This is easily gonna be a 5 star place in the near future. We found out about them shortly after the 4th of july, while at Vault Brewing and seeing they were gonna be at said brewery's beer fest (which I think is happening soon). We loved the name and decided to check them out. After getting some sad family new the last weekend of July, we drove back up to the area and b-lined here to check out the beers. We had dinner plans so we only got a pretzel to nom on, but it was deep fried and so tasty!!! We each got a flight, trying 7 of the 9 beers that were on tap, and 4 of the ones we got were in cans. We loved everything we had, but the Cait Sidhe stood out as a winner and one we will protect and cherish (and would welcome a direct shipment of) as it's a lightly smokey chocolate cherry stout that's super well-balanced. The vibes though! cat art everywhere. The stuff in the bathroom cracked us up. Can't wait to come back!

Another great meal at the kitten. The chef was able to sub the lemon sauce for marinos which was much appreciated.

I first saw this brewery pop up on my Instagram page earlier last year and immediately wondered where it was located. It turned out to be five hours away, so I thought, "One day, if we are in the area, we'll visit." Well, that day came sooner than expected. If you follow me, you know that I love making wine with cat-themed labels inspired by my cats. This brewery takes the cat theme to the next level. Everything is cat-themed, from the plates to the entire vibe. Cat videos play on screens, and cat decorations are everywhere. Even the cocktail menu is cleverly named "Wine and Cat-tails." They serve hushpuppies on the starter menu, but I'd suggest calling them "hushkittens" instead, lol. The drink names are playful and fun, ranging from the Grumpy Cat (a jalapeño, blood orange whiskey sour) to the Giddy Kitty (a raspberry, lime, mint gin martini), and other creative names like Catmopolitan, Scratching Post, Hemingway's Porch Rocker, and Bloody Claw. We decided to sample a variety of their drinks. The Twisted Whiskers (6% ABV) is a New England IPA with a hazy golden color, a subtle creaminess, and a citrusy hop flavor upfront. The Dewclaw, also at 6% ABV, had a strong malty flavor. We also tried the Raspberry Wheat, whimsically named Boujee Cat, which delivered a refreshing hint of raspberry on the nose with minimal tartness, making it a solid ale. Lastly, we sampled the Kuroneko, a Japanese-style lager at 5% ABV, which pleasantly surprised us with its amazing taste. Everything in this place is cat-themed, and it's fantastic. We even took home a glass as a souvenir. We wanted to buy stickers and cans, but they told us they were out. :( next time. I highly recommend this place, the place is cat theme from the restrooms to the plates, if you love cats like me then it will be the icing on the cake. Cheers!

Kitties galore! This adorable location was the main purpose of my wife + I's trip to the west side of the Delaware and was an excellent spot. My wife ordered a flight which involved a nice winter warmer, a German wheat beer, a west coast IPA, and a lager in which she all enjoyed. The service was great and the two servers that helped us were very nice. The aesthetic, as you can assume, was all cats and I loved how over the top it was.

We came because of the name. We stayed for the beers. Oh, and the food was pretty darn good too! So I am 100% serious when I say we drove out from Manayunk to check out this brewery thanks to its catchy name. None of us had had any of their beers before and it was the week between year end holidays so we had some time. Having not had any of their beers, I loved that they offered flights (3 or 4 beer flights). The price for a few 5 oz pours wasn't insane, so if you got one you didn't like, it wasn't a big deal. We all got flights. I selected the cider and a few of their light beers since I typically drink ciders and sours. I also loved how they did up the Christmas beer with multi-color sugar on the rim. As we wanted to spend at least as much time in the brewery as we did the car, we ordered dinner. Solid portions, fair prices, and good quality. I enjoyed the Falafel gyro. I will say their 'katchup' has a bit of cinnamon in it, which some at the table liked and others did not. Service was friendly. While we arrived to an empty brewery, it was pretty much full as we were ordering dinner. Service was consistent with a smile the entire time. I wish I could remember our waitress' name to give her a shout out. We will be back - although we will probably need to wait until another holiday to make the trip. Honestly it is not that far of a drive, so maybe we will rally over a weekend sooner than I think!

