I kept it paid off every month. I went over the limit - and paid the entire amount off in one payment and I have not paid one dollar in interest. When I made the last payment, they placed a hold for 7 days! I could not get them to release the hold, the representative said it could not be removed. The sale ends today. I felt angry but I cancelled the account. It is unfortunate because you get good deals and I like their clothing. As for the store shopping experience, the last time I was in the store, the sales personnel followed me while in the store and while I tried clothes on. (Ann Arbor store on Washtenaw) I feel disappointed but I guess I don't need anymore clothes.

The prices are a bit high, but honestly fairly reasonable when you look more carefully at the quality construction of the clothing and the more unique cuts/styles on offer. The only time I have been in this mall before this trip was before the pandemic when I arrived in town having forgotten my Apple Watch charger at home. We went straight from DTW to the Apple store here, purchased one and left. We had time to look around on this trip as we had promised our granddaughter a trip to the mall on a rainy Sunday. As we walked in, I had an overwhelming sense of recognition of a store attempting to pass as a Nordstrom, a brand that we lost at home a few years ago during a downsizing event, leaving Colorado, my home state, with just one store left, and in Denver. The layout was so similar, I could find particular categories of goods at a glance. Even the rack choices were the same, the signage fonts too. Each area had a formally dressed staff member, waiting for customer questions, often with their hands held at their sides. And always smiling, not unlike statues. I had worked in a different company and in Colorado years ago in retail management but with a more casual engagement sales model. If no customers actively in sight, my staff always found things to do, arranging sizes or colors of items that had been moved out of place on a busy day. I also noticed that the prices here seemed far more affordable than I usually saw in Nordstrom's. The other thing I noticed was that I did not recognize most of the brand names and the feel of the fabrics was of a lower quality. I did not see styles that would have been expected in Colorado and not surprising as I had never shopped in the Midwest. Regional differences are very real. My granddaughter and my husband wandered over to the children's department, not to look for clothes but for a fun object and she found some trendy Squishables, one of which she convinced her grandfather to purchase for her. It was purple and came in a box, is the only description I can offer. But you really could squish into anything you wanted. It made her happy and that's what counts. If I lived in town here, I cannot imagine that I would come here again. You'd probably find me over at the REI store where I have shopped in the past, even for dresses! I once found one in my size when here on an earlier visit, which was sold out at both my home REI and their Seattle warehouse. I promptly bought it and I still have it though it no longer fits. It's one of those things that never goes out of style, is beautiful quality fabric and well-constructed. I am wearing it in my profile picture in the "Hiking at Boulder Falls" picture from a few years back. I am still hoping that someday it will fit again. I'm glad I saw this place so I can really appreciate regional differences and I will say, when I actively engaged staff, they were very polite.

Turquoise is the theme color of Maurice's decor. The store entrance and the bags for merchandise are both this beautiful color. Maurices is a one stop shop for moms and daughters. They offer clothes from girls sizes 7-14 through women's size 3X The only thing they could do a little better is to have more sales. I bought one item and spent over $30. I definitely plan on coming back to look at the clearance rack.
