We brought a group here for a graduation dinner and everyone absolutely loved it! The restaurant has a really cool vibe and tons of seating! Menu is huge, so everyone is bound to find something they like, and we really appreciated that they had a special gluten-free menu for those who need it. There's spinach and artichoke dip was a great appetizer, and you can never go wrong with the mozzarella sticks! They bring Generous portions so this is great for sharing with four people or more. Everyone loved their entrées, all the food came out really hot, which was awesome. You cannot come here and not get a pizookie for dessert and wow do they do a great job! The ultimate tip is if you get the triple chocolate, you can have them make it with vanilla ice cream because it normally comes with chocolate ice cream. Our waitress was super thoughtful and told us this tip and it was a game changer! All the pizookies were so hot and fresh and really, really delicious, we joked that instead of birthday cakes, we should come here for this dessert instead read more

First time trying out this place. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Though this holds true, we did have to re-prompt repeatedly for standard provisions such as napkins for half our table, small plates for our shared dessert (that never arrived), and ketchup for French fries (odd that this didn't come automatically). As simple as it is, the interior was also oddly dark, to the point that seeing the somewhat disorganized menu was difficult and inconvenient. We arrived around 5:30, beating the dinner rush. There were plenty of staff around, but weirdly the small handful of groups (maybe 7-8) were all stacked at tables once next to the other, instead of spacing folks out to not have to dine one on top of the other. One of our two ordered beers arrived flat. The jumbo pretzel and beer cheese arrived hot and was delicious. The pizza left something to be desired. Pictures of other deep dish pizzas here have that iconic melted cheese pull, while ours arrived over cooked, bland, and dry. For a not inexpensive chain restaurant, I was left feeling like there was much to be desired. read more

I always have a good experience at BJ's! The food is really good, the portions are generous, and there are so many options on the menu. The service has always been friendly and the atmosphere is fun and casual. It's a great place to go with friends or family, and I especially love getting their famous Pizookie. So pleasantly surprised at our experience! Great service, good food and amazing bartender. Not from around here and this place was great to watch the football games. Amazing selection at bar. read more

Excellent bar, great food selection. Karl makes a mean rum and Coke, and was very enjoyable to talk to. I'll definitely return.

Walked in and heard "we are having a staffing problem so several items aren't offered tonight." Received flat sodas. Thank goodness that the bar tender was our server and managed to get us in and out. Management needs to take a good look and reset! read more

The bartenders was awesome and had a great attitude. Good atmosphere inside and a lot of staff. I was worried when the food came out in less than 5 minutes from when I ordered. The steak was pretty tasty, but the ribs and vegetables were really tough. read more

Took 25 minutes to get drinks (waters) to the table, let alone put an order in. Unless you have all day, I'd go somewhere else.

For the food you get, it's a little pricey but it's a chain, what do you expect? The food is consistently good, and the pizookies are the cherry on top. Drinks were tasty and I'd definitely recommend to keep this in your back pocket for last-minute needs or if other plans fall through. Nice servers and relaxed ambiance. read more

Hmmmmmm not the best. Wings were ok, asked for extra crispy but they were not. Drinks were good and service was very good. The problem was we ordered 2 of the Seared Ahi Tuna Salads and they must have been running out of the tuna. Look at the attached picture of the salad in their menu and look what we actually got!! The tuna quantity was like 20% of what they show! I told my wife we must have been served the "barbie portion" of the tuna. It just not right they mislead the customer. If service was not good I would have given zero stars. We will not be back. read more

Stopped in on 5-20 for lunch around noon. Ordered Ribs, steamed broccoli and fries. The ribs came out cold like they had been sitting out overnight. The broccoli also cold, fries only thing half warm. Asked Waitress for refill on my tea. 15 minutes later she comes back after I had asked another server for a togo box. read more

Our server, Jackson D, was polite and on top of service! He filled our drinks without us even asking, smiled, overall great! We arrived right before 8. It was not busy at all and yet somehow both specials, which started at 4, were completely sold out which was disappointing. The Food presentations were nice... But my chicken Alfredo came out cold and the sauce was just "off". I couldn't even finish half. I wouldn't order it ever again. Yuck. Regular Wings were very good. read more

My first visit today and I ordered a Wednesday burger special and cup of clam chowder. Our server, Coty helped me navigate the menu and bought out our food quickly. My Clam chowder serving was generous and tasty - with big chucks of clams (no baby clams here!) Our burgers were cooked perfectly by Dave Vaughan - shout out to Dave for 'acing' a complicated order. Guy deserves five stars all on his own! As we left, the kitchen manager asked us to come back. Only drawback was the metal serving trays draw heat from my French fries. A wonderful first time experience. I will be back. read more