Pickle Pizza - garlic and dill, with pickles, scallions and cheese .... Not bad, shareable size

Hung out on a recent Saturday night for a bday dinner and the inside taproom was packed. They seem to have outgrown their building already, but I suppose that's a good problem to have! Pros - I think the name and the atmosphere are appealing. The ownership and employees seem very dedicated to their business. The inside is nicely decorated and the seating was well placed and of good quality. As busy as they were you could see drinks and food coming out quickly and the entire staff were collectively on top of cleaning up after guests. The cocktails were well reviewed by the people in our party who ordered them. The waitstaff was friendly, prompt and gave great recommendations. Very personable. The beef taco's were a hit. The meat on the wings was tasty and the beer cheese was delicious. The pickle pizza on special was a creative sharable pizza that turned out to be quite a conversation piece. The bathrooms were clean, easily accessible and very roomy, with creative cat art on the walls. Cons - The fried pretzel was small and hard. I know I'm not the vote for all of America here, but a soft pretzel with their delicious beer cheese would have been the jam! A bigger sized pretzel would have been even better. The chipotle aioli wing sauce was not spicy at all and totally lacked any punch to it. Prices were a little high, but everything seems to be anymore. Beer wise - The offerings I tasted were average to slightly above average. I tried three glasses of their dark beers - my favorite was - Whiskers, Whiskers, Nancy Whiskers was the best of them - Aged in barrels from Ashlynn Distillery in Morrisville, PA, our traditional Irish Stout takes on subtle notes of oak, smoke and chocolate. I thought it was a very much of an interpretation of the style with a hint of spicy whiskey. The Choc-Oh-Cat was a decent sipping milk stout with a chocolatey aroma and the Minka Porter - was average and had hints of coffee and nuts. I'll try their other styles on another visit. I'd love to come back and have a seat outside along the alley and enjoy experiencing this place outdoors. Morrisville is lucky to have a well run brewing operation!

MORRISVILLE, PA: we crossed the border over into PA and found a great place right over the Lower Trenton Bridge called Bitchin' Kitten Brewery! A craft brewery with a cat-themed vibe, they also have a full menu (with vegan options), and full bar! Well behaved and leashed dogs and cats are allowed at their cute outdoor patio and there are fun events throughout the year to stop by for. Another wonderful discovery in the area!

Menus and 10oz Shipbottom Cider Donut Hard Cider

Enjoyed every meowment at Bitchin' Kitten. Came here because of the unique name and for the interesting choices on the menu. We arrived just in time for Happy Hour and started off with the Shipbottom Cider Donut Hard Cider. Seriously the best cider for fall! We agreed on the fried cauliflower as our appetizer with the general tso sauce. It was super crispy and the pieces were huge. It was filling so I held back on eating more because I wanted to leave room for tacos. I haven't been able to find a place that serves vegan birria tacos but Bitchin' Kitten turned my dreams into a reality. They were made with chickpeas and mushrooms. Overall, the tacos had a lot of flavor but the shells were a little bit too crunchy and broke easily, causing the filling to fall out. We could tell our waitress was busy and was serving every table in the outdoor seating area, but she was still very kind and attentive and even talked my friend into getting cheesecake for dessert. The cat decor inside, including the restroom doors with male and female cats on them cracked me up. Merch was also available. The hoodies were cute. Friendly staff, easy parking and reasonable prices can only mean I'm due back for another visit in the future.

This brewery has it all. Incredible beer, delicious food and such fun branding. Worth a trip!!

Dog and cat friendly on the patio!

Staff was amazing and considerate regardless of the fact that we came during an event (the event was indoors and we were still able to hang on the patio). Food was fantastic as were the drinks. Our waitress let us know the bartender was literally working their first shift, so we understood why the drinks were a bit slow to come out. Overall 9/10 only because of the wait time on drinks and I absolutely would go back again. PS pretzels were FIRE and so was the sourpuss.

Such a cool little place with a small but delish menu. Sat at the bar since I was there by myself. I really like hard cider and they had two on tap. They let me taste both. They were really really good. I got the chicken tacos and a salad on the side. Both were soo good!

