Boneless wings & fries
Kevin Z.

Gets the job done. I enjoyed my wings, I think they are decent value for the price. The fries were actually very tasty. Service was a little slow at times but mostly good. Ambiance is normal, nice vibe to eat a chill dinner and watch sports on their TVs.

Service was typical of this area, (just enough to get by). But I have to say the food was probably the worst I have ever had at BJs. Ordered a glass of wine, it was so old that it came out with a head on it like beer. Ordered the sampler, cheese sticks and the wings were good, the artichoke dip was tasteless and the sliders with grilled onions came out like leftovers, with no grilled onions at all. My wife ordered clam chowder that tasted spoiled. I talked to the manager and went over the meal for training purposes. They took the wine of the bill because I didn't drink it. We were immediately seated unpon arriving. We got our drinks fast and order placed. I ordered the kids Mac and cheese with my fruit for my daughter. I ordered pork chop meal, I got chili for appetizer, roasted mashed and roasted vegetables. The roasted vegetables were mainly mushrooms and im allergic so I gave it to my mom. Overall food was 8/10. Strawberry lemonade was 10/10. Its nice inside with a lot of screens. We were able to watch the cowboys game.

(Starter Salad) - Fresh Mozzarella And Tomato Salad

It has been many years since I was last at a BJ's. I believe I was on vacation in Temecula, California that summer in 2014 and fondly recall the delicious Pizookies and the Mediterranean Mini Pita Chicken Tacos. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by Quaylan who handed us menus and seated us at a booth. Aaron was our kind and attentive server who ensured we had everything we needed during our meal. On this night, I was dining with my Mom and childhood BFF for over 30 years - we go way back. Mom and I each ordered an unsweetened tea, and my friend just had water since her tooth was bothering her. I ordered the same thing I ordered that night in California in addition to a starter salad. The tomato, mozzarella, and arugula worked quite well together; it struck the perfect balance of flavor with the contrast of the balsamic vinegar. The Mediterranean Mini Pita Chicken Tacos were exactly as I remembered them. The texture of the vegetables and the softness of the pita bread was perfect. I plowed right through both dishes and decided to take a mini pizookie to go. My Mom also ordered a starter salad. My friend ordered the chicken and pasta and although she said she liked the chicken, she mentioned she wasn't too crazy about the pasta. Maybe she just ordered the wrong thing. Food, Service, and Ambiance were all on point. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and I would certainly return for a future visit to try different Menu items.

BJ's Kickin' Chicken Sandwich

Went here with the family for dinner. Overall we enjoyed our meals, the only downside was service was crazy slow for some reason. I don't think it was the waiters fault it seemed like he was running around stressed. However he was very apologetic and did his best as he could, we just had to keep waving him down constantly. The manager was of no help either which I found to be odd, as he came by and even said sorry things were slow but didn't really do anything to help the server or to step in and bring us what we need or take our order or anything. It's a great sized place to catch a game with lots of tvs in the bar area, or to come with your family, friends, etc for a bite to eat. We started with something a little different, by trying the avocado egg rolls. Being a big avocado fan, we were excited to see what they'd taste like. They looked good, but not going to lie....huge disappointment, they lacked flavor. Literally all you tasted was the avocado no flavors added in. Definitely could add some flavors to really make this better, it's missing something. That being said, we ordered the kickin chicken sandwich and the shrimp tacos. The sandwich was a good size, and had a big piece of chicken on it, but lacked the "kickin" flavor we were looking for, wanted something with a bit more spice to it, but nothing some additional sauce couldn't fix. The tacos had a good creamy sauce on them and were good as is. The real star of the show as expected though was the Pizookie!! If you've ever been to a BJ's you know what I'm talking about, and if you haven't, you're missing out! LoL They had multiple options but we went with a salted caramel one, with NO regrets! Warm, gooey, and the perfect dessert to end the meal. Lack of stars purely from the experience with service, and the food was okay, but I will be back, if nothing else, just for dessert!

Enlightened Mediterranean Chicken Bowl
Harsha S.

I came here for lunch on a weekday with my colleagues (about 12 of us). There weren't many people there for lunch, but from what I could tell we were the largest group there. They quickly found some tables for our group since we didn't have a reservation. We found out later on that it was our server's first day working there. He was very patient with our orders and was quick to put those orders in. He also explained the lunch specials and provided his own experiences of the food here. I ended up ordering an Enlightened Mediterranean Chicken Bowl and shared a Salted Caramel Pizookie with a colleague. The Bowl itself was small and a lunch size. I was a little hungry but the portions of the protein to carbs were appropriate. The Pizookie was very sweet and neither I nor my colleague were able to finish the dessert.

Always a great experience. Being a regular and servers knowing us by name and our order is always a pleasure. Thanks y'all for always taking care of us!

