Remnants of French Toast BLT and Grilled Cheese Combo, which we demolished!
    Grace K.

Came here with my boyfriend for brunch on a Saturday, he lives nearby. The wait was a totally reasonable 15 minutes! The overall experience was great, with cute indoor and outdoor seating and kind workers. We got the French Toast BLT and the Grilled Cheese Combo. Both were fantastic and miles above average, and I've been to a lot of brunch places. We WILL be returning and this will be our go-to spot going forward. This is not your average brunch food. French Toast BLT was the ultimate meal for sweet and savory lovers, with maple syrup on the side for dipping. I got it with an over easy fried egg per the recommendation of another Yelper; amazing addition! It's also a huge portion, you will have enough to save for later. Highly recommend! The Grilled Cheese Combo is an amazing comfort food meal that will make you want a nap after. Pesto grilled cheese with nicely spiced tomato soup for dipping! My boyfriend couldn't finish it. We shared and I loved it as well! Could see myself ordering both our meals again in the future. Definitely check this place out for brunch if you're in the area!

Breakfast "enchiladas" were more like chicken flautas with an egg on top. Very tasty. And filling.

It was a busy morning due to a power outage in town. I was offered a seat at the window ledge but declined (bad knees). I was then offered a table if I was willing to wait. Seated 15 minutes later. Barely acknowledged. But order taken promptly. Food delivered swiftly. No coffee refill, no water refill, no asking if my meal was tasty? It was. Though more like chicken flautas, then enchiladas. And was given change for a $20 in fives. I could tip $2 or leave $5 for an $18 bill. Normally, I'm a good tipper but there was barely any service. That said, it's clearly normally a friendly place. There were plenty of regulars. I clearly was here on an off day. I love the kid's toys. And I have dined outside where it's not so loud. And had better service.

Came here on a Saturday around 9am and were lucky to be seated right away. The place is cozy and the staff were friendly. Service was quick too and the food was delicious (our group got the spinach, mushroom and feta omelette and stuffed French toast). Everything was freshly made, would definitely recommend this spot.

Bittersweet Kitchen might have a wait, but it's worth the wait. And that comes from 4 hungry runners after the Philly Half Marathon. We found that the servers and restaurant owner/manager were both extremely kind and attentive, and while waiting, we enjoyed the interior decor. The restaurant itself is slightly small, but it makes up for that space with its bubbly atmosphere and homey interior decor. I liked that peaceful dining experience I ordered an omelet with a side salad and biscuit and found the food to be hot, filling, and not-too-greasy. As a girl who lives in the South, I'm used to my brunch being way too heavy, but Bittersweet Kitchen hit the balance just right. My friends who ordered the huevos ranchos, the tomato soup, and the spinach omelet also agreed with me. We also split an order of the pumpkin donut holes for the table, which were delicious and not too sweet! Next time I am in Media, I will definitely pop back into Bittersweet Kitchen for the great service, ambiance, and delicious food.

This was my first time at Bittersweet Kitchen, and I had high hopes. Maybe I went on an off day, but my buttermilk pancakes tasted like that stuff you used in preschool. I think it was called Mod Podge. I prefer light, fluffy, flavorful, and fresh pancakes. The bacon was tasty, although not even close to hot. I did tell the waitress that the pancakes were underwhelming so she took them off my bill. I purchased a blueberry scone and that also had no flavor and was the softest scone I've ever had. I'm passing, but everyone else in the restaurant seemed happy with their food.

Amazing food and great service in a small well decorated breakfast & lunch cafe in Media right by the Courthouse. Definitely gets crowded and you will probably wait for a table but well worth it. Homemade food made with great care and some unique choices. Good menu and has specials as well. Staff is very attentive. Prices are a bit high but not bad when you account for the food quality and portions.

Great lil spot! Shotgun review: - Good coffee - Friendly service - Quick experience* - Tasty, imaginative food** - Plenty of gluten-free options - Nice bar/window seats with street views *We went on a Wednesday morning at around 10 AM. I bet it's much, much busier on the weekends. **I couldn't decide between a sweet or savory experience, & when the server suggested that I could do both, I was delighted. I tried their French toast BLT on gluten-free bread & I'm very glad I did. As promised, it was both sweet & savory. Totally delicious & very filling!

