Everything you could want in a restaurant: kind and attentive waitstaff, lovely ambiance, fantastic food (steak tacos, carnitas tacos, Skirt Steak Entrée) , and Chorizo Quesadilla. We loved everything about this place. We'll definitely come back! Oh, just a tip: they don't have a proper children's menu, so they'll give you the lunch menu, but just make sure to be explicit w/ your order if your children are picky eaters. Mine didn't like all the cilantro on his carnitas tacos and my other didn't care for the lettuce and tomato on her quesadilla.

Great spot, family owned and run, food is solid, priced well and good variety on the menu. Great surprise!

Something Nutty cocktail

This is a hidden gem in little Pine Bush. We are gluten-free and there are many choices. We've been here five times and it is always delicious. The plating is beautiful; the flavors are like a party in your mouth. The chicken and mole is the best chicken I've ever had. Meat is tender and falling off of the bone. My husband loves the vegetable risotto and gets it every time. If you come before 4:00pm, get the fish tacos from the lunch menu even the rice and beans have a lot of flavor. Cocktails are made with care and attention to detail. If you like coconut and rum, get the Something Nutty cocktail--delightful. After a day touring Watchtower Farms, come here. You won't be disappointed.

Very friendly service. Able to accommodate our group of 10. Cozy interior. Burger and fish was good.

I'll start off by saying we found this little gem through Yelp. I have been excited to try it due to the high reviews. We live thirty miles from this restaurant. Let me tell you it was worth every mile. We came here for a late lunch/early dinner type situation on a Saturday after doing some shopping in a nearby city. It's tucked away in a little corner of a side parking lot off main street. Parking was not an issue, however they do share the lot with other businesses. Street parking is also available. When we arrived we were greeted and seated immediately. We were able to choose our own table which was nice. We were the only patrons there at around 4pm. Menus were immediately provided. We ordered our drinks. My partner had a sangria and I had a beer. The lighting was a little dim and the building looks like it has been there for a long time and has been repurposed over the years. It gave me old vibes like when we visited New Orleans. The decor was pretty plain, but we loved the swing era music playing. When our drinks arrived we ordered our appetizers and main course. My partner had the papas (potato) tacos to start and the chorizo quesadilla for entree. I ordered the curry crab cake/beignet to start and a chorizo burrito for entree. The menu selection is very interesting. You can choose between Mexican, American, or French cuisine. Our appetizers came out timely. They were both executed to perfection. My crab cake beignet was perfectly cooked. Crisp outer crust with a soft perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned crabby center. The filling was full of crab and was not bready. I believe I said it was the best crabcake/beignet I ever had. The papas tacos were equally delicious. The tacos were crispy which complimented the fillings. We cleared the plates. Then our entrees arrived a short time later. No complaints here either. It's hard to screw up a quesadilla and a burrito, however, they executed these dishes to perfection as well. The ratios of the ingredients were ideally prepared and were cooked precisely. We cleared the plates. We opted for dessert. I wanted flan which they sadly did not have at this outing. So we ordered a Churro with vanilla ice cream. The churro was a little dense for my liking (not as crispy as I expected) however when paired with the ice cream, coffee, and tea it was still very enjoyable. All the while the staff were patient, polite, responsive, and attentive. We were so pleased we left the 30% tip. needless to say they exceeded my already high expectations. I recommend this place, we are already planning a Mother's Day trip.

What a spot in an unexpected place! We went on a Saturday night, and there were plenty of tables open (although I had also made a reservation via FB Messenger). We started with cocktails, which were quite affordable! I loved the mango margarita - so fruity and delicious. The menu is so interesting - we wanted to try everything! First, they brought out warm baguette with butter. The perfect start to our French-Mexican meal! Then we enjoyed the goat cheese tartlets app which had caramelized onions and bits of bacon. YUM! For entrees, we got the skirt steak with caramelized onions, potatoes, and guacamole as well as the moules du Mexique, mussels with chorizo and jalapeños. Both of the dishes were unique and delish. And the portions were great - we had leftovers for dinner the next day! The service was quick and attentive, and overall we left with a great feeling. It was the best meal we had while staying in Pine Bush. Un *beso* para Bistro du Mexique!

Cute little restaurant. This is my third time there and though underwhelming the first two times I'm glad I tried again . The isla azul drink was beautiful and delicious , the skirt steak was very good , cooked well . French onion soup was ok but I get French onion soup anywhere that has it so I'm very picky with that . Will go back if I see some good specials . Worth a try

Tres Leches and Crème Brûlée!

Bistro Du Mexique was an unexpected GEM. A restaurant that serves two of my favorite cuisines but on their own accord, not in fusion form... Came here for a date night Saturday night and got a table inside with ease. All the staff was super kind and attentive. The warm bread and butter to preface the meal was a treat. We had the Shrimp tostadas, French Onion Soup, and Sea Bass, all of which were delicious. To finish the meal with both a Mexican AND French dessert was sublime.. homemade Tres Leches and Crème brûlée. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Leche cake , pears in red wine , chocolate lava cake !

