I enjoyed the Crispy Chicken sandwich with its garlic aioli sauce - yum! Juicy chicken throughout and a good as advertised crispy coating. My husband got the Seth Cheeseburger (without its tomato) and gobbled it up almost before I remembered to take a picture. We shared a small order of seasoned Home fries which are cut in slices across the potato making a nice disc to hold and dip in the fry sauce or ketchup and mustard- my way. Davis N at the register was friendly and answered all our questions. He also was one of the 2 staff members who kept on top of the dining area by picking up trash and refilling the condiments. Davis also told us the buns are made using a recipe specifically made for the restaurant chain. The ambiance is casual and fun. Good island-esque music played low enough you can have a conversation without straining. It's tough to get a 5 star rating from me but they came close!

Its acidic notes in its dressing balanced out the fish & rice. I don't really like avocado or cucumbers so I ordered it without that salsa. Don't think I missed out on anything. Only other thing I altered was to scrape off some the sesame crusting on the salmon because it did get saltier the further I ate. My Top-Shelf Long Island Ice Tea was really sour. I haven't had one in years so I'm not sure if that's typical or they were too light on the cola in it. My photo shows how pale it is which doesn't look anything like an "ice tea". Although my husband liked his Blue Aloha Mana Margarita (he had this the last time we were there) his Prime Rib Dipper was way too salty. And that was without dipping it in the au jus. He kept it to himself for most of the meal so it wouldn't spoil our anniversary but when the waitress came by with the standard "how's everything?" he finally shared it all. He's been kicking himself since then saying he should have just stopped and not tried to work through it. It will be awhile before he suggests we go to Applebees again. Since he had had enough by then and just wanted to leave, he missed out on their Triple Chocolate Meltdown which he had been eyeing since we sat down.

I ordered the build you own…read moreburger, essentially a classic single patty cheese burger with light mayo, and my friend ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad. When the food arrived, both the burger and salad looked promising, but sometimes, as one knows, looks can be deceiving. For a cheese burger, the burger was a little undersized, in my opinion, and although the quality of the beef was very good and tasted quite good, I could not overlook the fact, that they served the burger with a cold bun. That mishap really bothers me. Cold bread on a burger, simply does not work. I am assuming somebody just missed a step, but that one extra missed step put a huge let down on the burger. My friend's chicken Caesar salad looked promising, but unfortunately, the chicken was very over-salted. You could consume a few pieces of the chicken before becoming overwhelmed with salt. We left the chicken, but ate the salad, which was good. We notified, the server regarding the over salting of the chicken, and she stated she would let the prep team know. No apology nor willingness to make it up. The service was friendly enough, but if you ask me if things could have been better, I would say, "absolutely." Toast those buns and taste your food before it makes it to the pass.
