So excited to find this store. We drove 45min to get here, and it was well worth it…read more The Detroit area has two kinds of furniture stores IMHO, those with cheap junk furniture and sales every weekend (you know the ones), and those that have quality furniture but obscenely exorbitant prices. Nothing in the middle! This store has quality, at what I would call reasonable prices for such quality. The showroom is beautiful with a great selection and comprehensive illustrative materials for reference. Sanjay and Sean know their suppliers, and are excited about the pieces they represent. The pride in their stock is obvious. And, they are very helpful with tips regarding additional brands they have access to. We came in for a bedroom suite recently, and were dealt with fairly and honestly. Delivery does indeed take a long time, but I've heard similar quotes while shopping at other stores during this crazy covid time. Many of their suppliers are amish and make the furniture on spec, so it makes sense. We can afford to wait, so no biggie. It's all probably going to mean we visit there again soon for our living room, too. If I remember, I'll update once we get delivery.

Now they've expanded in there and they've filled the space with even more beautifully curated goodies, new and "found." There's a bit of everything in here, perfect for finding a gift for a friend, family, or a partner, or a little goodie for yourself. They've got beautiful art prints from independent artists, handmade ceramics, plus stationery, a bangin' candle section, lovely housewares and textiles like throws, pillows, and tea towels, plus jewelry, the list goes on and on. Plus when you shop here you're really shopping small, because most of what they carry falls into that category. If you go to their website you can take a look at a list of the artists they carry in store, and I love recognizing names of friends and people I admire in their respective fields. It's a delight digging through all their offerings and I highly recommend you get there soon to do it yourself!

This is a warning to anyone that is considering buying furniture from Arhaus! Stay away!!…read more We recently moved and our dining room table that we purchased in 2023 is still under the five-year warranty. I just talked to somebody in customer service who told me that they cannot service it because they did not move it to my new hone. I asked her what I should have done and her response was to call Arhaus and ask how to move the table. That is the dumbest response I have ever heard! So according to her thinking I need to call each individual furniture company to find out how to move each piece of furniture in my home. She did however give me the name of the company that Arhaus refers to for issues after the item was moved by someone else. Also, the manager of the store where we purchased the table told me to call customer service and there wouldn't be any problem since it's still under warranty. I'm not blaming the manager at this store. They need to train their staff properly too.

Stopped by after a personal recommendation and was pleasantly impressed by the courteous, friendly and professional service and quality. They have a very beautiful curated selection at their store. I ended up ordering from a catalog without even seeing the product first, but rather choosing from swatches for fabric. We were shopping for a couch and this was a very hard task until we stopped at The Furniture Store. It's a family owned business and everyone we interacted with was very invested in the best outcome of our experience. Once we ordered the couch, they delivered promptly for a small delivery fee and we got a matching ottoman too. We are so happy because it ended up being the most comfortable couch we could have hoped for. Also the fabric is made of fantastic quality, especially because we have kids and a dog. Overall extremely happy with the purchase and the high level of communication and friendliness we received at this store. Highly recommend!

When we heard it was sadly closing down at the end of the year, we made a special trip just to stop in here. It's a beautiful store with more than just gardening supplies. We picked up some toys for our cats as well as some Christmas ornaments and postcards as memorabilia. And I especially love how despite Luis the store cat passing away over 10 years ago, you can still find lots of references to him around the store. Really wish there was a way to save this place. :(

No matter the time of year I love visiting Downtown Home & Garden. My previous review stated, "I love any store where I can get tulip bulbs, a new bird house, a winter hat shaped like a Christmas tree, a new cookie sheet and a loaf of Zingerman's bread" and all that still rings true. But these days I also add national parks merch, gear for my dogs, holiday decor, kitchen gadgets and cookbooks and, perhaps most exciting for a Polish broad like myself, a variety of Polish pottery pieces. In the spring and summer months I can be found perusing peony bulbs for my garden, hummingbird feeders, bird seed and squirrel proof bird feeders, planters, plants/starters for my veggie garden, pest control and fertilizers, plus a variety of lawn decor and sculpture pieces, etc. Some things can be kind of pricey but you truly get what you pay for. Even after years out in the elements everything I've bought for my yard here is still in amazing condition, my plants from here always yield the most delicious fruits and veggies, and the little birdies are so happy with the snacks we provide them from their bins.

Like the Wixom location this store is HUGE and the sheer volume of what they offer is mind boggling. Seasonal decor, kitchenware, serving ware, organizing bins, storage, faux plants....SO MUCH! There are several aisles, like a dedicated section of the store, just for wall decor/art. And there's a huge rug section organized by the primary color scheme. AND LAMPS!! So many lamps!! An aisle of curtain rods! I could go on. But basically anything you could want that would be for your home you can find here. I love coming here in the summer to find garden decor like lawn stakes, planters, and decor like solar lawn gnomes and the like. They also have a great selection of umbrellas and cushions for outdoor furniture. And if you need the furniture frames, they have that too. From sectional couches to single seats, lounge chairs and more. Prices are pretty good, too. It's not the most high end stuff but things I've bought for my yard are going into year 3 now and have held up pretty darn well during the various swings of Michigan weather. All that said, there's just something about this location that doesn't feel as polished as the other ones I've been do. It's always empty, not just of employees on the floor but also shoppers. I often feel like I'm the only one there. Some of the stock is a bit lighter than other stores, (though it still dwarfs other big box stores when it comes to home goods), etc. But overall, it's still my go to when I need containers to organize my pantry, need a new throw rug, or just want to refresh the decor in the house.

I wish this place had Weetabix, but they no longer carry it, and due to the viral trend, they are sold out all over. I loved the variety of interesting foods. I would come back for some of the candy and other food items. They also have some interesting home good items for sale, like a yakatori grill, couches, etc... The people working here were extremely friendly and chipper. The only issue I have is that their prices are higher than most places that sell the same products, so I would not come here for items like Buldak noodles unless you really cannot find them elsewhere.
