Since it was my father's last night in North Myrtle Beach until September I thought it would be a great place to have our last dinner together for a while. I dialed up my app and made a 7PM reservation for three. We pulled in about 6:50 and found a spot right in front of the restaurant...it was going to be a good night. We got inside and chose to sit indoors near the bar. My father likes to see people and I felt this would be a good spot to do this and it was. The restaurant was mid century modern in design, airy and uncluttered...we were seated in a booth - chair combo that was a rendition of that style. We looked at the drink menu and my father went for a glass of Pinot Noir, his friend went for a lemon drop martini and I went for a Heineken 00. The waitress couldn't be nicer and quickly brought us our drinks. The lemon drop was perfect and served in an ice cold steel martini glass while my father was quite happy with his California Pinot. We reviewed the food menu and decided to share two "tables"...the deviled eggs and the pimento cheese dip with home made pork rinds. Within a few minutes, four deviled eggs arrived dressed up with a slice of jalapeño and sprinkled with bacon bits. A large plate of fresh pork rinds with homemade pimento cheese came out simultaneously. The deviled eggs were excellent with just the right texture and not too moist...the bacon bits added another layer of flavor and the jalapeño gave it a nice kick, however, the pork rinds and pimento cheese stole the show. The rinds were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crunch and the pimento cheese was superb...very flavorful with nice chunks of pimento and grated cheese. My father was diving in on the cheese so fast it was tough to get some. His lady friend also commented on how good it was. Next came the mains. My father settled in the American Waygu Burger with hand cut fries, I went for the lamb rack with string beans and roasted fingerling potatoes and the lady went for the Arugula salad with candied pecans, Granny Smith apples , goat cheese and craisins. My lamb was excellent...medium rare with a nice flavorful crust with a hint of garlic and herbs. The potatoes were well roasted and tasty while the string beans were cooked correctly but a tad bland. The arugula salad was delicious with a nice citrus dressing that played well with the candied pecans and craisins...the smith apples was a nice contrast. My father in the other hand, ate way too much pimento cheese and rinds and as a result just picked in his fries, which were excellent...salted well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. He ended up taking the burger home. Amazingly, when dessert was brought up he was all in. Although known for their "Butter Cake" we decided to share(and by share I mean my father had about 90% of it) the Triple Layer Chocolate Cake. Turns out it's as good as it sounds...intense chocolate flavor in a very moist cake with vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped cream on the side...top notch. Sadly, it was getting late and my father had an early plane to catch so we got the bill(more reasonable than I expected), tipped the excellent waitress and said our good nights. We made plans to come back in September...although I'll be back well before that...Bar 19 Twelve will be going on my rotation.

There are two other restaurants across the parking lot so parking can be limited after six pm. But, there is a valet service when the lot gets full.

It was not good, that even my daughter didn't like it. As for my Big Chill Island salad was also a disappointment. Not sure what it was but the flavors just didn't go well together. Service. Service is the first thing that pops to mind when thinking about Bistro 90, secondly, it's the pork belly. Ive dinned here once for lunch and twice for dinner. Lunch was a delicious arugula and poached pear salad with feta, fresh berries, Spanish almonds and cucumber with house made dressing. A large portion and very fresh. Fried green tomatoes were just enough coating to be not to much, scattered merrily across the top is a confetti of sweet corn and roasted peppers. It looks like a party on a plate. They come topped with crab meat, although I requested mine to not have it, it got missed in the order and was served with. No biggie, I just pushed aside. I would definitely order this again. Finally, our first dinner, while on a meat fast, I asked for an option, Roland was quick to acquiesce. He suggested Risotto with a port wine mushroom reduction and roasted vegetables..perfect risotto and this combination. This should be on the menu all the time. Absolutely delicious. Our second dinner I had the pork belly that came with scallops. This was just enough pork belly, not too undercooked and not overcooked, a great smokey grilled flavor. You can't go wrong with pork belly. My husband had the deckle steak which was a first for him as a beef lover. Possibly one of the best steaks he's ever had. Others in our group oohed and awed as they enjoyed their selections. The dishes are bold, original and not remotely fussy. Portions are large, service is smooth. I have to mention the extensive wine list, Bistro 90 has been the recipient of Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 6 years in a row. Did I mention you can get Caymus by the glass?!! Also, an excellent stocked bar with aged and hard to find liquors that you can't find everywhere. Off the main road and out of the busy-ness of Myrtle Beach it's definitely worth a short drive off Hwy 22. The menu on the website is a bit hard to read, it would help to change to a white background so you can see all your options, or go blindly and be prepared to delight your palate. read more

