Oma's is still hands down one of my favorite small town coffee shops! Staff is so friendly and welcoming! Coffee is consistently delicious! I typically order a caramel macchiato and it never disappoints. They have a wide variety of pastries, fudge, and other tasty snacks. I enjoyed a raspberry cream filled donut and it was tasty! There are plenty of tables and seats, and they even have a small room with trinkets and such to shop around! I love supporting this coffee shop and almost always stop when driving through town! read more

This was my second time going here. This is the newer location in Walnut Cove. Last time was ok. Got a muffin and Ham, egg, and cheese on an English muffin. This time we went there for lunch. I wanted to try it out. It is local and new to us, location is new. I got the Ham and Cheese on Rye. It was ok, but the bread was definitely not rye, more like wheat, very soft. Biggest complaint is that my wife ordered chicken salad sandwich, but it is basically an egg salad sandwich. There is nothing on the menu even saying it is made with eggs. We couldn't see any chicken in it. We asked and they said that's how they make it, but clearly it was an egg salad sandwich. You can see in the pictures. Wonderful staff and amazing coffee! They host bingo nights. They have a shop in there to pick out little trinkets and clothes.

Better than Starbucks! Love this little place and the fact that it's locally owned. You can call ahead and order and it will be ready when you get there. They now serve soup and sandwiches which are wonderful. Every time I go in there there is something new to try. The frappes and smoothies are perfect. Cheesecake are the best. read more

I had heard a lot of great things about the coffee here so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a frappe and walked around the shop a little while, they have vendor booths set up with various items. I had drank about half of my frappe when I realized there was a hair down in it!!!! It grossed me out so bad I threw the rest of it away and that made me sad because it was a delicious drink. I'm sure if I had taken it back in they would have replaced it but I had already left and I had a meeting to go to. read more

We ordered the salad pocket. The veggies and pits were fresh. One of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. My husband liked his roast beef on croissant. And my picky son ate all of his Turkey and provolone on croissant. We ordered white chocolate latte. It wasn't sweet enough to my liking, but that's just preference. I just bought a home in Walnut Cove, NC and wanted to find a local place to knit, read or even work ( I am a social media marketer). And when I entered, the lovely gal was immediately receptive, kind and did not mind my questions about the area and so on. Immediately, I learned that she was the owner. Excellent!! This was my first visit and I was greeted immediately upon entering the shop. The owner, Cathy, was there and was very welcoming. I had a caramel macchiato iced and it was hands down the best I've ever had. Was better than star***ks. You actually taste the rich, beautifully roasted coffee beans. Just cruising along through walnut cove and I spied this coffeeshop "omas" okay I'm game for a latte and it's not a big chain coffee shop. I'm a big supporter of small business and I'm a coffee addict. This is a quant place limited pastries a big plus for me. The back there are small rooms where local merchants and artists have things for sale if you feel the need for a "I love Walnut Cove" tee shirt. After coffee there are antique shops you can browse around in. But let's get back to what's really important, the latte? It was really good and for a fair price. Small latte $2.95, medium $3.25, and a large is $ 3.55 and that's non-flavored. Flavored add .30 cents. There's plenty of room to sit and enjoy your drink, or you can browse through the rooms and check out all the items offered for sale.
