The place is an amazing, huge space. Really cool decor and good tunes. There's a community room and a sensory room!! Lots of seating. We were immediately greeted by many friendly faces. There's baked goods, smoothies, coffees and teas. And they're good!! My favorite part is that all the employees are beautiful humans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Walked upon this little coffee shop while exploring downtown. I loved this beautiful town and the ambiance was matched. The employees were all amazing. We had a lovely gentleman at the front helping with the orders. We opted for some coffees and some merch. The whole set up was great, but the downfall was truly the coffee. I absolutely love this place! The space is super big and open and the servers were so awesome! They use playing cards as your ticket for your order which I thought was so creative. Such a cute coffee shop! I didn't even know this coffee shop existed until I was walking around downtown. Bitty & Beau's looks kind of small when you walk by but then you walk in and it's very open and spacious. I loved the decor and the wall with the US map. They provide little red pins that you can put on the map to show where you're from.They have a nice merchandise area with lots of different items to look at and choose from. There is a good amount of seating on the instead and some covered outdoor seating. I ordered a chai tea latte with oat milk and it was good. I also had grabbed a bagel with cream cheese. They have some really good looking desserts! I just love how this business is so inclusive and everyone was so friendly. While in the area, I needed some coffee and Bitty and Beau's was within walking distance so I gave it a shot. As soon as I entered I was greeted with kindness. This coffee shops story is very intriguing, almost so much that they could make a movie from it. The coffee is fantastic, far better than the free coffee served at the hotel i stayed at. It didn't matter if you ordered decaf or caffeinated, it was on point. Especially considering i came here the days leading up to the snow, the heat from the coffee felt great on my hands. The ambiance of the place is fantastic. Big area for groups of people, and a private room for those that don't do so great surrounded by the masses. So I had virtual meeting and at the last minute realized I didn't want to have the meeting in my car. So I looked for coffee shops that had private rooms and found this unicorn! I was able to reserve the room online. So when I arrived at Bitty & Beau's, I thought parking would be a challenge because it's downtown Winston but it wasn't. I found street parking about a block away. Just make sure you have some coins for the parking meter. As soon as I walked in, I saw merch and I'm always excited about merch. They had some shirts that said not broken and radically inclusive. I got a radically inclusive tumbler. I was greeted as I walking up to the counter. I ordered my frappe and they gave me a playing card for picking it up. That frappe was delicious!! The community room was amazing! I could still hear the music in the room but it wasn't a big deal. WiFi was great and I was able to have my meeting in comfort. Those office chairs are so relaxing and the room had plugs for my device. I loved everything about this coffee shop from the time I arrived to the time I left. read more

What an awesome coffee shop! But as it's advertised, it's FAR more than just a coffee shop. Yes. It's open, spacious floor plan is very welcoming. Yes, the coffee is delicious! All the merch is chic and appealing. But the REAL draw is the beautiful way they are making a space for intellectually or developmental delayed individuals to be valued and celebrated as they should be! The staff I encountered were very friendly, exuded joy and clearly took pride in their work. The young man, Cullen, that had handed me my treats was just bubbling with joy and that brought a smile to me face after a long day. A nice place to stop in when you are in the downtown area for a coffee and maybe muffins or cookies. The blueberry muffin I had was so fluffy and fresh on the inside w a nice light sprinkling of raw sugar on the outside and paired well with my hot cappuccino. There was no line and not crowded when I checked it out Saturday early evening. So I would suggest dashing in if you have some extra time to kill or before heading to the Stevens Center next door for a night of entertainment as it is right next door. Its good to feel good about supporting the staff of developmentally challenged persons working at this shop. They are happy to be of service and providing a service to the downtown community. She had recently heard about Bitty & Beau's and the good they do for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The original shop opened in 2016 in Wilmington. I've been past B&B's several times, and I finally couldn't resist the chance to get a cup when I had to stop for some business nearby. I used to be a frequent coffee drinker, but now I typically only have it occasionally because I do love it. Coming into the cafe, I didn't realize how spacious it is, and the place is squeaky clean and very vibrant with decent lighting and nice trendy aesthetics. The service was absolutely terrific! The staff behind the counter were so nice and attentive too. I got a hot latte and a blueberry muffin for my wife. She liked her muffin. I tried a bite of it and would agree it is quite tasty with a nice crunchy topping to it. They serve it to you hot as well, and it stayed warm after the short drive home. The coffee was as good as plenty of other high end places that would charge me a good amount more for the same thing. I'm impressed, and I'll be back next time I need to fulfill a coffee craving! read more

Such a fun & welcoming place on 4th Street! I first visited Bitty & Beau's for a Yelp event for Valentine's Day. They captured my heart when the staff gave out handwritten affirmations on a little heart to all the customers with their coffee! The staff is always kind, and they have some really fun flavor syrups - I tried the toasted marshmallow this time and loved it. Dogs are welcome! My favorite coffee shop! Great coffee and even greater employees. Every time I go in there, everyone is just so happy, nice and friendly. I wish I could maintain such an outlook at my job. Really neat vibe as well. My working theory is that it is actually impossible not to leave this place in a far better mood than when you went in. One of these days I will do science and prove it, but until then, I guess you'll just have to take me at my word. Which is admittedly not that much, but I try. What a cute place! I found it when I was looking to spend an afternoon in Winston Salem and wanted to put free Wi-Fi to do some work for a change of scenery. I love how upfront and open they are about their mission to help those with disabilities be more valued and included in the community. Some of their staff members are people with disabilities and so friendly and sweet. I love the atmosphere, which is spacious, hipster-esque, and clean. There are some places to sit inside and outside and I believe there also might be a conference room. Also love that there is easy access to outlets (they are a little hard to see, but they are there!) Nice place to stop by for coffee drinks, smoothies, or light snacks. One cool thing to note about this place is it's dog friendly, making it the perfect place to grab a drink if you're walking your dog. Something I found neat was they use playing cards as your order number. I got a 6 of diamonds, and when my order was ready they called out 6 of diamonds and I handed the card back. Another cool feature is the map on the wall, as it has tacks which you can place where you're from on it. So decent food and drink, good customer service, and a cool vibe over all. They provide a sensory room to get away from the noise plus a conference room that can be used for a couple hours at no extra cost. There's a few high top tables, two small 4 people tables, and a couch with lounge chairs as well as seating outside, at the bar, and half booth tables by the door.
