BE ADVISED Senior Citizens and those with other health conditions: I went today, only my second restaurant outing since Pandemic. I was extremely disappointed by the servers not wearing masks. These are the people closest to me and my food order. I did not intend to put myself at risk from direct contact with anyone. Tables were spaced but wait staff was too close to our table and closer even to the food I was to eat but obviously the staff cares not about protecting their customers. I come here all the time and have never had a bad experience. Most recently, I came for lunch with two friends and we sat on the patio. We all ordered sandwiches and they were delicious as usual. I got the chicken caprese sandwich which was a special a couple of months back, but is now on the main menu. We also got the $5 vodka freeze special. We usually get Chambord in them, but the server suggested Gran Marnier and it didn't disappoint. One of my favorite things here is the bread pudding. I love how they change the flavor up based on what's in season. This restaurant is perfect for kids. My daughter loves to come with me. The staff here is always friendly, service is fast too. It does get very crowded during dinner time, but lunch usually doesn't have a long wait for a table. I have tried soups, salads, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, plates, pretty much a little something from every portion of the menu and have not had a bad item in the many many years I've been eating here. read more

King cake bread pudding.. five stars... it's that amazing. Just do it. For real, the rest of the food we tried was pretty good too! The shrimp quesadilla off of the happy hour appetizer menu was small but awesome. My fiancé loved the mozzarella bites. They had some pretty creative Mardi Gras themed beverages, but we didn't try any. I will be back to try more menu items and hopefully it will be before the King cake bread pudding is gone! read more

One of my favorite places on the Northshore but service tonight was bad. we got stuck in a tiny table that had us sitting practically in a walkway when there was a table behind us that another couple got seated at after us. we saw our waitress once when she took our order. the bartender brought the drinks because I think they were just sitting at the bar. Someone else brought our food. we finished our drinks, dinner and the water that was left at the table and sat there until I got up to ask the hostesses for the check. They all scrambled to figure out who it was. Our server finally brought our check and just asked if we wanted anything else. read more

Everything here is good. My favorite thing on the menu is their carrot soufflé. I get it every time we come and it is the best side you will ever have. Luckily this visit they had a seasonal carrot soufflé bread pudding. OMG... could this be the holy grail of desserts?! Try it... and take one home. You will love it!!!! Their mains are good too... The food is never good here. I don't know what else to say other than it's very meh. Nothing is ever hot or even warm. And it does not taste good. This is one of my favorite places for a dinner date with my husband. The food and drinks are awesome. They have a great happy hour. We've tried the Moscow Mule and ordered from the martini menu on different visits. The asian tuna salad is amazing. I want to try lots of other menu items, too, because the menu sounds so appealing. I was visiting family and they recommended this restaurant for dinner, on a Friday night. Needless to say, the wait was pretty long and once we got inside and sat down the first thing we noticed was how LOUD the restaurant was. It didn't help that there was a rowdy table sitting in the corner and it was rather difficult to hear each other over a normal conversation. We dealt with the noise and ordered our drinks. Seems like it was taking a very, very long time to get them and when we asked our waiter the status of the drinks he seemed offended and barked, I haven't forgotten you! I thought it was kind of rude. I ordered redfish almandine and a side green salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I thought the red fish was a little over cooked and the almonds were not toasted. It was OK. The asparagus and Parmesan orzo that came with it was delicious though. When I got my check, I was really shocked to see that they actually charged me $.25 for the dressing for my salad! Seriously!? I don't know, maybe I'll try the restaurant again during the day for lunch one day when it's not so busy, or so loud. The menu did have a nice selection to choose from. And according to other yelp reviews, there are some dishes I wouldn't mind trying. I guess you'll have to try for yourself and form your own opinion. read more

We came here last night with some friends we hadn't seen in several years. We were there for four hours and the manager could not have let us feel more welcome. After a few hours in one spot he asked if we would move to another table so they could combine some tables, and then even comped us dessert and coffee! The hospitality blew us away. But let's talk about the food. I had the shepherds pie, not something you usually see on a menu. They used roasted green beans instead of peas, and three cheeses on top. Holy moly, was it good. The portion was a good size, but it was so delicious I wanted more. This is a wonderful place to catch up with friends. Friendly, accommodating service and great food. Great Restaurant! The service was impeccable! The decor was fabulous! The food was delicious! Picked this place based on yelp reviews, as we were just passing thru. I had the Red Fish Almondine with asparagus and roasted potatoes, which was amazing! My son had the grilled salmon with cheddar topped mashed potatoes with fresh sautéed spinach, soooo yummy! And my husband had the Red Fish Tacos with Roasted Corn, so very good!!! Oh, we also had the crab beignets as an appetizer. A savory type, reminded me of Crab Rangoon, but in a beignet. This is a great little place and I've yet to have an un-enjoyable meal here. It is more upscale, so expect lunch for two to run anywhere from $20-$30 dollars. They're probably the last place around that still makes sure every table has ice water and I love the decor. Probably the best dish on the menu is the pot roast, which is why my husband orders it almost every time we go. I've ordered a variety of soups and salads and been pleased every time. As another commenter said, my husband said the Ahi Tuna was disappointing, so you probably want to skip that one. I have heard the iced vodka freezes are amazing, but I haven't gotten to try them, but I can imagine that an iced vodka freeze and some of their homemade fries would make a great meal at the bar. read more

Love this place. Been coming for years. Owner, Rob, is always welcoming and knows many of his guest. Chef is creative and often features seasonal menu options with local fresh foods. Blue cheese chips are fantastic crowd pleasers and have great add ons. Very nice atmosphere, smiling faces and good service with welcome feedback! The quality and taste of the food and overall experience is very good for the price. I got the spicy bahn mi and my daughter got the all American, both were extremely good. All prices start at (no lower) than about $12, averaging out at about $15-$18ish, but once again, extremely good with a very large amount of food. Trying cocktails next time! Definitely going back. Small details make it nice... my daughter was very impressed with the carafe of ice water and called it "fancy" :). Fun music in the background as well. Nice little place! It's basically upscale bar food - but that's not a bad thing at all. The Byronz Burger is out of this world good. The Asian Chicken Salad is awesome - chunks of chicken breast surrounded by greens, avocado, and other good stuff in soy/ginger vinaigrette, In fact, the only thing on the menu that I have been less than pleased with was the drilled ahi tuna - it was lacking flavor - I have had much better. Oh well, you can't win them all... Also, there is a pretty good selection of wines by the glass. All in all, this is nice, casual place for pretty good dinner and a few drinks. Bistro Byronz is my restaurant of choice in Mandeville. Food, service, and all around vibe are excellent. The menu is diverse and includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees and specialty items. Appetizing descriptions of each item appeal to all, which makes ordering easy for the picky eaters as well as the truly adventurous! Every time I eat here, someone orders the Bleu Cheese Chips. The Turkey Gruyere Burger is also a huge hit! My personal favorite is the Macaroni and Cheese with Bleu Cheese. I am on a quest to bring back the 4 Cheese Mac & Cheese Bake Special made with the white cheeses. It's so good I've actually tried to duplicate it in my own kitchen. Portion sizes are huge. I can never finish my meal and usually take home at least half of my order. Service is great here! The staff always treats me like a rock star, ok, well, maybe not a rock star, but definitely like a valued customer. Outstanding service is one of the things that keeps me coming back! read more