We recently dined at Bistro 90 and the service we received from our waiter; Casey was phenomenal! Not only did he pay very close attention to our needs and wants he also paid close attention to detail, our drinks were never empty, extra silverware was in place before we asked, in sharing a few dishes extra plates were brought out before the food etc. He was able to accomplish all this without making us feel as though he was hovering. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials and the various cuts of meats. We did have a wine question and he readily admitted he wasn't sure of the answer and would get someone who could help us; almost immediately another gentlemen(not sure of the name) came to our table and answered all our questions and even made a few recommendations based on our questions. We followed one of his suggestions and were very satisfied. The most amazing thing was this was only our 2nd trip to Bistro 90; the last being 5 to 6 months ago and Casey recognized us! What a special evening. I brought my mother in with me to celebrate her birthday and catch up on some much needed girl time. We ordered one of the features of the evening which was honey-bourbon glazed jumbo shrimp served with a pineapple slaw on sesame water crackers. What an outstanding combination of sweet, salty and slight crunch from the cracker. We continued on with a lobster tail and center cut Chilean sea bass served with an orange-ginger glaze, which I paired with a glass of Nickel & Nickel Chardonnay. Both entrees were prepared to perfection and beautifully roasted vegetables accompanied our meals. We sat at the bar and had a nice leisurely dinner. The atmosphere is inviting, comfortable and we both enjoyed outstanding service from Casey. The attention to detail continues to amaze me and Roland makes it a point to check in with every guest ensuring your dining experience is wonderful. A restaurant you must try! We stumbled upon this place and have already recommended it to friends! We ate at world famous Gibson's steakhouse in Chicago this Christmas season and Bistro 90's 8 oz. filet beat theres hands down. I had the Chilean seas bass - amazing. The Brussel sprouts were awesome and the dessert was TO. DIE. FOR! Save room. Love this place; been coming for a few years. They are the best and will customize ur experience. Took my wife there for our anniversary. Called them a day ahead and asked if they could do something special for our table. Walked in and there were rose peddles all over the table. Looked amazing. I will take it from here" as I gave him the keys to my car and he handed a ticket to identify my car. They still confirmed our arrival on their list and after waiting for a few minutes, they sat us at our table earlier than the opening time and started service. Out of the many places I have been to, it is the first time I see servers all come out at once with a demeanor of "it is go time". No hesitation, not dragging their arms... it looked like they had been waiting for this moment and it could not come soon enough... they were eager to serve us. I had my youngest child who is very inquisitive and the server had no issues answering questions and making concessions. What the server described about the things we were ordering was on-point. We knew exactly what we were getting and, quite honestly, the food and beverages were even better than described even when she was very detailed. I noticed a gentleman who was prepping our plates and believe me when I say, this fella was making sure everything was perfect. We could see the body language and the focus when setting everything on the plate. He wanted nothing out of place. That said, the food was nothing short from incredible. I had a New York strip steak which is probably my favorite cut. The seasoning, the cook and the tenderness was so great that I believe this might have been the best steak I have had and I have had many from the east coast all the way to the west and from north to south. The server came around the perfect amount of times to refill, ask if everything was okay or to take plates away. We were never left unattended at the point we felt we were the only ones there although the place was getting busy very quick. Food came out very prompt, but the quality never suffered. The manager came to us, introduced herself and said "if you need anything, do not hesitate to call me over". Once we were done enjoying our meals, my server asked me for my ballet parking ticket. She said to not worry about rushing but that she would keep an eye out for us and would make sure our car was ready by the time we needed to leave. When we closed our tab and started to leave our table, I could see her rush to the ballet and come back. By the time we walked to the door, my car was right there waiting for me. Plain and simple, I know it is fine dine. But I have experienced places that when you come with children they may not take you as serious or put you wherever you wouldn't bother anyone and even put you in the back burner. Here? If this is not excellent service, with staff that cares and high quality food, I don't know what is. This place has high standards and it shows. So, I will confidently say, you don't have to try this place... you NEED to try this place. I have never been as confident about recommending a place as I am about New York Prime. This is a well oiled machine that will not let anyone down. Great job to everyone who was serving guests on August 20, 2026 at 5pm. You guys rocked it! Customer experience 101 at the best of its versions!