The place started filling up quickly as rush hour approached. The bar was packed with people coming in for happy hour, and there was already a wait for seats, so I'd definitely recommend getting there early. Across every meal - from the redfish to the salads - the food has been as tasteless as styrofoam. I risked the oysters on my first visit, but after realizing the low quality here, I wouldn't dare touch their raw seafood again. Consistency doesn't exist at the bar, either. During a 2.5-hour happy hour, I ordered three Lemon Drops. They ranged from great to absolute swamp water depending on who was pouring. Lunch today was the final straw. The $14 "special" cheeseburger arrived on a stale bun with dry, unseasoned patties--and it doesn't even come with a side, just half a pickle. I've given this place more than enough chances, but they haven't brought their A-game once. Save your money, skip this strip-mall quality, and head to a reliable mid-range spot like Pappadeaux or Anaya's instead. Or, even better, get some good seafood and a great recipe and enjoy at home. This was absolutely not worth it.

The food is consistently excellent. We went for dinner on a Saturday night (reservations are highly recommended). The wife had the chicken as a main entree. It was outstanding. The chicken was smoky, tender, and moist. It has a bevy of vegetables that are cooked perfectly. It comes with a side and she got the baked potato with everything. She loved everything about this entree. For me, it was an easy decision. I LOVE their wedge salad and started with that. The price has gone up a bit but it remains outstanding. For some reason, the waiter gave me a small but it was fine. The small in 2026 is $7.99 and the regular size is now $11.99. For my entree, I ordered from the appetizer menu and got the crab cake. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the crab cake. It has to be the best in Dallas. It is one half pound of pure crab meat, no filler. The price has gone up to $26.99 so it is not cheap, but it is outstanding quality. The cake was perfectly cooked and the crab was sweet. It comes with three dips but to me, I want to taste the crab so I did not use them. The kid had the old fashioned fries and devoured them. Our server, Mark, was attentive and efficient. Service was excellent as usual. Overall, this is one of the best restaurants in Dallas and IMO the best in the line of Kenny's restaurants. I cannot wait to return.

Just as exciting was the opportunity to spend time with our friend and catch up. Since it was well past the lunch rush, Renny's was pleasantly quiet. We were seated immediately and settled comfortably at our table while waiting for our friend to arrive. Our server, Carlos, greeted us warmly and asked if it was our first time dining at Renny's. We assured him it wasn't. We started with a couple of glasses of their incredible iced tea, a special blend called Apricot Chardonnay. It's delightful. In fact, the restaurant sells it in the bag, and we always take one home with us. Our friend arrived just in time to look over the menu. With so many tempting choices, deciding wasn't easy. My wife, a devoted chicken salad sandwich fan, chose the chicken salad sandwich, and our friend quickly followed suit. I ordered the Friday lunch special: fried cod and fries with a side of jalapeño-infused coleslaw. During our visit, Kim, the manager, stopped by to introduce herself. She was incredibly personable and made us feel right at home. As we enjoyed our iced tea and caught up on all the latest news and gossip, Carlos arrived with our entrees. I sampled the chicken salad and can confirm that it is outstanding. The seasoning and mayonnaise are blended perfectly. My fried cod and fries looked picture-perfect. Carlos asked if I wanted malt vinegar, and my response was an enthusiastic "Of course!" Fish and chips just aren't complete without it. What a fantastic lunch we had. The ladies were all smiles and declared themselves happily satisfied. My fish and chips were among the best I've ever had. The cod was fried to perfection: crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. In a few months, we'll be traveling to Alaska, where there's supposedly a restaurant that serves the best fried cod anywhere. I'm willing to bet that Renny's cod would give them some serious competition. It was phenomenal. The fries were excellent, and the jalapeño coleslaw added the perfect touch. Even though we probably shouldn't have, we couldn't resist ordering dessert. I chose the Crème Brûlée, while the ladies shared an apple tart. The Crème Brûlée was incredible, especially paired with a cup of black coffee. They kindly gave me a taste of the apple tart, and all I can say is wow. The apple slices were cut paper-thin, likely with mandoline, and the puff pastry was baked to perfection. All in all, it was a stellar visit to Renny's. If it weren't so far from home, we would undoubtedly become weekly regulars. A special thank you to Carlos for his attentive, friendly service and to the entire team for making our lunch so memorable.

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.

Yes, you should split it. It was big! Plenty for two to split as an appetizer easily or you could add some filet to it for an entree. Will do that for lunch. And probably split that too! The giant bacon cubes and quality blue cheese crumbles are my reason for living. Entrees we tried (this time. We'll definitely try more items next visit): got THE crab cake. It is big. More crab than cake, which shows the quality. Wasn't a fan of the butter sauce, I thought it was too heavy for the delicate crab and would just ask for it plain with just some fresh lemon but the cake itself was perfect with jumbo lumps. Came with fries. Fries and dipping sauces were excellent but may ask for a different side option to keep it lighter. My daughter had the miso glazed salmon which came with potato puree with buttermilk....omg the only fault with it is that there wasn't nearly enough, and a jalapeno slaw, which was crispy and creamy with a little kick to it. Perfection! We also tried the side of creamed corn. Not sweet. Definitely savory and not too heavy, which was nice, with a little mild pepper kick.
