finding a piece in stock at another location. I had to include a review. Reading some of the negative reviews I find myself very confused. My wife and I took a look through the store and were dressed very low key for such an upscale store. Kat approached us and was very friendly and was very patient with our many questions and desire to look at many material selections not knowing if we were getting in over our head and would follow through with an order once priced. Well I we could not be happier, the delivery time was looking like early January 2020 and we received the order before Thanksgiving 2019. My only constructive feedback is the delivery agency was a third party that we did have to interface with directly, it would be nice if we had one contact and they would handle everything for us as customers. The staff is nice enough and their furniture is expensive but quality. We had bought furniture before from them and had a little better luck. My gripe is with their shipping. They outsource it and basically wash their hands of you once they ship it to the 3rd party shipper. We ordered porch furniture in March and was told we would have it by the end of June. They made us pay all the $$ in May. It is 8/27 and we still don't have the furniture. We paid for it and live in Michigan so we will probably get it in time to store it for winter. I would give it 0 stars if possible. We bought a $2500 sofa there in Nov 2014. I called the store when it was delivered to tell them it was defective. The salesperson told me to take delivery anyway, and she would call the department which handles returns. They say they guarantee satisfaction. THEY DO NOT. The couch has so many defects in workmanship, I thought there would be no problem in getting it replaced. I sent the contact person pictures, and we exchanged correspondence. She was rude and immovable. The store said it was not their problem, and referred me back to customer service. Arhaus sent a representative out to take their own pictures, and make an assessment as to the defectiveness of the sofa. They insisted it was ok under 'manufacturer's guidelines'. They would not tell me what these guidelines were, or by what manufacturer's organization they were created by. I was, and am still so upset, that after 20 years, I decide to get a new sofa, and am stuff with a defective $2500 lemon which was coming apart before I even received it! The skirts do not lie down; there is an unsightly seam in the back; the rolled arm has a metal support which protrudes from under the fabrics; the fabric on both arms along the cording is bunched and lumpy...I could go on. I WISH I WOULD HAVE GONE TO ART VAN, MERKELS, TYNERS or anywhere else. My best friend, who helped me pick it out, was also speechless at the POOR, POOR quality, and the RUDE, RUDE customer service. I ordered a couch. The saleswoman (Pam) told me it would take 9 weeks. Twelve weeks later there was still no news. I called to inquire. Pam said it would take a further 6 weeks, though she didn't know what the problem was. I requested a cancellation and a refund (they required 50% payment up front.) Pam said that wasn't possible, as it was a special order. I suggested strongly that it WAS possible, as they had not fulfilled their part of the agreement. Pam repeated that it was not. I asked to speak to her manager. She told me the manager was not in the store. Finally she (grudgingly) agreed to have the manager call me the next day. Then she hung up without saying goodbye. I felt cut off and insulted. I am not done. I want my money back and will continue to work to make that happen. I've already waited far too long to have a couch, and I can't wait any longer. I don't want their couch any more, I don't want anything from this store. They could have been pleasant and helpful and I would have gone back (they have some really nice stuff) but now I am so angry I never want anything to do with them again. Except get my money back. I've had a great experience with this Arhaus location! Esp. with Kat Gamby. I've conducted at least 3 major purchases with her. She was helpful, and very thoughtful about my design ideas. She made suggestions to me in a very subtle way genuine way, she was never pushy about anything. And she always acted professional. Customized furniture always has the potential to disappoint but that has nothing to do with the staff. Ms. Gamby Always explained all policies to me before my purchase and she kept in touch to update me about my orders. No apology, no phone call, nothing, so I wrote this to the customer service. No respond! I don't recommend to anyone this shop. I bought a set of table and chairs from Arhaus in AA 5 years ago. Stone top table with 5 chairs. The first set of chairs were fabric. After about 6 months the chairs ripped anytime we used them to sit on. I contacted Arhaus and we had it changed for winged back chairs with faux leather that I paid extra. After 5 years the side of the chairs where it meets the leg around the seating area had frayed beyond belief due to regular use. This is our dinet table and chairs that we use on a regular basis. I have never had furniture that ripped and frayed this quickly. For the amount of money they charge for their furniture their quality is very cheap and not