UPTWN Prime--whether you spell it that way or simply call it Uptown Prime--is one of Myrtle Beach's newest upscale steakhouses. The restaurant specializes in 21+ day dry-aged USDA Prime beef, fresh seafood, and an impressive selection of bone-in cuts. The elegant dining room, live music, and expertly crafted cocktails create a polished yet welcoming atmosphere. We started the evening with a beautifully presented sushi appetizer, which strong way to begin a meal at a steakhouse. It set the tone for what would be an excellent dining experience. The meal continued with the house-made bread. It was so good that we asked for a second loaf. There were three of us, including our youngest dining companion--affectionately known as "Little Man," "Small Fry," or "Half Pint." He's an exceptionally picky eater, which can make restaurant outings a challenge. The staff couldn't have handled it better. After checking with the chef, they created an off-menu veal burger on a freshly baked house-made bun. Little Man devoured it faster than I could finish my excellent gin martini, which says everything you need to know. For our entrées, I ordered the Delmonico ribeye while my friend chose the filet mignon. My ribeye was beautifully cooked, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the rich wine demi-glace, which was outstanding. My only disappointment was discovering that the steak was wet-aged rather than dry-aged. While still delicious, it lacked the concentrated, nutty depth of flavor that I personally look for in a premium steakhouse. The restaurant also offers a well-curated wine list. I enjoyed a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon that complemented the steak perfectly. What truly sets Uptown Prime apart, however, is the service. The willingness of the staff and chef to accommodate a picky child with an off-menu entrée demonstrated a level of hospitality that's increasingly rare. Combined with excellent sushi, outstanding cocktails, quality food, and an inviting atmosphere, Uptown Prime is a welcome addition to Myrtle Beach's dining scene. I'll happily return--next time I'll be ordering one of their dry-aged steaks.

The best part was the owner's visits to the table. He would describe dishes that made you hungry. We ordered (at his recommendation) the eggplant parm, a fish dish and a shrimp scampi. The fish and shrimp were delicious but the eggplant that two of us ordered was not edible. The owner visited at the end of our meal where we shared the bad news about the eggplant dishes. He was very concerned that we had not had a good meal. He offered to cook up something else to make us happy. Of course we refused. He comped both of the eggplant dishes! He didn't have to do that but we appreciated it. Although this place was a disappointment, the owner's enthusiasm and commitment to great service and good food will bring us back for another try.

I decided I wanted to have my birthday dinner here because based on prior visits I knew my food…read morewould be good. However, I was disappointed and wish I had selected a different restaurant. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. He knew the menu very well and answered all our questions. The restaurant was very loud and noisy which did fit the aesthetics of the restaurant. We orders two ribeyes cooked medium-well. Due to their medium being a bright red center. Steaks arrived at the same time but cooked to different temperatures. Mine was very well done. I promptly sent it back. The second one was undercooked. Our server actually brought me a hot skillet from the kitchen to cook it. Our sides were bland and lacked flavor. The quality of the food did not correlate with the cost. The owner did give me a birthday dessert for the inconvenience but it was a small consolation for a lack luster birthday dinner. Perhaps the kitchen was having a bad night or the chef has changed, I don't know what was off. But it was bad enough that I will not be returning.

They had a nice prix fix menu for January. The menu had many good choices which included a starter, entree and shared dessert for $59. Well worth it. The servers are well versed with all the special cocktails and chef's specials. I had the prix fix with charred blue point oysters , lobster ravioli , and brownie with banana gelato for dessert. It was excellent starting with a four oysters with Romano cheese that was a little overpowering for the delicious oysters. The lobster ravioli was so good with poached lobster tail on top of three lobster ravioli. I would go back for that alone. Others in my party had the double cut pork chop which was excellent, a beef filet that was outstanding and grouper . I apologize my pictures did not turn out well. The one miss in my opinion was the oil served with the bread was very bitter. I asked for some butter and was charged $3. For such a fine dining establishment I was surprised. Overall a great experience.

Returned this week and had an awesome meal. It is a steak house, a very nice bourbon and scotch…read morelist. That said we had the lobster escargot and it was fabulous!! The wilted Caesar was very, very good as well. A little weird that ya pay for bread but frankly it was worth it. Prices are very reasonable. Service was good until it got busier and then it was just a bit slow. Definitely on the return to list. Cozy and not too dark.

As an appetizer, I did have the clam chowder - sensational! It is the best that I have tasted, and I've spent a lot of time in New England. One of the waiters had to leave unexpectedly, leaving the staff shorthanded. It didn't matter. Our waiter was on top of his game, and you would have never known they were shorthanded. Fire and Smoke has a great feel, and it is a place you want to come back to again. You can have a great meal, a great conversation, and the food is reasonably priced.