Man!! I've tried to make this place great...but I can't. Tonight, I just can't with the soup cause it's too salty and the parm chick is suppose to be crunchy; yet it sucks. Last time I got the Avocado Egg Rolls and they were brown and not crunchy. It's just ok over here. It never had been since they opened. read more

This is worst place ever! Don't go here. They brought me a cold 40 dollar steak and I asked them to warm it up and they made another one so salted I couldn't eat it, I left there with no dinner 2 hours later and a 114 dollar bill minus my piece of crap meal, that I could not eat Great freaking Bday. Thanks a lot you POS! read more

The food here is good but nothing extra special. Definitely came and stayed for the pizookie. I love the pizookie. The actual meal was pretty good but nothing to write home about. Our server, Lilly was over the top helpful and really on top of what we needed. I'm definitely going to ask for her next time we come.

So much potential, but our server was slow, inattentive and made us question whether we want to return again. We arrived for an early dinner as we hadn't eaten all day in our travels to Cville. Immediately were greeted and seated. Good sign? Nope. Our server was nowhere to be found. We weren't greeted in a timely manner. When we finally were, he (the receipt said Drew was our server, but not sure if that was indeed his name. He was shorter, medium-dark complexion, brown eyes and little bit of dark hair) was pleasant enough and finally got our drink orders. He paid more attention to the booth next to us that had about 5 ppl seated. We got our drinks then placed our order. It even took a long time to receive our orders. Once they were delivered, he never came out to check on us until we were 2/3 finished. One of the orders was completely incorrect and we finally were able to let him know. He took what was left back to the kitchen and they verified that the sauce was not what was ordered. What he did do correctly was offer to replace and he gave us a complimentary dessert. That was a kind gesture for the mistake. We had to wait to ask for refills, for the check, etc. We weren't going to even order dessert bc he took so long every single time he would come to our table! We saw many other servers talking and moving about but he was nowhere to be found the majority of the time. We are generous tippers, but this time he was only tipped a small amount bc of his egregious inattentiveness. Also, the restaurant was practically empty. He told us the kitchen was very short-staffed and he just picks up the orders they prepare. I used to be a server many years ago so I'm aware the servers don't necessarily prepare the food, but they can certainly come out within 2-3 minutes of the food being served to ensure all is well and correct! Not sure we will be returning as our schedule is most often very tight between travel and other obligations when we are in town. What could have been a quick bite, turned into a lengthy fiasco. read more

We came in for a late lunch. Lily took great care of us! Thank you for a great dining experience!

I have been here before and it was much better. There were not too busy and we were seated quickly. That is where the service went downhill. Our waitress was rude. We had to ask for silverware and when it came it was dirty. Drinks were super slow to arrive as was our food. Hopefully this was an off night but we may not come back. The decor is typical American bar looking. read more

I just wanted to do a quick shoutout to our wonderful and attentive server, Karl S. On our way back up to Nova from Smith Mountain Lake, we stopped for lunch with our toddler on Memorial Day around 1 or so. We ordered both of the salmon entrees which were cooked perfectly! Both delicious. Our son loved the pepperoni flatbread as well. The avocado egg rolls came out a little burnt but Karl noticed and was quick to get us a redo. Really wonderful service at this location and the quality of the food surprised us! I will also note, the restaurant is child friendly :) read more

Lily was absolutely amazing we will definitely be back due to her amazing service. She kept checking in and was very friendly.

Lily was great!! Good service and really good with the kiddos at our table. Everything was speedy and she knew the menu really well.

I'm only 15 years old, but I'm smart enough to know this place SUX! We ordered our food as a group of 4 at 1:30, and ended up getting served at 2:45 only after waiting for our waitress DAISY (who we witnessed give multiple eye rolls to other customers behind their backs) to check on us after a 30 minute period of neglecting us. Daisy likes to call everyone her friends, but secretly she hates them all. We are of victims of Daisy's severe verbal abuse. The food, overall, was definitely microwaved and/or spat in. My mother ordered a salad that didn't match what the menu entailed at all. It was missing about 1/3 of what was supposed to be in it. Me personally, this place is a complete mess. Over $115 for food that, in the end, left us all hungry . BJ's, I hope you take my words of wisdom into consideration, and rethink your choices. read more

We had a mixed experience overall, but I really want to recognize our server, Lily, for being absolutely amazing. She was kind, patient, attentive, and handled everything so professionally despite the long wait times and issues happening around her. You could tell she genuinely cared about making things right for us, and we truly appreciated her effort and positive attitude throughout the night. She honestly turned what could have been a very frustrating experience into a much better one. I hope management recognizes how valuable Lily truly is to the restaurant. Thank you Lily for making our dining experience better. read more