reliable. I reached out to them and they absolutely refused to help me. I will not recommend Arhaus to anybody. You can purchase the furniture only to look at, it will fall apart once you use it. The manager refused to do anything for us including, replacement, temporary use or refund. Actually, attempted to charge us a 33% restocking fee to cancel the order that was estimated to be delivered in mid-January. Our sales person was great but the company is absolutely not customer friendly. Too bad, because this was our first experience with them and had hoped to be a customer for life. From getting 4 unacceptable tabletops to the service department losing prior conversations I had with one of their representatives, the experience was not only nerve-racking but down right aggravating. I waited to review this store because I wanted to make sure the whole process deserved 5 stars. And, it does. I am very particular about my home furnishings and I shopped a lot of places and compared a lot of furniture. Arhaus, in my opinion, has great quality pieces but more importantly, nothing run of the mill. Once I found Ozzie, my salesperson, the fun began. I told him my vision, and my price point and he scored! I got family room furniture, a dining set and barstools. There were a few hiccups along the way that are not worth mentioning because the end result is a 5 star rating and a super happy customer with awesome furniture! AVOID THIS PLACE. This place has really bad management. They say things are 'in stock' and 'white glove' delivery. Always ends up that things take 5 to 10 WEEKS to be delivered because they come from China or Indonesia - and are usually in poor condition. Very disappointed. I first thought that I found the perfect place to have good stuff in my new house. I am obliged to say that now, I had more problems than I ever expected. In our flat we first ordered a wardrobe. When it arrived it was not the good color wardrobe. First mistake, but we did not complain, because we know it can happen, we just waited few days to receive another delivery for the good color wardrobe. Then I ordered a whole bedroom set, one bed, two side tables, one wardrobe, on chest of drawers. After waiting nearly one month, the delivery arrived. First thing, the chest of drawers was missing. But we started anyway the whole weekend to assemble the other furniture. When we finally start to assemble the bed, we see than some assembling pieces are missing. This means that we can't assemble the bed totally. But the biggest surprise was when we have put the mattress on the structure. The bid was too big. On a Sunday at 11pm after assembling during the whole weekend the furniture, we see that there is a mistake with the bed size. I contact you then to explain the situation. After multiple emails, proofs that the bed is not at the good size, you "accept" that you made mistakes and inform me that I will be delivered asap of the missing chest of drawers and the correct size bed, you also tell me that you will take back the incorrect size bed. I wait one month to have finally a delivery from you. I receive my correct size bed boxes and my chest of drawers boxes. You take back the incorrect size bed already part assembled. Here we think that everything is solved. Obviously not. Even before that I had the time to open the first box, I receive a call from you. One of your support member, very upset on the phone, tell me that the driver informed her that the bed that had been took back from my house is not in a perfect condition. Of course it is not in a perfect condition as it had been half assembled. Plus the bed was in a good condition, even the plastic to protect the pieces had been left on it to avoid any damage. She however informs me that an inspection will be done and that you can charge extra money for that. Charge me for you mistakes. Is that a joke? "You could have wrapped it" she told me. Well, no, if you wanted it wrapped you should have asked your delivery men to do it themselves. "At least we did not leave you without a bed, so you can't complain" she told me as well. What? Thank you with an incorrect size bed with missing assembling pieces. Now we are starting to assemble the bed. And here, another surprise. Nearly all of the assembling pieces are missing (again!). So I've contacted you. Informed you of everything. Filled complaint forms. And I am still waiting for feedback since days. I am now sleeping on the floor instead of in my bed that I already paid. Do you think it is normal to be treated like this? I don't think so. I did not ask you for a further discount for these problems. ALL I WANT IS THE ITEMS I ORDERED AND I PAID FOR. I don't think that I ask too much. And I am still waiting for you to come back to me. Will this ever end? Should I now recommend you to friends? No I don't think so. if I could give 0 star I will. This comment is for the brand of Arhaus. I even cannot believe this happened. I just got back from my house to my office. I decided to let everyone know what happened. When this morning I got home waiting for them to deliver, that was the 4th delivery. I bought sofa, entertainment center and the dining table from Ann Arbor store and deliver to Troy MI. The 1st delivery, Sofa was fine. The dining table was defective so