I dropped by DSW Designer Warehouse in Canton Township. They are located on the busy thoroughfare…read moreon Ford Road where you can stores, restaurants and shops for everyone. DSW is my go to spot for a special pair of shoes for my granddaughter or myself. The kids selection is amazing and they even carry Stride Rite brand. The adult and kids clearance section in the back of the store is well worth a look see for a great discount. The service is always good! I like to stop in weekly to a nearby DSW to donate an old pair of shoes to apply toward my DSW reward points. They add up quickly for dollars off of my purchases. Check out their Soles4Soul program. Try it. Seeing is believing! Tip: Download the DSW app to become a rewards member.

Weird vibes when I brought my kids here to get some shoes for my oldest.. They were trash talking…read moreabout their co-worker right in-front of me while checking me out. Then, when I asked about the sale for a couple bags which had sale signs above the bags, she told me they weren't on sale and that there was nothing she could do. I went to the Ann Arbor DSW and the bag was on sale. So, I knew I was correct but didn't cause them any trouble because I'm a good person. Unfortunately, since the terrible customer service and respect for their own co-workers, I will never return. That was my first time at that location. Not very smart of them as their job in retail is ending as these kinds of stores are closing because everyone is shopping online. I would suggest to have better customer service even if you don't like who the customers are because we are paying customers that keep you having a job!

I had a jacket and a purse that needed new zippers. (Well actually, the jacket just needed the part…read morethat the pull hooks onto, but apparently, one still has to replace the whole zipper.) I took my things in on a Friday and was told that they'd be done on Thursday. When I went to pick them up, the jacket was done but the purse wasn't. When I'd dropped the items off, I hadn't seen the "CASH ONLY" sign by the register, so I had to make sure I had money when I returned on Friday. They did a lovely job, and the people were friendly. It cost $18 for the jacket (which was only a $20 jacket to begin with!) and $16 for the purse. I don't know if those prices are good or not; they seemed high to me, but, on the other hand, I don't have the skill to do such repairs. But I wish the sign about not accepting anything but cash was on the door (although I understand why it's not); most people don't carry much cash these days, so it would be helpful to know the policy beforehand.

I will never go to this place for a repair again. I dropped off a specialty item 4 months ago. I…read moreasked specifically if they felt they could do the work to the item that I was dropping off and I gave them an example of what I wanted to look like. They said absolutely they could do it. I returned after a month and they hadn't even started it. I returned after another month and the owner still hasn't started it and I needed to walk him through exactly what I wanted to do. I returned a third time a month later and the owner said he hadn't started it and that he had other customers who came in recently and he was working on there repairs instead. At this point, I was starting to get annoyed and I said to him "well I'm a pain customer too." he said he would have it done in a day and I said I would be back in a few weeks because I was leaving town. I just went in there today, another full month later and the item was not done correctly. Apparently the owner was out sick and the woman who runs the register was the only one there. Certainly a bit frustrated. I said to her he didn't do it right and just to tell me where I owe them for the little bit of work that he did do and I was going to take my items with me. She said she had no idea what to charge me because he was out sick. I explained that they had my stuff for four months and that I've been back multiple times and she can't even give me a price to pay. I said it was ridiculous that I would have to come back yet again. She got really upset and said.Fu@king eh. This isn't the kind of thing he normally works on. And we don't know what we're supposed to do with it. ". I told her she didn't need to swear at me and that I had asked them before I even left at the first time if they could do it and they assured me they could and then they proceeded to not do it and I also tried to explain to her that I was in there last time, and he had told me that he was doing other people's work instead of mine She kept talking over me and she kept getting louder and louder and I finally said just tell me what I owe. She yelled at me that she had no idea what I owe. I said just give me a number. I'll pay it so I can leave with my items. She picked my items up and threw them at me and said just take them and get the hell out. I told her that was fine and that I would not be back. As I was walking out, she was screaming at me about how I have no idea what it's like when you're in a business and people are sick and they can't help the customers and she continue to scream at me as I walked out the door. lol. Little did she know I own my own business. Anyway, the way these people treated me was absolutely ridiculous. If they didn't feel they could do the job they should've just told me the first time I went in. I will never ever go back there.
