In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. My husband says it was the best shrimp and grits he's ever had! My steak tips were equally as yummy. The sauce was out of this world good!! The fries!! Jesus what was that sorcery ?? YUMMMM. BOTTOM LINE: The old Plain & Fancy communal eating place disappeared after 2017. A faux Plain & Fancy section replaced it. Whole area, including town of Intercourse, Pennsylvania is a big tourist trap. Amish are gone, Mennonites remain. My only complaint is their water, it has a horrible flavor unlike anything I've ever had and really hope they correct that at some point.