that the top and the bottom didn't match and could be installed. The two doors of the entertainment center were defective too. Then we had another delivery for the dinning table and two doors over a week later. When they made the 2nd delivery, the dining table was fine. the two doors couldn't leveled. there was one door leaning toward inside of the entertainment center and when you walk in front of it, it was shaking and made a lot noises. then, they made 3rd delivery. they replaced the defective door but the new door stuck at the rail. when they wanted to fixed it they pull and push several time so the rail wore out. the door still couldn't open or close smoothly. today this was the 4th delivery, we were told they would replace the whole unit. So yesterday night, we unplug the router, TV and cleaned up the shelves. This morning, there was one guy came first trying to fixed the old door still. apparently it still didn't work. then they said Ok they would replace the doors and the 2(bottom and top) rails. he got back to the truck and came back on the phone and with another guy holding that old door that he just un-stalled. after he finished the long call, he told me the warehouse made mistake or someone must made a mistake. They didnt have the door on the truck. they also didnt want to put the old door to the new trails. they wanted to replace them together. they put back the old door and told me someone from Cleveland warehouse will contact me. I am in troy Michigan. I dont know how their system work. but this was the first time I made purchase with them and this will be the last time also. how many times I already gave them to fix the problem. I wasted this morning for them doing nothing . they just proved to me they cannot. I am so disappointed. I think this is not just only one store's problem. It made me thought the brand Arhaus is a failure. Now this issue is still open. I called the sales rep, Kat, in Ann Arbor. She said she was busy and would call me back. My only service specialist is Kathy BOUCHER. She has coordinated my whole house from the wall paint to the side vases. All my furniture indoor and outdoor as well. All my area rugs, bed linens as well. I am so comfortable and in love with all my furniture and of coarse I want more and more. I receive so many compliments from houseguests. Everyone asks me to help them decorate their homes. LOL. I did not do one thing. Cathy picked out and coordinated everything according to my living space. I could not be happier. My only regret in my home is that I jumped the gun and did not choose my lighting fixtures from Arhaus. I did not know at the time what great fixtures Arhaus gas. I hope to replace everything throughout my home eventually to 100% Arhaus decor. Shopping could not be easier. Cathy picks out everything for me. I just call her and DONE! I'm a very satisfied fan of Arhaus and I tell all my friends about Cathy at Somerset Mall in Troy and the superior service and Arhaus quality and design. If only the rest of my life could go as well. The quality of the products we got was decent, but the customer service was beyond terrible and concierge was of no help as well. We ordered a settee, table and light from them. Both light and settee were not the correct measurements. We even had the Arhaus designer come out to measure everything correctly. Now Kat nor anybody wants to rectify this and I have a settee that I cannot sit in because it is too big for the table. So basically any online furniture store has better customer service then this place. They love getting deposits from you but they are very bad at helping when something needs to be replaced. I would never purchase from them again. Not worth the headache. Now I have a Settee I cannot use. I will not pay a new delivery fee for them to pick it up and the restock fee as they were the ones that measured it in the first place. read more

I shopped for a full year for furniture, and finally found the BEST living room couches & ottoman at Arhaus in Ann Arbor. The saleswoman was super friendly & accommodating, and the products were easy to customize & beautiful. In addition to this, the furniture actually arrived a few weeks ahead of schedule, in pristine condition. The delivery servicemen were extremely polite & professional. I LOVE the furniture! I had to laugh when I read another persons review speaking about how big/large the furniture is as if we all have a McMansion. I guess I would have to agree some of it is rather large. However, I have a different complaint. Two to be exact. I can't believe how expensive the furniture is, yet on Credit they only give you 6 months. Heck, even Paul's TV, Art Van and Gardner White provide 3 to 5 years no interest and their furniture isn't even a fraction of what you pay at Arhaus. They NEED to work on getting better credit arrangements. Also, I cannot stand the delivery wait time. Its absolutely ridiculous that NO matter what you order you are going to wait for months. Then after you've waited for months, they will call to advise you that your furniture is in and schedule a delivery and the delivery takes WEEKS!!! So ridiculous. I had placed an order for a desk chair at Arhaus Ann Arbor. Due to an inventory system mess up, the chair did not show up and was back ordered.