This is a cute spot in Media for breakfast and lunch. There's street parking. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It smells delicious in there. We tried the Bittersweet Kitchen eggs and Avocado Toast. Everything was delicious. They have Coke products.

This place is worth the hype. Everything tasted amazing, even my picky friends were impressed. The wait staff were friendly and everything came at a reasonable time, considering how busy they were. I'll definitely be back!

Ask the Community - Bittersweet Kitchen

    Do they take reservations?

    Do they allow dogs?

I've never seen a dog in there, so I'm guessing they don't. But there is outdoor seating and I'm betting it's not a problem to have a well behaved dog out there.

Originally, I went on the website to see all what was featured & the photos themselves looked too good to be true ( or so, I thought.) I had only decided on the Banana Milk Tea (not pictured) before actually heading to the store & figured I'll just pick the food at random when I arrive. Upon entering, I was greeted & said I'd need a minute as the menu was of decent size. The cashier had mentioned to me that all of Mochiatsu Franchises are different so the ONLINE MENU's WILL VARY. I did see online that there was a "Nutella Croffle" which I absolutely love Nutella but this particular franchise location did not carry that flavor. **Be sure to check your franchises location for their own menu** Anyway, I decided on a Strawberry Croffle & 2 donuts. Figures, I can't remember which 2 flavor donuts I picked but, OMG now this was some dessert! So glad I didn't end up at Wawa for some ice cream like I normally would have. These were freshly made, flaky & soft. The Croffle was sticky & a little harder to pull apart than the donuts (it's supposed to be) but man these were such a good ending to my night. The inside of Mochiatsu is cute & I'd say it's a relaxing atmosphere. If I didn't go later at night I'd of stayed to have my tea & get some work done on the computer. I'd of pictured the Banana Milk Tea but it was so good I chugged it on my way home. Needless to say, I'll be back & if you haven't gone yet I'd definitely give this place a try!

After walking down State for about a block, we settled on 320 as a good place to stop to get something that would be tasty but also quick enough to get us in and out the door in enough time to be on our way but also provide a wide enough selection for the three of us to select something that we each wanted. Being fans of 320 Market in Swarthmore, I was used to this place when we went inside, although it is markedly different from the location that we usually go to. The space is a little bit more sparse and feels less like a market than the one in Swarthmore, but the staff is still nice, and the colors are bright, and the selections are still wide and vary across the spectrum of flavors enough to make everyone happy. I ordered pierogis at the counter as did my daughter, and my wife ordered spanakopita and then we were told to take a seat anywhere we liked. I do know that they obviously had to prepare everything fresh which is one reason that we like 320, but I also know, the spanakopita is coming from a much larger sheet and the pierogis only have to be fried and plated. For some reason things were taking an extremely long amount of time. The spanakopita came out relatively quick but was a little cold in the center. Still tasted delicious, but not ideal. However, the pierogis took forever. Not sure why because this was prime lunch time, around 11:30 and they weren't busy. Either way, when they did come out, they were played brilliantly, but I had to ask the wonderful guy at the counter to put them into containers so that my daughter and I could take them with us due to our fine constraints. He was more than happy to help and did his best to arrange them nicely in the containers, but for some reason the manager seemed to have a problem with the fact we ordered them to sit down and then asked to have them put into containers. He protested to some extent, albeit not directly to me, but when I looked in his direction alarmedly (which I'm not sure is even a word, lol) he simply stopped and went back to his other conversation). Even after our fifteen minute drive, the pierogis were superb and obviously made by hand from scratch. While I do like the other 320 Market location better and go there much more frequently just based on proximity to my home, this one was also good. I would go here again, and if you are in Media and need a good place for well-made delicious foods and interesting beer and wine that you won't find anywhere else, this is definitely your spot to go. There are many different choices of restaurants in Media to select from, but this is one place that is set up a bit differently, more like a "market" as described in its name. Go and check them out if you've never been, I bet there's something there that you'll enjoy!

They also carry a smaller selection of fresh produce and grocery items, along with a bunch of unique snack choices you won't find just anywhere.
