Hubby and I came here for lunch. The bistro is located inside Holiday Inn on the ground floor. The place is enormous, with a big bar in the middle and dining areas surrounding the bar area. We checked in at the hotel and then came here for lunch. They open at noon, so try to give the bartender time to prepare to serve. Lunch was served by the bartender because they don't get a lot of crowds coming here for lunch unless there's an event. We had Beet Goat cheese salad and Chicken Quesadilla. I liked their Goat Cheese salad. It was served in a big bowl and filled me up after. It was served with strawberries, orange on top, and many slices of beets. Yummy! I also tried the Quesadilla. That was not bad at all. The following day we had breakfast here too. I had Huevos Rancheros and Hubby had some eggs. Breakfast turned out to be good too. Very good meals for our one-night stay.

Beet Goat Cheese Salad--decent but with canned beets.

Awful. Dinner was all reheated food and overpriced. The vegetables were frozen and the chicken was oily. Fish and chips were 100% reheated from a bag. Breakfast the next morning was inedible. I ordered the veggie skillet and instead of broccoli it had carrots. The breakfast potatoes were old and chewy as well. That went back. The avocado toast replacement had blistered cherry tomatoes with the stem on. C'mon! And I believe on the two pieces of toast the cook may have used 1/2 an avocado total it was so sparse. The scrambled eggs were the only thing I was able to eat. Plus the waiters just wanted to be anywhere else and were very unfriendly. Please please go anywhere but here.

I'm not a fan of hotel lobby restaurant, they are normally lackluster and overpriced. Faced with few choices in this area and my level of fatigue I opted for convenience. In this Covid era I'm just happy to have a meal yet this meal was nearly edible. The bartender/waiter was top shelf. He moved quickly and was a perfect attendant. I did a Yelp check in and a 10% coupon came up, the waiter said "we don't use Yelp we use Groupon" why argue? Yet Yelp needs to know this was the first time one of their check in coupons was denied. Several nice choices on the menu I went with the Soba noodles and coconut shrimp with mango salsa. The shrimp were good but the salsa was more apple than mango. I ate it mostly because I had a super long day and no lunch. They need to up that mango salsa recipe. The Soba noodle dish was mushy! Seemed like overcooked Raman although the vegetables were crisp. My observation is as usual lobby restaurants are not your best choices. I'd grab takeout if staying in this Holiday Inn.

I haven't been to the Bistro, per se, but rather the hotel bar. It's been a couple of years since my last visit, and I must say that the remodel is pretty sweet. The upgrades and bright, open space is a definite improvement from its former, outdated look. Wait, the owner spent a ton of dough for the remodel, but didn't put a sound system around the bar? Yeah, the little boombox on a barstool just isn't what I was expecting. After a hard day's work, it's nice to unwind at this hotel bar. Both bartenders, Ken and Christine are good peoples. They'll chat you up and try to remember when you return. Christine is fvckin crazy, and I mean that in the bestest way possible. She's definitely got a firecracker personality. Ken is chill in comparison, and definitely a cool dude. I appreciate that the pours are heavy, especially since the bottle beers are not that cheap (convenience charge - i get it). I've had a couple of menu bar bites. Very filling. Decent chop house burger. Club sandwich is colossal as advertised. Good fries. I'll have to sample some tapas next time. Nibbling on the cheap? Ask for bar snacks. They keep a mystery bin behind the bar.

Say it with me....Cajun Chicken Pasta. This is my favorite dish, and I try it at different places whenever I can. This version is a good one. Spicy, flavorful, just the right amount of sauce. It comes on the menu with shrimp and peppers but I nixed those and added in some extra onions. One word of caution. Side salads come with tomato and cucumber, nix those and your left with mixed greens only. Kinda odd....I figured I'd at least get a crouton and onion ring, but oh well, I need more spinach in my diet anyways.

The sound system at Bistro 46.