Our server…read moreEmory was kind and helpful -- she even learned the name of all six people at our table and remembered them for the entire dinner. The food at One With Land is sourced locally and tasted great. For our appetizer and main course we tried the potato croquettes, rainbow carrots, fusilli with short rib, garganelli primavera, rib eye steak, and the burger. Everyone's entrees tasted great and had large portion sizes. My favorite dish was the rainbow carrots with salsa macha -- the carrots were perfectly tender and the salsa macha had good flavor and spice. We ordered grandma's olive oil cake and dark chocolate-espresso torte for dessert, and the restaurant also brought out warm doughnuts as we were celebrating a birthday. All three desserts were delicious and unique, but the warm doughnuts with Nutella stole the show. The restaurant appears to be located in a historic house, and the interior decorating is very neutral and modern. Every detail large and small seemed carefully well thought out, from the service and table layouts to even the Aesop soap with pumice in the bathroom (that I would now like to buy). I'd recommend One With Land to anyone visiting the Hudson Valley area looking for great food or a romantic night out.

This is top farm to table restaurant for me! I love how the outside is like country farm house and…read moreyou walk in and it's modern cool vibes through and through. It's a small restaurant and the layout and decorations are perfect! I would suggest having a reservation if you can, because it is tiny but not in a hole in the wall kind of way more in a cool private elite dining room kind of way. Shout out to the bar tender who is amazing. Rumor is she was working at the restaurant that was here before (Hoot Owl) and she was so good the owners of this new restaurant brought her here. I can believe it her drinks are impeccable! A friend told me an experience before about how she got a drink and not because of the bar tender but because of her palate she didn't prefer it. She wasn't going to complain. She just didn't drink it. The staff noticed her drink wasn't touched and they asked her about it. She explained it wasn't her preference so they took it and got her something else. That's exceptional service! She didn't say it they went to her! 10/10, all restaurants should have such attentiveness and kindness towards their customers. Now ...the food!! Wow! I mean I dream about this shaved celery salad they have. Like it's celery, which don't get me wrong I personally think it's one of the most important ingredients in a dish but when it's added to something not when it's the main star. They managed to make it the main star and it's beautiful, sophisticated, and most importantly it tastes good. Honestly everything I have tried here is yummy. The burger is probably the cheapest entree on their menu which is about $24 if I remember correctly. Don't think because it's a lesser price point you are missing out on quality or taste. The burger is huge, the fries are perfectly seasoned and crisp, and the burger patty is juicy and flavorful. Oh and the bun! That soft pillow bun that is holding that juicy patty....drooling! I truly have not had a dish here that they have done bad and I hope they never prove me wrong. As pricing goes it's farm to table so expect a higher price point since they are using quality ingredients but it's not high enough that it will break the bank!

The eggs were perfectly cooked soft and buttery. And the sour dough toast with that perfect sour dough tang was the perfect edition. Even the coffee in the French press takes the coffee to another level. But talking about Oak & Reed flair the signature waffle was possibly one of the best things I have eaten. The waffle with that pearl sugar is the way a waffle should be made but then they have that waffle filled with Dutch caramel and that mascarpone on top is perfect. The tang, sweetness, butteriness, the crisp yet fluffy waffle it all was an equation for an amazing breakfast item. I could eat that every time I go. Truly amazing. The staff in Oak & Reed is always amazing attentive and kind. Live the open kitchen concept. Especially with my two year old currently in a Ratatouille kick so she wanted to see the chefs while she looked for Remy cooking. All in all Oak & Reed never disappoints.

So I was excited when we finally got a chance to try it. And here is where it may have been my fault, maybe I hyped it up too much. So the funny thing when we arrived at the restaurant and I saw another friend. She told me it was her first time and it wasn't good (this was a warning!) she said especially the chicken and waffles. So again maybe it's my fault because I didn't listen. My heart was set on the chicken and waffles and she was right. It was not good. Like how do you mess up chicken and waffles? It was lacking all types of flavor. It was bad. Why 3 stars than? Because their Spicy Pork Congee was amazing! It's an Asian rice dish and everything that lacked flavor in the chicken and waffles was made up in this dish. The problem? This is only an appetizer. It needs to be an entree, which would mean making it a larger portion. It was fantastic! They also had a decent beer selection which we got. The inside of the restaurant is cute. It has so much potential I just think maybe a revamp of the recipes. But maybe another dish would be good. We came for brunch so I don't know how their dinner menu is. I will probably give them another chance because how amazing the congee was I know they have potential to be great.

But when I want to have an elevated experience with a nod to fine dining, this is my go-to. I always bring friends from out of town here and everyone is impressed. The bartenders make the best martinis and Manhattans you'll find, along with a seasonal cocktail menu that features something for everyone, including mocktails. When I don't want a full dining experience but the hubs and I have a babysitter, we like to sit at the bar for martinis and oysters - SO FRESH! If you don't do oysters, anything on the appetizers list is a wonderful light bite. I don't know what kind of magic the chef uses to make the salads but they are always simple, yet stunning. For dinner, the steak is hard to pass up if you eat red meat. I usually get the single serving NY strip, which is incredible. You can't go wrong. I'm excited to try the porterhouse for 2. My mollusk loving friend raved about the mussels and the fish selection is fantastic. I'm not a big dessert person, but splitting any of the desserts is a treat. Alternatively, the digestif selection doesn't disappoint. The bartenders and bar manager, Nick, are helpful in guiding your taste buds to the right choice. Bud, the owner, whose previous establishments can be read about in some respectfully placed articles around the restaurant, is always accommodating for the busiest place in town. It's nearly impossible to get a seat on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9, but he will be honest and create a space at one of the little side bar areas if he can. The ambiance is sexy and sophisticated with a touch of whimsy. The toilet paper holder in the restroom always makes me smile (IYKYK). Having been to this restaurant many times, you'll start to see familiar faces as there is now a strong regular crowd. The community and connections that I've found while at Lyonshare have enhanced my experience of living in Beacon. Oh, last thing - brunch is a can't miss, must do culinary event.
