Hey folks, Welcome to Jake's Bistro 58 bar. Located on Jake's casino ground floor across from the check-in desk. It was great to be back here again after all the covid closures. Many of the staff team were still here and remembered me after our 2 year absence. Thank you. Really hungry and thirsty, I pulled up to the bar. I was grateful that the place was still here. The menu availability was brief. Only about 10 items, Ive included a recent menu photo. There's currently no Sunday buffet or dinner items like steaks ect available at this time. The courtesy and interaction from the staff really helped make up for the current void of their other usual amenities. I really enjoyed my drinks, talking with the bartenders. I ordered a hot cheese steak sandwich, I was so grateful for anything, I inhaled the hogie in minutes. Watching last night's Mets game as I ate was ok, as they did win. It was so good to get out again. We we're happy for company and a few drinks at a bar again. The lack of some of their items was understandable . We're really looking forward to the return of the steaks and buffet again. Thanks again to the staff who made a big difference. See you folks again soon.

So its a hotel restaurant right outside of Jake's 58 Casino. It's a solid "3 stars", not too bad but nothing special. Decor is okay, it's open and airy. Service was pretty slow. They could certainly do better.

Service good. Boneless wings quality is terrible. Go back to the ones from last month.

To top it off, there was a young guy singing Frank Sinatra classics in the middle of the week, which gave the place such a fun and classy vibe. For appetizers, we tried the wonton nachos, which were absolutely delicious. The meatballs and mozzarella were good, though a bit heavier on the bread than I prefer. Dinner was outstanding across the board. We ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, hamburger, crab cakes, and the Rockefeller French dip, and every single dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is trendy, with an amazing bar and great atmosphere. I highly recommend checking this place out -- we'll definitely be back!

The old back room had been transformed into an official party room with a separate bar and restroom and closed off with decorative barn doors. The bar area offers ample seating, with the dining area ( offering table service) behind the bar wall overlooking the main stage. Greeted warmly greeted when we first entered with only a five minute wait ( we had a reservation and I highly recommend making one). Again warmly welcomed by our server Nicole who provided an outstanding service throughout the evening. Nicole was friendly, engaging and offered excellent dinner and drink suggestions. Live music was on tap on this Friday evening which did make the dining room rather loud for holding table conversations but worth the live music being played that evening. The cocktail menu offers a good and varied selection of mixed drinks and wine and the mixed drinks are both flavorful and expertly presented. I would highly recommend both the Flappers Folly ( a refreshing floral mix) and the Espresso Martini drinks. Started off with the hot honey & bacon brussel sprout appetizers which were perfectly flavored with the honey and bacon bits over crispy brussel sprouts. All main dish items were very good. The Old Sport Burgers were juicy, flavorful and all cooked to perfection served with crispy string French fries. The French Dip Au Jus was well seasoned and not to dry with a flavorful au jus. I would highly recommend the Gatsby Grain dish bowel. Shredded chicken served over jasmine rice and vegetables was outstanding and served with a side salad. Restaurant manager Cathy was very visible in the dining room checking in with every table and asking for feedback which you don't see very often nowadays. Even got a personal tour of the new party room ( looking for a location for a future event). Overall good food reasonably priced , excellent service and nice decorum with live music offered on the weekends. A great place to grab a drink and listen to music while catching a great burger or the Gatsby Grain dish bowel . You won't be disappointed.

Housed in a landmark Floral Park building, this gem has a warm ambiance with low lighting, leather booths, and quiet background coffee-sleepy-jazz in the background (Though, as a fan, I wish they hadn't messed with the Sly and the Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay" :D). There is an inviting large bar, an open kitchen, and a large private room in the back. The menu is American classics made with premium ingredients. Although his place is known for their single malt whiskey, craft beer and signature cocktails, only one at our table had a cocktail: EZ Money made with gin, prosecco, lemon, cucumber and St- Germain Elderflower Liqueur. I will look at their wine list next visit. As for the food, the garlic bread and calamari did not disappoint. Our table ordered a variety of dishes. A unique rotisserie chicken salad sandwich, a salmon bowl, and an order of mussels. Each dish was a win. I chose a great mesclun green salad and had to try the double smash burger, a mouth-watering proprietary blend of prime chuck, brisket and short rib which I'd have to talk myself out of not re ordering with my next visit. A really intimate place, with probably like 15 tables max inside, and a little bar that can sit also about the same amount of people, but still looks new and fresh, and also be on the lookout because when you're driving the place sneaks up on you. The friendliest service, Lauren who seated us and served us was truly genuine, and I told her I really appreciate that as most restaurants don't have that sense of personal customer service, actually noticeable and appreciated. The food was also really good, the dip was flavorful, could be a little warmer but still very good, the chips were next level, and this was a huge hit. The calamari was lightly breaded, and also I do appreciate the two sauces to choose from when dipping, either Kung Pao or Marinara. I got the Pastrami Rub Tuna over Scallion Mash, and when I first looked at it I thought the fish piece was a bit small, but after eating it, it was the perfect size, and the mash was delicious, and the Wasabi Sauce to dip the fish really made the dish Pop. Drinks were okay, started with a kick and boozy but finished a bit watery for my first one, the second one I had with Mescal was a 10/10 though. This place needs attention, and the fact that it is still pretty low key and food influencers haven't descended to blow up it's spot is awesome.

Other reviews are correct - they don't have pacing down. They want to turn the table over and you really feel it. If you don't want to feel rushed book a weekend table at 8pm or after, otherwise you bet your bootie they have that table committed right behind you. Appetizers arrive before drinks, entrees arrive before you've finished your appetizer. Not a very luxurious feel to the experience. Last visit the biggest flaw was that I ordered a filet, which they serve with a peppercorn sauce and some onion rings. The sauce and rings were good. What was completely inexcusable was that they attempted to substitute the filet with a Picanha steak, which is a cheaper and tougher cut. Absolute BS. If you order the Picanha (cheaper) it's prepared differently, which means they clearly substituted the beef in my dish because it was made with the filet's sauce and onion rings accompaniment. Just note, since it's become quite popular it can get loud in here during dinner. Not a negative per se if you like an energetic dining room, but it's no longer a place to grab an intimate date night meal anymore.
