It does not have fancy polished tables, or special lighting. What it does have is a nice comfortable atmosphere. And Maryland style steamed crabs. This initial Joke was because our Waitress was named Heaven. She was good. Enthusiastic, helpful, knew her products, and was efficient. After grabbing a table and getting comfortable, we placed our drink order. Wife had a Bay Breeze, daughter an Orange Crush, and I had a Draft Sam Adam's Summer Ale. All were good. The Orange Crush must have been potent. It gave the child a buzz, and quickly. (And for anyone wondering, or aghast. The child is 25. Legal alcohol consumption age) For an appetizer we ordered the pretzel and crab balls. The pretzel was 4 large pieces of fresh dough. Stuffed with cheeses and baked. Soft pretzel texture, with the hot melted cheese, very good. The crab balls were all crab meat. Almost no filler. They had a very mild sweet taste, on the back of the tongue. Nice chunks of back fin meat, not overly seasoned. The crab did the talking in this set. I should add, daughter and I are born and bread Southern Maryland. Wife was in Maryland for 30 plus years. But is originally from NY. Crabs are not her thing. But our daughter and I love them. Living between the Chesapeake Bay and Lower Marlboro River. We feel we know a thing or two about good steamed Blue Crab. We ordered 1and a half dozen crabs, and the wife had a Crispy Chicken Wrap. The Wrap came with Thrasher style fries. It was good. Fries reminded us of Ocean City. And that is a good thing. They only had Medium crabs. But not a disappointment. These things were fat, heavy, and perfectly seasoned. There was not a lite Crustacean in the bunch. Their meat was sweet and firm. They were really good. And not a one survived our feeding frenzy. Is this place the perfect Crab House, no. They don't have Natty Bo. (IYKYK). But not their fault. Some antiquated SC beer distribution rule. Other than that, we have no complaints. And will be returning soon.