    Onion Rings with Spicy Dill

I have to say that this place is epic! I was in town for the weekend to see some Broadway shows, and I decided I stay in Morrisville and take the train into town. Looked up places to eat the first night (of 3), and Bitchin' Kitten was listed first. I have two rescue cats, and the name alone was catchy enough to get me in. But after reading their story, I was hooked. I enjoyed a Hemingway's Porch Rocker with the pretzel appetizer while sitting out on the patio during a lovely spring evening. Service is steady here, and everything arrived timely with no overlap in courses. I decided to try the special which was the Thunder Burger Tribute...a tasty burger with a slice of pork roll. Instead of dessert, I topped off the evening with a Cat Cafe. The only thing I didn't care for was the house catsup because I felt it was too sweet for me. After finishing the meal, I went inside to look around. The ambiance is cozy, but fun cat art is everywhere--even the restroom where a helpful kitten presents you with butt napkins and another watches your every move! Also really enjoyed talking to Tony, the manager, about the place and the mission. He is a very friendly guy, and it's obvious he enjoys what he does and getting to intact with patrons. And he does it well! Finally, I have to give a shout out to Tori who was working tirelessly to provide service to most of the restaurant during the evening, and she also did an outstanding job! I was in NY the second night, but on the final evening of my visit, I decided to go back and enjoy another meal. It was another beautiful evening for the patio, and I started with a Scratching Post. Decided to try the onion rings tonight, and the spicy dill sauce is fire! Also ordered another pretzel this time with beer cheese. Had an order of fries chicken sliders which were really really good as well as chicken tacos which were even better. Tony greeted me at the door when I walked in and welcomed me back, and Sam provided great service throughout the evening. Got invited back for holiday festivities on Monday, but sadly, I'll be on my way back home. There isn't a single thing I ate here that wasn't delicious. While not a fan of the catsup, I still enjoyed the chance to broaden my horizons and expand my palate. I know without a doubt that when I come back again for more shows on Broadway, I will stop here again and enjoy another meal. More small towns need cozy businesses like Bitchin' Kitten, and you need to do yourself a favor and go visit Tony and his crew for a wonderful meal and a great time!

One of my favorite places. Great beer and food. The owners and staff are great. Always checking in to make sure you have everything you need. They offer weekly specials. I have loved every food item that I have ordered. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. The outside area is dog friendly. Definitely give them a try, you will love it!!! I have included a few pictures over a few different visits.

House beef burgers with bacon jam and the onion ring upgrade.

Kept getting bumped into by other patrons hanging around our table, hanging on our table, etc. There were only 2 people working the bar with such a crowd that it took almost 20 minutes just to get someone's attention when we wanted to settle up. We wanted to stay longer but it was just way too crowded. I really dont know if I'll go back.

Out front, every table was packed shoulder to shoulder with what appeared to be a local running group in post-run celebration. Laughter, sweat, and IPAs filled the air. Inside, however, it was the crowd was sparse, save for two small groups competing in Harry Potter trivia, an event we hadn't realized was happening. After the first round, one of those tables gave up and left. That should have made the place quieter, but the trivia host's amplifier made sure it did not. Even from the far corner, it was nearly impossible to hold a conversation without shouting. It was as though someone had mistaken the volume knob for a test of strength. The bartender, to his great credit, was friendly and quick, the kind of person who makes you feel like maybe the night will work out after all. The beers themselves were fine. I tried the Pineapple Express milkshake IPA and the porter. Both were serviceable, neither was memorable. The brewery allows outside food, which is a small mercy. Being on Farnsworth, there are plenty of good places to bring something in from. They also sell simple snacks like chips and jerky, a practical touch that suits the space. Still, the whole experience left me puzzled. The place seems to want to be a neighborhood hub, but it can't decide whether to be a quiet refuge or a loud event hall. Empty yet loud, welcoming yet difficult to linger in. I wouldn't drive out of my way to return, but if a friend suggested meeting there, I'd go. I'd just hope the trivia host had the night off.

Hard to tell exactly when it opened, as their website offers scant information, but they first started posting on Facebook in 2011 if that is anything to go by. They don't have a large footprint in the NJ brewing scene as they don't distribute to any liquor stores or bars/restaurants (they don't even offer beers in cans to go), and they don't do any big events other than the typical karaoke or trivia nights. What they do offer is a nice place to hang out in an old historic building right on the Main Street in the downtown area, and a solid lineup of beers. One thing that makes them stand out is a great selection of beers on nitro. From my experience with NJ breweries, you're lucky to find a single beer on nitro. At Village Idiot there are seven of them, most of them dessert stouts like a cookie butter white stout and a salted caramel milk stout. All that we tried were delicious and not crazy high in ABV like other dessert stouts. Flights are only $10 which is pretty cheap compared to other NJ breweries. Of note is that as of November 2025 they no longer allow outside drinks including water bottles like Nalgenes and Stanley Cups. Too many idiots sneaking in alcohol, according to their social media. Overall it has a bit more of a dive bar vibe only frequented by locals rather than a traditional NJ brewery, but the beer is definitely good enough, and the surrounding Main Street charming and quaint enough that I would definitely return.

Each time we've visited, we've ended up in great conversations with other customers, which adds to the experience. Unfortunately, what keeps this brewery from a higher rating is the bartender. He tends to focus mainly on the regulars, which makes it difficult at times to get his attention. On top of that, his frequent use of colorful language--especially loudly dropping the f-bomb multiple times--took away from the otherwise relaxed vibe. It wasn't said in anger, but the constant repetition was distracting and made the room feel less comfortable for us.