I travel extensively, and I'm used to an occasional bad service. I usually roll with it and just move on to the next town. But the service at Bistro 46 was so bad, it inspired me to join yelp just to post this review. I had dinner in the bar area recently on a non-busy Tuesday night. It's clear the bartenders are there to socialize with friends and regulars rather than provide attentive service. A colleague joined me after I had ordered a drink and dinner. They served me after he sat down, and they never offered him a drink or took his food order. The sound system consisted of a boom box blaring somebody's insane iTunes playlist. I've posted a picture of the sound system, lol. I consumed my meal, and my colleague, still waiting, left to go find food elsewhere. I stayed an additional 45 minutes waiting for my bill and eventually gave up. At the front desk I told them what happened and gave them my room number to charge if they dared. They did, and dialed in a big tip for themselves as well. Nice. The front desk was clueless regarding the hotel's "satisfaction guarantee" in this situation. With no other food choices within walking distance, I would choose another hotel unless you had a car.

I got food poisoning from this place if you want to call it a restaurant. I wouldn't go there again even if you paid over a billion dollars.

Our server was Evelyn, and she was so sweet and she helped us when we were trying to decide between two desserts and three appetizers. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. All in all, this was a super solid meal, there's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is quite spacious, and the single bathrooms are also pretty large.

As an appetizer to share, we really like the totchos or the Asian nachos. The various items listed reflect cuisines from many different ethnicities presented in thoughtful combinations. This last trip, I even tried one of the poke bowls and even that was well thought out and had good flavor. My only real criticism is that too many of their items are quite spicy which limits choices a bit for my palate, but where they can dial down the spice or put something on the side (or leave it off) they have always been accommodating. Service is quick. Decor is lively and fun. Do not expect to have a quiet meal hear as the ambiance is rather festive. Managers and staff are helpful and friendly. Many tables at Dirty Taco and Tequila were occupied and it was pretty busy when we came in, but we were seated after waiting just a little while. Dirty Taco and Tequila only takes reservations for large groups. Dan Z was our server and he was amazing. He was very attentive, happy, and friendly. He asked if it was our first time at Dirty Taco and Tequila and gave us a brief introduction to the menu and his recommendations. I had the Asian Pear cocktail and it was very yummy. The Asian Pear cocktail has Grey Goose vodka, pear nectar, st. germaine, lime juice, and agave. My friends had pineapple margarita, coconut margarita, and strawberry kiwi margarita. For margaritas, you can add salt or sugar on the rim. We ordered Guac & Chips for the table. The guacamole, tomatoes, cilantro, lime, and red onion were very good and great to share. I ordered the Bulgogi Taco and the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. My favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. It had pan fried shrimp, cabbage slaw, tossed in bang bang sauce, sriracha drizzle served on flour tortilla. This taco was packed with flavor and really good. The bulgogi taco didn't have bulgogi, they were steak strips. My husband had the Pork Belly Taco and Korean Short Rib Taco. He really enjoyed it. Our group of 4 stayed for about 2 hours at Dirty Taco and Tequila. They didn't rush us out at all. It's really chill and relaxing atmosphere. I also really like the decor. There is a cash discount if you pay with cash compared to credit card. Definitely looking forward to coming back to Dirty Taco and Tequila!

Then, we didn't see our waitress for a long time until we finally asked the water guy to ask her to stop by. Which took a while again. We ordered more drinks. About halfway through it changed to sweet - but so sweet it was like drinking syrup. It was never stirred so the bottom half was undrinkable. We asked for our waitress to get the check, and asked her to remove the flat soda and my old fashioned. She brought the check, nothing was removed. I explained again and asked the drinks to be removed. Next the bar manager came to our table. She explained to me how old fashioneds are made, that they're never stirred. And some people sip them, some drink them with a straw. I've drank old fashioneds for many years. They are always stirred. And never drank with a straw. But she claimed she's made these for years.
